The beds were also excellent and the bathrooms spacious. We were totally blown away by the quality. To top it all off, the location is perfect. Just a few blocks from the city center, and as a result many restaurants. We never had to walk more than 10 minutes any evening for our dinner reservations. And, even the Bayeux Tapestry is just a few minute walk. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about his hotel in any way. If you are visiting Bayeux, stay here.

But the beds are comfortable, shower has great water pressure, and the staff is extremely friendly. Location is great as you can walk around town easily. We loved another day spent exploring the wonderful historical town of Bayeaux and its beautiful Cathedrel Notre Dame. We stayed in a spacious, modern, and comfortable room in the building that was once most likely a carriage house. A stream was right outside our door, and lovely flowers and trees dotted the property. We had an outdoor seating area in the back overlooking the tennis courts, and there was seating in spots around the property. Dinner was served in the main cheateu and was one of the best meals we ate in all of France. The desserts were like works of art and tasted absolutely amazing. Meals are charged to the room and paid for at check out which is so convenient. Service was fantastic and accomodating, and staff cheerfully arranged a taxi service for us a few times. Off the beaten path but within walking distance to train station. I would highly recommend if you are looking for peace, quiet, and the beauty of nature.

It was fine. They contract with a guy named Roman for the D-Day tours. His prices were 69 Euros per adult, and you're at the D-Day sites for over 5 hours. Roman is very knowledgable. The Hotel is located right next to the station, it's a 10 minute walk to downtown Bayeaux.

The "sidewalk" leading to the hotel alternates between legitimate sidewalk and a makeshift patch of gravel (that often turns to mud during inclement weather), and dodging the cars of France's highways can be a little frantic. Once you make it to the hotel, however, all is good, as the place is completely secluded in the middle of a field. I didn't hear a peep from anyone I didn't want to during the four nights I was here. The window even has that strange shutter for nighttime darkness, so unique to the French. I would definitely stay here again, but wouldn't recommend this place for the elderly or lazy--you have to be willing to walk to the train station and city, which isn't much to ask of a New Yorker, but for others, it may be a bit much.

We booked via booking.com! We arrived really late at night around 11:30pm, tried to check in but they couldn't find our reservation. After waiting 20+ min for the attendant & mgmt to figure things out, we were given a room at the next door Hotel de Luxemborg. Apparently Brunville & Luxemborg are sister hotels, managed by the same folks. There was free wi-fi in our room, amenities were normal, can't complain too much since it's just a place to sleep prior to the next morning when we had to get up for our tour in Normandy. Room was very warm, open the windows for air! :)
