My niece is 17 and has been loving this restaurant since she could stand on the bench seat in a booth and devour big chips loaded with tableside quac! This is THE PLACE for the tableside quacamole. It is perfectly seasoned. I agree with others that the quesos are very bland. I feel like it is pretty Americanized. Several at our table order the Alambre dish that has your choice of protein along with ham, cheese, onions, peppers, rice and refried beans. Everyone else had food left to take.....NOT ME. I devoured that lunch portion and it really filled me up. Mom and Dad ordered fajitas and seemed to enjoy them. All of the food is incredibly bland and there is no alcohol available even though they have signs every where advertising alcohol and happy hour deals. Apparently they haven't had a liquor license since August 2022, and half the place is under construction. The white queso had no flavor, the Guac was bad and had two pieces of string cheese on it. This place is nothing compared to a California Mexican restaurant, but you know what? I don't expect it to be. According to locals it's the best Mexican restaurant in town and based on their word and my order, I'm going to agree. Came here for an early dinner with my parents and cousin. This is hands down Tex Mex, but I was pleasantly suprised to enjoy a carne asada quesadila that tasted exactly like it was ordered at a taco shop near the Mexican border. Great job! My cousin always orders the hawaiian quesadillas and thinks they're great (never heard of such a thing until here). The guacamole is fresh and their lemonade is refreshing too! I wasn't a fan of the enchiladas. Apparently Tex Mex beef orders are ground vs. shredded? The cheese sauce wasn't up my alley either. Customer service was awesome and the decor and ambiance was just right. I'll be back to explore more on the menu. I better order a carne asada quesadilla juuust in case They have a little bit of everything on the menu which was a bit crazy. I should of trusted other reviewers, but I always try to think the best about a restaurant. Maybe people are too picky. WRONG!! Here is my break down on our experience tonight. Huge menu- so I thought. Over half of it is advertising. I would say that is probably the only thing keeping the doors open. Food is over priced ($32 for the following meal). Chips & salsa- I enjoyed, my wife didn't. Not the best ever, but it was Flavorful salsa, seems like it'll be hot, but it's not. Yellow Queso- very bland, needs a cheese-ier taste. Perhaps it's canned Queso. It Did have a Good consistency. White Queso- came with quesadillas, I'm pretty sure that's what it was. It was horrible. No flavor. Didn't eat. Guacamole- good flavor, we enjoyed. chicken fajita quesadillas- tasteless Chicken fajita. No flavor, the only taste I got was butter from the tortilla. There was a lot of chicken in there. Probably an inch thick. Covered it is salsa to give it a little flavor. My wife refused to eat it after the first couple of bites so I traded my fajita beef. I'll eat anything just to not leave it on the table. Beef fajitas- good amount of beef, onions and bell pepper was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed it until my wife took it over. She's very picky about beef but she said it was good too. They bring you 2 tortillas. 2 tortillas is not enough to eat the fajitas unless your on a keto diet or hate tortillas. That's crazy. Rice and beans were okay. Service- horrible as others have stated. Total of 3 tables occupied tonight. Ran out of water, chips, salsa, tortillas. Had to flag the waiter down to get more. The old man, that stands In The back and stares at people, will not get you anything... I motioned for him, and held my empty glass up, he just turned around and looked behind him as if I was speaking to someone behind him, then turned back and did not look my way again. $0 tip for y'all. We were staying the area and had heard good things about the restaurant. E had high hopes since the chips and hot sauce were a wonderful way to start our meal. The salsa was very good. My chile rellano was just OK and kind of "flat" in taste and presentation. My brother in law's fajitas were good and my sister' entree was good as well. Service was so slow! Had to ask many times to get a refill on water or anything. I asked for a kid lemonade. Server asked pink or normal. I said normal. She liked it and drank about half the glass. We were leaving so I asked for a refill. The server say ok... never came back with her cup. I talked to the lady at front about her lemonade and the server said sorry do you still want it I said yes. Then she was going to add 2.50 onto my bill for another lemonade. I told them The server never told me there's a charge for a refill on a lemonade. This was a horrible experience. The food was cold and soggy. Asked for it to be replaced. They never brought the corrected items. And refused to take it off of the bill. They took a plate that my daughter had eaten off of back to the kitchen to slop more food on it because the enchilada had absolutely no cheese in it. It was a tortilla rolled up with queso thrown on it. The customer service was horrible. Usually go here often. Never again. The dirty plate back to the kitchen by a manager is he deal breaker. Friendly staff welcomed us and since it was Cinco de Mayo, we ordered margaritas. (As if we needed a reason). :-). We had chips and great salsa followed by a "favorite" dish Alambre Tacos. Basically 3 street tacos with fajita beef, shrimp and chicken along with rice and beans. So very good. Our server was wonderful. We don't understand why it doesn't have more stars. This is my third visit and I'm always impressed. They use fresh ingredients and it always shows. I can recommend the steak fajitas. I asked for hot sauce, and they brought a homemade sauce that had great flavor, and plenty of heat. Service is always top notch and everyone is very friendly. To start this review off, my friends and I waited an absurd amount of time for chips and drinks. The waiters were very unkind and did not satisfy my eatery needs. We kindly ask that you fire some of the unenthusiastic employees. I feel like I'm dining at a Motel 6. Commotion in the kitchen interrupted my dining and caused me to lose interest in this place. We have been here close to an hour and have not been served. Waited 30 minutes to pay for my food with other customers waiting longer. The waiter was very rude and quick place you at the end I only had $5 of cash on me which I placed and on the table at the end I asked you cashier to round the bill off so I can give the remainder to you later she did which leaving him a $10 tip as I was scanning my credit card I was charged One price by the time I made it home they have charged me $11 additional dollars as I made a complaint about it I went there they gave me a copy of the credit card information and on it it has suggested tips and the waiter or cashier charged me the highest on the suggested tip after I called and told them the cashier suggested it was an error with my bank after receiving the copy of the credit card turn it over to my bank the next morning my car was charged the correct amount watch your credit card if you go there what you are charged you wait your head already handwritten a price in after scribbling over the receipt food was great check your receipt. read more

We are locals and have found this to be the best Mexican food in the area. We were customers of a different local chain and found the food to be overly greasy and overly cheesed with little flavor. The food here is much lighter and better prepared - more seasoning and less fat. The salsa is homemade and very good. The service is always excellent. When we go out, this is the place to go. It is also very clean and reasonably priced. Of course, we order the Tex-Mex food, not steaks, and have found it consistently good. We had heard good things about this place so we were very excited to try it. We ordered the guacamole since it was supposed to be made at the table and good, and after a while, our server came out and told us it would be a while on the guacamole. No biggie. Well, when it did come out it was pre-made. Still, no biggie, but it was just ok guacamole, a little salt and lemon brightened it up. I ordered the rib eye with mushrooms and asparagus. It took a long time and when it came out, three pieces of asparagus, no mushrooms. I call the server over and tell her I ordered the steak with asparagus and mushrooms. She looks at my plate and goes, "So?" Me, "There aren't any mushrooms." She looks back down, "Oh." She comes back much later with a cup full of mushrooms.
