San Gimigiano
Sophie H.

Our tour guide Alex was great and so helpful and friendly. He recommended the best gelato spot I've ever had in San Gimignano. Siena was beautiful and I loved the art and architecture of the cathedral. The bus ride was very enjoyable and I usually hate riding on a bus. There were charging spots and curtains in case you want to sleep. The views of the Tuscan hill country was great and lunch at the winery was delicious. Luca (the driver) was amazing and stopped the bus for me when I accidentally left my phone at the end.

Picture my son took of meeting spot my son took while waiting, which I provided to them.

This company is terrible. They didn't show up at the designated place, lied about it, and then wouldn't refund my money. We had been scheduled for a river ride in Florence. Prior to the ride, I tried to WhatsApp them but they never responded. (Every other tour guide in Italy would contact me beforehand to confirm but they wouldn't even accept my WhatsApp invitation). Even so, my family went to the designated spot prior to the start time (where my son took a picture) and no one arrived. Around 7:02 (we were supposed to launch at 7:00), I called the company to inform them that no one was there. The Company confirmed with me that I was in the right spot and tried calling the guide. The guide did not answer. The Company continued calling for 15-20 minutes and still got no answer. I told them I was going to leave and needed a refund. They said they wanted to "figure out what happened". I wasn't sure what they needed to figure out- they simply stood us up - but I waited for them to get back to me. Then several days later, they did inexplicably tell me that there was a "misunderstanding" and would not refund our money. Yeah, a misunderstanding about the truth. These people are terrible, there are so many other tour guides in Italy- do not book with them.

Not sure how 1 transaction for $150 turned into multiple charges and left me owing over $450 to my credit card company!

BEWARE!: Check your cc statement after you book with this company! My wife and I went to Italy in September 2024. While in Milan we contacted this tour group and reserved 2 tickets for a walking tour for a total of $151.07. Within a few hours, we decided to cancel this tour (several days before the tour and well within the posted time allowed for a full refund). It took several days to receive an email response acknowledging that we canceled and almost a month to see reverse charges on our credit card statement. Where we reviewed our credit card statement we noticed this company charged our card multiple times for varying amounts leaving us with over $450 in fraudulent charges.

We had so much fun on our wine tour with Constantino. For such a cheap price, we got to try 10 different wines along with meats, bread, and cheeses. Constantino was so kind and very helpful with any questions we had. I would absolutely take this tour again when I am back in Italy!

We started early around 7AM, grabbing a bite to eat at the train station where we met up, before embarking on our adventures. Our first stop was at Pisa where we spent about an hour taking pictures of the leaning tower, as well as the Duomo cathedral. Next stop was the Cinque Terre, which we got to visit and see 3 out of 5 islands since 2 of them were closed off. The tour did not include lunch, but there was an option to prepay for our lunch or to venture on our own. We opted for the prepaid one since we knew we were limited on time, so that Mano could put in our order for us. Cinque Terre was breath-taking, and words could not sum up the feeling when you come there. It is crowded for sure, but take a moment to be still and look around you. All of the colorful houses were unique and quirky, which made for great background in photos. There is enough time to shop around for souvenirs, and eat gelato (omg, the best)! I only wished we booked lodging here so we could spend more time to explore, but until next time. This tour was amazing, and the group of people we were with were engaging and chill. We each did our own thing, and only met up at each designated spot when it came time. We ended the tour around 8PM, so it was well spent to say the least! Highly recommended!!

We were very pleased with the outcome of the private tour and was quite glad the company did not cancel our booking due to the small amount of people. The office itself was very easy to locate, just 5 minutes away from our hotel. Eduardo was our tour guide/driver and he did an excellent job providing useful information and answering all of our questions. The countryside of Tuscany/Chianti region is a beautiful place that is best reached by car. As we all know driving in Italy can be scary if you're a foreigner so we were glad we had Eduardo to drive us. Not only was Eduardo a wonderful tour guide and driver, he also was our photographer during the tour. This man is a jack of all trade! We visited 2 wineries on the tour. The owner of the first winery gave us a wonderful overview of how his winery works and we got to sample cheese, bread, and olive oil along with our wine tasting. The second winery we visited was a smaller, family-owned winery. Here we also got to sample olive oil with bread and wine. In the end we enjoyed both wineries so much my boyfriend and I ordered wines to be shipped back home to the U.S. After a few hours of wine tasting Eduardo drove us back to Florence. We had a nice chat along the way and learned a lot about Italy. If we had more time I would not hesitate to book with this company again. They offer many other great tours at a very reasonable price. Thanks again Italy on a Budget and Eduardo for a wonderful time! My last bit of advice to you is to be sure to have eaten prior to this tour as you will be tasting quite a bit of wine. Enjoy and have fun!

It was a Sunday in Italy and we were completely stuck with no transport. Thomas arrived in a lovely, air-conditioned van, helped us with our bags, and immediately went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible experience. As soon as we got in the car, he told us all about Montepulciano -- the best vineyards to visit, what prices to expect, and how to get around. We hadn't booked anything, but Thomas contacted his friends and organised everything for us. He even took us to our hotel, waited patiently while we checked in, and never rushed us. He then arranged a taxi to collect us after our vineyard tour and even negotiated the price for us -- something we never asked him to do! At the vineyard, he personally walked us in and introduced us to his friends. Thomas truly saved our day and turned what could have been a stressful experience into one of the highlights of our Italian trip. He was incredibly kind, patient, generous, and genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. If you have the option to book this service, do it! And if you get Thomas as your driver, you're incredibly lucky. Thank you so much, Thomas, for making our experience so special!

She also provided us interesting trivia about the Tuscany region, the manufacturing of olive oil, some local history, and even the scoop on Kanye & Kim's recent wedding. Lots of fun. The first half was mostly uphill, passing by some really magnificent scenery. We enjoyed some delicious wine & bruchetta at a local Villa, overlooking an incredible view that I'm sure the rich residents enjoy everyday. I did the half day Chianti Tour on my honeymoon and it was a highlight of the trip…read more We met our guide, Rebecca, at a very central location to gather with other participants. There were only 4 other people, which was awesome. The vehicle we took was very large, comfortable, and had fantastic AC. Rebecca did a great job of teaching us a few really cool things but also letting us bond as a group. She broke the ice and really got us all to become a family quickly. Our first winery was lovely. We learned about a few wines, walked around the vineyards, then Rebecca even got her camera out and did photoshoots with each couple! It was awesome! We culminated the visit with a fantastic tasting. The winemaker was very generous with pours and our table had a gorgeous view and incredible aesthetic. The bottles were super reasonably priced and we all got some, though there was no sales pressure. The second winery was part of an agriturisma, where we saw all kinds of animals and parts of the farm. We got a short tour, saw some wine in production, then were set up for a long and amazing lunch. We had 5 courses, tons of wines, and even got to eat with the winemaker and hear more about him. We were all so enthralled and it felt like we had all known each other for years. Both wineries were super accommodating with food for me since I am gluten free. I am confident that Rebecca made very sure to communicate this for me.
