Like many people, I grew up traumatized from living in an abusive household. Eventually I turned to spirituality for answers and healing. I studied "A Course in Miracles," Science of Mind, Law of Attraction, manifestation and more. I also learned several intuitive healing techniques that helped me personally, as well as other people I have been privileged to work with. It became clear, over time, that while I had mentally embraced my new love-based beliefs and values, I still had a hard time living them. I wasn't walking my talk and didn't know what to do about it. This doctor flat out lied to my face about how I had no issues and was good to go forward with my job immediately then a week later found out that I had to do yet more evaluations the very next day. If you have to do an evaluation I would recommend picking someone else entirely and if you don't have to do any evaluation I would recommend picking someone else entirely. She runs a very unethical very shady operation. And then of course there's the cost we are talking over $3,500 for an evaluation that should have cost $1,800 Max

I was in the room, as her mother, because she wanted me there and what I witnessed was something I've never experienced in counseling and completely unexpected from a place that calls itself Christian. Then the therapist reached out to me and acted like she was not able to connect with my daughter because I was in the room. I was the problem and the therapist has 'seen that so many times before'. I then responded because I needed to share my daughter was horrified and never wants to be in that situation again; she was grateful I was there and said she would've left the room crying had I not been in there with her. I have never heard anything back after my email. Where is the integrity? I share this because I want parents to be cautious. It feels difficult to find people to help when we're struggling and it's sad we can't know there will be peace and safety at a place just because it calls itself Christian.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Jane. My daughter has been in counseling for about 3 years…read morenow and we never saw any results until we started seeing Jane. Jane doesn't just help our daughter, she has given me countless tools as well. I finally feel like I'm actually equipped to be a parent for the first time in 10 years. I also picked up her book Raising Humane Beings and I couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing in 2 days and had so many "ah-ha" moments. The way I parent has basically done a complete 180 since meeting Jane and our family feels so much more calm and connected now. Jane was born to do this work. I've even decided to start going to her myself for non-parenting counseling as well. If you want actual results from counseling, look no further. Jane is the real deal. Edit: After reading through some of the other reviews I feel the need to add that some of the tools Jane offers may not be considered "conventional"... and that's a GOOD THING. That's why her tools actually work. Don't expect the same old song and dance you're going to get from any counselor you go to. If you go into therapy with an open mind and a willingness to do the work, you will see results immediately. An example for me was her "talking stick" exercise. I thought to myself "there's no freaking way out family is going to sit down and do talking stick"... and after Jane had my daughter and I practice it in a session, it's our new favorite thing! It instantly made me feel so much more connected to my daughter and helped her feel heard and validated. But again, having an open mind and being willing to try something different is key. You have to actually want your situation to change, otherwise no counselor or amount of therapy will work. Seems like the only negative reviews were from people that either never actually had a session with her, or went in and didn't try the tools she recommended, which says less about Jane and more about the reviewer IMO.

It was difficult and the methods never felt helpful in the moment because of our patterns but we learned that they were doing deeper work in spite of our resistance.
