I was discouraged about my lab results based on my doctor's notes. After researching and finding Dr. Henderson's website online, I decided to contact her. I was able to get a virtual appointment quickly. Dr. Henderson reviewed my current lab numbers, reassuring me that my numbers were not near as bad as my doctor had led me to believe. To say it was a relief is an understatement. She had thoroughly prepared a plan for me that included diet changes, exercise suggestions, and supplement deletions and additions. She provided great information about simple things I could do to manage my CKD and even improve my kidney function. She made sure I knew things that could be a detriment to kidney function, and things that could help not only my kidney health, but hearth health as well. Then 1 hr before my appointment I called to get the address and confirm the location .upon my arrival to the building at 80 Phoenix Ave . They checked to see my temp and if I had a mask on then sent me into the dr. Office. Where I was then told that they are not doing in person visits. waste of my time driving all the way there. This health group really needs to get there services together. So unprofessional. However the only positive was the receptionist at the office for the gynecologists was super nice . Staywell uses Quest labs & the person that drew my blood is named Terriance (sorry if spelling is wrong). I need to tell anyone that has a hard time getting bloodwork done, you need to go here. He was the most personable, helpful, understanding, perfect person while also being very professional. he took his time, found the perfect spot. one time, 1 needle & only 1 band aid & all done so fast. He has really helped me to cope with my lupoid nephrosis and my mom has said that this guy saved her life. He is a very knowledgeable nephrologist and he is always readily available to his patients. Even when he is out of office, the phone number goes to an emergency medical service with a doctor on call. This is very helpful...especially with a spontaneous and unpredictable illness like lupus. I love Dr.Frank so much, that even when I was in school in Rochester, and now that I'm living in Harlem...I still make the trek out to Long Island to see him. The office is a little bit dated...But they've got good magazines and they play News 12...They're also pretty well located...right off of Sunrise Highway, so it's pretty easy to find. They also have their own parking lot. You know what else I love about this office? They usually always run on or really close to schedule...which is rare for ANYONE these days, let alone a doctor's office.
