My nails were pretty damaged and all uneven lengths, and Betina fixed them up so nicely. She started with filing my nails, cleaning up the textures and whatnot, and for the nails that needed some additional length, she put some polygel. Once that was dried, she continued to shape my nails. So much detail and precision! The major focus when it comes to Russian manicures and others is the cuticle aspect. A lot of time and precision is spent around this area of the nails- fine drilling tools, the cutting super precise, etc. Once nails were shaped and cuticles/nailbeds very cleaned, the hard gel process started. That was practically painted on the nails. Sounds so simple, but requires so much talent as it's not just a straight application, rather molding and painting on the same time to give it some apex/curvature. It looks so good! You do get to pick a hard gel base color. I chose the one called "latte" which is a shade of light pink, but a bit deeper. Once the hard gel is on and dried, you can finish then, or choose designs, gel polish, etc. I opted for a classic French tip design on the natural hard gel base. So elegant, so perfect. Betina also does chrome design/style and can advise which color hard gel base to start with to get the ideal chrome color/shine/finish. Was tempted to try that, but maybe another time. :) Definitely one of the longest manicures I've had, but it's sooooo good!! The hard gel is supposed to last a long time, so we shall see. Will def be back to get a fill or another full manicure in a month or 2, assuming these nails last me. Here's to stronger/steadier natural nails! Thanks so much, Betina. I cannot recommend Avital enough. Just LOOK at the photos!! I'm pretty new to getting my hair dyed, and I'd been struggling to find a stylist who could get me as blonde as I wanted. I never felt blonde enough. I came in for a super complicated color correction and was honestly nervous, but Rachel listened to my concern and told me, so confidently, that she could make it happen. And she DID. I walked in with nearly 6 inches of black regrowth, banding where my hair had been bleached, and bleached hair mixed with dyed hair. There was SO much going on. Other salons told me it would take 10+ hours and multiple sessions. Avital did my ENTIRE color correction in about 6 hours, all in one session, which is insane for the type of hair I came in with. The girls worked together so efficiently, and Rachel got me as blonde as I ever dreamed of. And the best part? Going from a very dark base to nearly a level 8-10 blonde, I expected my hair to feel dry and damaged. Instead it was SO soft! I truly think it's because Avital uses amazing, high quality products and genuinely cares about hair health as much as customer satisfaction. The last time I bleached my hair at another salon, it came out less blonde and felt damaged and brittle, and it took months of aggressive hair care to get it healthy again. This time, none of that! To save me time and money, Rachel brought in two other stylists, Mozghan and Kaylie, to help foil my hair. Together they did in 2 hours what would have taken one stylist 4+. All three were so attentive, detail oriented, and VERY efficient, and they stayed on the same page the entire time. Rachel is the sweetest. She was kind and reassuring the whole appointment, and such a fun person to talk to. She went above and beyond to make me comfortable. She kept offering me snacks and drinks! After foiling, she did my roots, toned, and blow dried my hair. She even fixed my bangs (which I had cut badly a few weeks earlier) for free, and they look AMAZING. I've wanted this color for over 4 years. Most places quoted me over a thousand dollars, and Avital gave me affordable, high quality work. At checkout, Rachel didn't charge me for the haircut, and out of the 2-3 extra hours on top of the base price, she only charged me for one. I was so touched! After one short conversation with Rachel, you can tell she is truly meant for this work. She loves hair so much that it doesn't even seem like it's about the money. She just wants people to smile and feel good about themselves, and I left doing exactly that. I am SO happy with my hair, and I'll be coming back as a regular!
