Came for a getaway and met some amazing guests while I was at it! Food was amazing both adult and kids loved it. Bailey really knew his stuff and made dinner an even better experience.

Everything about our stay at Cibolo Creek Ranch was so cool. It felt more like staying at somebody's ranch as a house guest, only they're never home. The staff are great and the grounds are gorgeous. One of my favorite mornings was spent wandering a road that led me past some flowing creek beds and ruins from settlers of the area. Hands down the best thing we did here was staying a night at Fort Morita- it was a once in a lifetime experience and was really amazing to be that far from civilization. I definitely got into it and by the next morning felt like a little miniature Milton Faver myself. There's a ton of activities to do: my husband went out on an ATV while I hiked, we went horseback riding, shooting, and took a cool mountain tour where you could see the entire terrain of the area. Just to echo other reviews, ABSOLUTELY get the meal plan. The dinners are delicious and there's literally nowhere decent to eat within an hour radius anyways. I normally hate the idea of communal eating, and one of the nights I just wasn't up for it at all, but in general it was really nice to be forced to be social. We did have wine with our meals, but I'd recommend grabbing a bottle of whiskey for your own use... makes it easier to top off a drink without having to find somebody. I'd love to come back with a group of friends... Now I just have to make friends that will drop that much on a ranch getaway! lol

Our favorite getaway! Remote, peaceful and absolutely beautiful! Cibolo Creek Ranch is the best kept secret in Texas! We visit regularly and find it extremely difficult to leave this tranquil resort. Upon arrival you unplug from the hustle of the big city...you're surrounded by luxurious amenities and wonderful staff taking care of all that your heart desires. Spa services, horseback riding, humvee tours, on-site museums, fine dining, stargazing by the fire, and oh so much more are available to the guests of Cibolo Creek Ranch.

    Amazing place for relaxing

Absolutely everything is spot on about this place. It's gorgeous, the service is flawless and the grounds are beautiful. Get the meal plan. The food is incredible. They will accommodate just about any dietary needs. There are activities like horseback riding, site seeing and paddle boating. And of course there is plenty of relaxation to be had. Spend the money, it's well worth it. There is a very communal feeling here (group dining and no locks on the doors) which makes it even more relaxing.

This is an underwhelming spot. Save your time and money. Food is below average for this price point and service is same.

Our room was spacious and overlooked the pool. Hotel is extremely dog friendly! Reasonable room rates and comfortable bed. Parking onsite and street parking available. Pool looked lovely. Multiple areas to socialize and gather. Lots of history and cool art. We loved the onsite shopping/boutiques! Great for souvenirs and unique West Texas finds. We will always plan to stay here when we visit Marfa!

Accessibility and mobility concerns were a factor in our decision, and Hotel Paisano's website gave no indication that its elevator was out of service. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator was not working and would not be repaired during our stay. Every guest room requires climbing at least one flight of stairs, making this a significant issue for anyone with mobility limitations. What was most disappointing was not just the outage itself, but the fact that it was never disclosed before our arrival. We were also told at check-in that the restaurant was closed for renovations and no food service would be available. One of the reasons I selected this hotel was because the restaurant menu looked more appealing than those offered by other hotels in town. Again, this information was not communicated in advance. We were informed that the bar would remain open until 3 p.m. each day. However, when we visited around noon on Saturday, we were told we could not order drinks because the space was being reserved for a private party later that evening. That same party continued until 10 pm and the noise was loud enough to be clearly heard from our room. The party guests extended into the pool area. Event attendees were allowed to use the pool, and guests in formal attire were jumping into the water fully clothed. While that may have been entertaining for those attending the event, it created an atmosphere that felt more like a private venue rental than a hotel serving paying guests who were expecting a quiet and relaxing stay. The guests were also taking photos with a very bright flash camera. Every flash penetrated through both the sheer and formal sets of curtains in our room and made relaxing and sleeping impossible. Any one of these issues might have been manageable had they been disclosed before booking. Instead, guests were left to discover them only after arrival. I was particularly troubled by the apparent lack of concern regarding guests with mobility challenges. When a property has no practical access to guest rooms except by stairs due to an inoperable elevator, that information should be communicated prominently before a reservation is made so travelers can make informed decisions based on their needs. The hotel seems to rely heavily on its historic reputation and charm, but historic character should not come at the expense of transparency, accessibility, or guest service. The elevator outage, restaurant closure, restricted bar access, and late-night private event created an experience that felt far different from what was advertised.

Short - we will go back. Pleasant atmosphere, nice waitstaff, good food & cold beer. Hallelujah…read more Long - stopped in on a random Wednesday - - they were packed! It's always a good sign when the parking lot is full in the middle of the week. Got a seat inside and waited. Then waited some more. The hostess seated a 14-top and we decided that we would leave if their orders went in first. BUT finally - a waitress. Friendly, though obviously harried by the unexpected mid-week bonanza. Drinks & food order in!! Margarita for me, Dos Equis for him, chili con queso, spicy chicken sandwich as shared plates. $22 marg was ABSOLUTELY worth it. Queso was SO good, with hefty chips made just right. Spice in the chicken - yes please. Did we wait, yes. Did we mind, NO. BEST PART - the people watching was PRIME. We could've passed another round & been entertained until closing but folks were waiting for tables and i was just buzzed enough on the ONE marg. Looking forward to tomorrow when we try a burger & cheesecake.

As one…read moreof only a handful of larger restaurants in Marfa, we expected a much more welcoming experience, especially considering the prices geared toward tourists. Unfortunately, this establishment did not feel family friendly or kid friendly despite presenting itself that way. After waiting around 10 minutes just for someone in our party to grab menus, we were eventually served water and later had our orders taken. However, the overall attitude and repeated glares from the waitress/bartender, Gary Jean, made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Good service goes a long way, and basic kindness shouldn't feel like too much to ask. It became clear that receiving decent service was going to be more effort than it should have been, so we decided to leave before our food even arrived. To management: supporting your staff better may help improve the customer experience overall. A little hospitality can make a big difference.
