After a response from my rheumatologist regarding an autoimmune disease that had affected my kidney, I decided to be more proactive about my health in order to avoid medications that had nasty side effects. Dr. Henderson and I had a video conference that went over every facet of diet, supplements, habits and exercise. I came away not only feeling motivated to try some of her solutions but also well armed with a thoroughly written 14 page document covering everything we discussed. She is no-nonsense and pragmatic but also does have a 'bedside manner' that was encouraging and relatable. She also has an easy to use online pharmacy that she tailors her recommendations for your specific situation. I checked prices and was actually very surprised that the pricing through the portal she provided were actually less expensive than trying to order on my own. I was diagnosed with CKD 7 months ago, and currently have an eGFR of 17%.
