We have ordered take out probably 5-6 times and without fail they have messed up our order every single time. Ordered curbside. Sat in the spot waiting for the food to come out for 54 minutes. After calling the restaurant at the 32 minute mark, we were told the wait would be 5 more minutes because they ran out of tortillas for the quesadillas we ordered. I questioned how all the other cars around us were getting orders out, and I was told they all ordered salads. 22 minutes later, they strolled out with semi-warm quesadillas and the remainder of the order was cold. We really try to like Chuys. We have been dining at the various Austin locations for years. When the San Marcos one opened we were thrilled. The food is the same great quality as the Austin locations. Lately myself and my wife had been going to the bar on a Friday afternoon and having a beer/margarita and some queso and chips. Just unwind after a long week. We really enjoyed it. No more. The last time was mid November 2024, and the service was terrible in the bar area. Not blaming the wait-staff, but they only had one waitress in the bar and she couldn't handle the work load. Too many customers for just her. We waited 25 minutes before we were asked what we wanted. Another 15 for our drinks to come. Again the waitress wasn't lazy, she was getting after it. Just too much. And don't blame the damn Pandemic! That's over. The margaritas were a mistake because they were the worst I have had at this store.
