I'm a generally healthy person with no complaints who is on a couple long-term maintenance medications for stable conditions. Not only did they require multiple appointments for simple prescription refills, but they then coded these visits as high-complexity - despite the fact that I didn't request them, I had no complaints, and all I needed was a prescription refill (for frame of reference, my previous provider wrote 12-month prescriptions for the same meds). I was billed $176 for each of the virtual prescription refill appointments. My final appointment there before I called it quits was a 15-minute virtual appointment (again, that the provider requested, not me) where ALL I NEEDED was a refill. The provider herself actually coded it correctly, and the billing team overrode the provider and change the appointment to the high-complexity code. I have worked in medical billing, and these appointments do not meet the requirements of a high-complexity code. They will bill EVERYTHING as high-complexity. So if you're someone with a high-deducible plan, this is NOT the practice for you. (Sidenote - they also admitted to me that their self-pay prices are actually LOWER than my contracted rate with insurance, but they would not give me the self-pay price). I went back and forth with their billing team, telling them I'd be happy to pay the bill when it was the correct amount. They stopped responding to me in February 2025. Today I got a letter from collections. I'm petty so I'll be fighting this until the bitter end and making sure that by the time this is over, they'll have spent more than $176 on collections and paying their billing team to argue with me, but I recommend saving yourself the hassle and just avoiding this practice altogether. (Also I can't wait for the part where I get their auto response to this review telling me how concerned they are and to reach out to discuss. I've already done that multiple times and no one there cares to remedy this situation!)

The administrative side has become a mess. On multiple occasions, I've arrived for appointments--lab visits and provider visits alike--only to find that staff weren't even on site. No phone call or text to notify me that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. This has happened three times in six months. Between taking time off work, arranging childcare, and driving across town, it's incredibly frustrating and a huge waste of time. What used to feel like a concierge-level practice now feels like an afterthought. The lack of respect for patients' time and the repeated scheduling failures make it impossible to rely on this office for consistent care. I don't know if it's a management issue or fallout from the Amazon acquisition, but either way, this location no longer delivers the quality or professionalism that patients deserve. **update: you will see response below from OneMedical. However, much of the appointment was spent revisiting prior lab work, which I was told was not valid due to timing and fasting issues. When asked about the prescribed medication, I shared that it was causing cramping and not providing the intended benefit. Despite this, the recommendation was to continue the same course of treatment with minor adjustments. I expressed that I did not agree and was hoping to discuss alternative options. At approximately 1:32, I was told my appointment time was over and that I could discontinue the medication if I chose, review materials later, and return for another visit. When I shared that I did not feel the visit had been helpful, I was told that I was being "mean," which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. I left the appointment feeling dismissed, unsupported, and discouraged. Patients seeking care--especially for complex and often frustrating conditions like perimenopause--deserve to feel heard, respected, and partnered with in their treatment decisions.

I can't for the life of me understand how they can do such things and get away with it . I don't know how many others were kicked out early or showed up to a locked facillity on 4/5/2024 but I hope they all got home safely. To make a long story short, here is are bullet points of what occurred: 1) Reached out to OM to ensure they accepted the new insurance plan I was considering. I was told by TWO different employees that they accepted it. 2) I used this insurance to see my doctor several times over a health concern. 3) Received a bill stating I would need to pay all out of pocket because OM didn't accept my plan. 4) Reached out to various departments at OM asking about this. After several attempts and many delays in getting someone to respond, I was finally told to speak to the office manager. 5) Office manager informed me they would look into it and see what could be done. Few weeks went by, no response. Reached out various times and finally heard back from a new office manager who told me she would look into the issue. 6) Several more weeks went by and still nothing. Left messages and emails and after about 4 months of this, was told I would need to speak to my insurance since they couldn't help me. 7) Due to the amount of time between having received the initial bill and finally being told I need to figure it out myself, I asked for them to please not send the bill to collections since I am very aware that medical offices will quickly take this route. 8) Was informed that they had already sent me to collections and there was nothing they could do about it and didn't even try to make it right by offering to refund my membership or anything else. 9) Had to pay the full bill through a collection agency which has now affect my credit all due to their staff being incompetent.

Thank heavens! I found Streamline Physical Therapy. Ryan Spencer exemplifies everything a…read morephysical therapist should be: professional, sensitive, knowledgeable, encouraging . . . I could go on and on. This review is a little long but Ryan and Streamline deserve the praise. I have been to at least six other therapists over the last few decades. One was worse than the other. I have had therapists give me exercises and then walk off or chit chat with others rather than checking progress or form. I have been given exercises that were way to difficult given my condition at the time. I have been given exercises at other places for a problem and later learned that those exercises were ill chosen and would have no impact on my issue. I have even be kicked out of a physical therapy place in Tempe: after my third session, I was having terrible pain on my leg, the good leg, not the one I came to therapy for! I asked the therapist to check that I was doing things correctly. He watched once or twice, said I was doing it fine, and walked off. Two more sessions like this. At my fourth visit, I said I was still having pain. The therapist ended our sessions and said we needed to take a break. A break? Seriously!? Unlike these others, Ryan Spencer is hands on and a spectacular diagnostician. That gift of diagnosing correctly is crucial in physical therapy. And I am grateful that he has figured out my problem and has chosen the proper exercises, graduating them as I get rid of pain and helping me increase strength. But here is another example of his expertise. I was having a burning pain, a new pain for several weeks, on the top of my foot. (I was at Streamline for a different leg, different problem.) The burning pain became so horrific that I went to a podiatrist. He looked at my white hair and said that it was arthritis, said something about a window of 5 or six years for surgery (for what?) and was out the door. When I saw Ryan at my regular session, he asked how things were going and I told the story about the burning foot and the podiatrist. Ryan honed in and started asking questions. He "diagnosed" the problem and, with a couple of sessions, resolved the burning . . . obviously a pinched nerve. I have not had that problem since. Ryan listens and, with his expertise about the body, he is extremely effective in helping people heal. I love that he gives homework and is extremely patient in helping me learn the exercises. I love that he knows when to push and when to tell me that I am overdoing it. And, he does not coddle me or be dismissive of my goals because I am older. Two other things to frame my review of how great Ryan and Streamline are: first, my background includes teaching tai chi and qi gong as well as studying kung fu and I want to return to being able to practice without pain; second, I am kind of bitchy . . . in my eyes, it is not bitchy but expecting high quality. Streamline and Ryan embody that high quality. Brittany is at the front desk and she is wonderful. She makes the place feel like the Cheers of physical therapy. People here are real, positive, authentic, professional, caring (real caring . . . not pretend crap) but, above all, laser focused on the patient/client's success. Totally, totally recommend Streamline.
