My room was impeccably maintained and so comfortable, and the hotel does 2 room services a day. The breakfast was a tremendous array of delicious hot food, pastries, cheese, fruit, everything. The pot of fresh pressed coffee to the table was the best! The staff was friendly and helpful! You can't find a better hotel for visiting Normandy.

They got to know us in just a couple days and made every restaurant reservation for us. Just off the lobby is a small bar that is well stocked and managed by the front desk. Seating there is comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful and excellent. As for the rooms ... we could not believe how spacious, comfortable, quiet and pleasant in terms of temperature they were. The beds were also excellent and the bathrooms spacious. We were totally blown away by the quality. To top it all off, the location is perfect. Just a few blocks from the city center, and as a result many restaurants. We never had to walk more than 10 minutes any evening for our dinner reservations. And, even the Bayeux Tapestry is just a few minute walk. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about his hotel in any way. If you are visiting Bayeux, stay here.

The largest and most intricate gardens of any of the chateaus in the valley. Some of them are flowers and shrubs, others are fruit-bearing plants, but they're all beautiful. The interior of the chateau, don't get me wrong, is quite nice as well. Several rooms are intricately detailed, but the gardens are the big draw here. A nice touch, there are a couple boutiques where you can buy souvenirs, of course, but one of the boutiques is geared towards gardening, which is very on brand for this chateau. Also nice, you can buy seeds from the gardens for your home garden, very nice touch! If you're planning to travel here and have a home garden, look into your country's laws regarding bringing home seeds as that could be quite the nice souvenir.

Everyone had a place to stay, hang out, or get some space. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - making us feel at home. Their morning breakfast was top notch. The chapel, restaurants, cafe's, and sights are all within walking distance. This is a place that reminds you the history that permeates France with buildings that are hundreds of years old (but don't look shabby) and a friendly atmosphere. If you are planning on exploring Normandie you can base out of here and be within 1-2 hours of everything.

Much of Bayeux was walkable from here, and driving to the American and British beaches was very manageable. You can see the entrance to the museum with the Bayeux Tapestry from their front door. Restaurants we planned to taxi to were walkable. The facility is a several century old mansion, totally renovated by the architect owner who has done everything first class. Our room was huge, everything was new, and everything worked. The staff was outstanding in their efforts to accommodate a couple Americans. Breakfast equaled the facility - in a formal dining room setting and with an extensive selection. I would recommend Hotel Tardif Noble Guesthouse to anyone, whether they're five star hotel people or campers.

The Manoir has several rooms in the main house as well as several more in the "boat house". Its location is perfect to visit all of the northern coast sites and is easy to find. The staff is very efficient and quality oriented. Everything in and around the Manoir is clean and well kept. On several occasions I have asked for restaurant recommendations and every time we have been very impressed with the food. I can say that Jacques and Alix are always prepared to provide recommendations for a day trip, all of the details and even make reservations for you if recquired. Just minutes to the town of Bayeux (and the famous Tapestry) or all of the Normandy WW2 sites/Museums/Cemeteries. Easy Drive to Mont St. Michael and the beautiful coast of norther France. Just ask Jacques and he will gladly be your tour designer, answering questions, providing historical context, providing maps, making great suggestions, etc. If you are a Band of Brothers fan, you are very close to all the key areas of the 101st airborne activities from D-Day (episodes 2 and 3). Carentan and Brecourt Manor are just a short drive away. There is also a number of monuments and museums that honor those great men. If you are a fan of Saving Private Ryan then you have all of the cities and sights all within easy reach. The opening and closing scene were shot in the American cemetery in Coleville. An absolute must see. I cannot say enough about how much we love staying at this B&B. I do not think you can find a better combination of location, quality and people anywhere in France. This is a must stay if you are headed north of Paris.

They simply wanted to sit down and quickly eat the pizzas they had brought for dinner. Also, theres no one even at the hotel which makes its more ridiculous. Instead of even a hint of hospitality, the front desk staff was shockingly rude. We were abruptly told that we could not eat in any public area of the hotel; not even quietly and respectfully. When we politely asked if we could at least have some napkins, and bring the food upstairs the staff member told us we would have to pay for them. He spoke down to us the entire time, made us feel unwelcome, and ultimately treated our students as though they were a burden rather than guests. For many of these students, this is their very first time in France. What should have been a warm and memorable welcome turned into an embarrassing and unprofessional encounter. No hotel especially one that claims to be accommodating should treat guests this way. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would strongly advise school groups or large parties to look elsewhere for lodging. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish. If I could rate it a 0 I would.

There's even an outdoor pool area and small outdoor field. Came with low expectations given the last review, but everything seems quite in order and since renovated.
