Came here to get some much needed breakfast after a night of drinking, and it did not disappoint. We were a big party and they were easy to accommodate us. The server, Gael, was very quick and attentive. Constantly checking in to see if we were good. Overall the serving size was big enough, and may even be shareable. The chips and salsa were also delicious, just take it easy on the sauce as it does have a small kick to it if you're not fond of spices. My only issue is that the bathroom wasn't all that clean, but that's something which could easily be cleaned up. Didn't take away from the food and the service. read more

I've never been a big fan of El Napolito. Their drive through has gotten much faster and employees are friendly. Went inside a few times and service was a little slow, the floor is uneven so for senior citizens or anyone else with mobility problems be careful . You can't ruin a breakfast taco so I usually use the restaurant as a taco run as my daughter likes them. read more

Food was good. Ordered a carne guisada taco, a machacado taco, and a cheese enchilada plate. The carne guisada taco really had no meat in it. It only had gravy. The melted cheese was awesome. Not sure on rating yet young girl with altitude problem was waitress be lucky if she gets a tip at all I was gonna give two stars but wife said one. Wife tried to use bathroom was not a seat on toilet it's hover toilet I suppose. Food was okay hot sauce is too hot for women and children the puffy tacos are chalupas didn't even get all the food at same time had to wait 15 minutes for mine. Waitress had some sort of an attitude problem couldn't smile and was in a hurry she gave menus came back thirty seconds later with water and spit out are y'all ready yet with the sighs of a attitud on a teenager. Me and the old lady were in town to foot the river and hit up a concert at Whitewater. First off...I'm kind of shocked for how low their rating is here. This place is a solid choice for a breakfast taco. We thought so highly of it, that we actually stopped here two mornings in a row! I can only speak on the tacos I had, but the bacon/egg/cheese, al pastor, and chicarron are all good choices here. I tried the chorizo and I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but the other three were very good. I liked both of their salsas too...and I'm usually not a red sauce fan! This place was packed with people eating inside, picking up to go orders, and going through the drive through line. It was quite the welcomed addition for my river float hangover cure, and I think very deserving of the four star rating. read more

The rice was really light almost white so didn't have much flavor, the beans tasted over cooked like kinda burnt. And then the meat.... I got the crispy taco plate and this meat is just questionable as it's pink and extremely greasy. On top of that they used salad mix for the lettuce on my taco which included purple cabbage? I always love getting breakfast tacos here, no matter what time of the day it is. My go-to is a taco with beans, potatoes, cheese, and sour cream. Bf always gets potato egg and cheese. The complimentary chips and salsa are great too, but we always pour some salt on the chips because they're a tad bland on their own. This location is really homey and quaint, too; I find that it's usually less busy than the one on 306, aka El Nop #3. I believe they have different hours, too; if I'm not mistaken, this location is open later during the day and El Nop #3 on 306 is open from 5:30am-3:30pm or something like that. We ordered the super tacos with are advertised as 4.99 on their drive thru menu. 5.99 if you get a "specialty meat" I ordered 5 super tacos of a specialty meat with beans and cheese. 39 cents extra for beans and 39 cents extra for cheese for each taco. Lady at the window charged my card $49. I questioned her and she said each taco was $6.99. I could have pointed out that 6.99 doesn't reflect the price advertised on the menu, but I didn't. I did the math in my head and it still wasn't right. I asked her for an itemized receipt and sure enough she was charging me more than she should have. Almost 50$ for 5 tacos? I should have been charged $42.16 if the tacos were really 6.99 each. $36.74 if I would have been charged the price on the drive thru menu. I was so annoyed. Never again. read more

My husband and I went to El Napolito for Lunch today . I got the tortilla soup. It tasted great. I couldnt eat it all, so I decided to bring the rest back home to eat for dinner. I just poured it out of their container into one of our bowls, and reheated it. I had taken a couple bites, and on my spoon, about to take another bite, there laid A ROACH! First time trying a lengua (tongue) taco. Ranchero sauce is killer. Salsa is real spicy. What brought me to this place in Mexican cuisine experimenting? I saw a food episode one day showcasing Tijuana street foods. They were selling Tostilocos, a snack you have to see and taste to believe. This took me to the Mexican grocery stores for the first time looking for the ingredients. Basically it is a Mexican frito pie. Open a bag (place the slit along the length of the bag, not the top, which makes a bowl) of spicy, lime-flavored Tostitos corn chips. Then add Cacahuates (Japanese peanuts), pepino (diced cucumbers), jicama, tamarind pulp or candy, Valentina hot sauce, chamoy salsa, Tajin fruit seasoning salt, the juice of two large limes, Clamato clam vegetable juice, and pickled pork skins called cueritos. Nope, I don't think so, too barnyardy. Then, I tried barbacoa and I love it. They don't really boil the head of a calf anymore; they pretty much use beef cheeks, which come prepackaged. So, at most authentic Mexican taco joints around here you can order tongue (lengua), head (cabesa), tripe (stomach lining), and barbacoa (beef cheeks and parts of head). This brought me to Nopalitos today because for some reason--today was the day for the tongue. The lengua was cubed and stewed for hours, and then a dark ranchero sauce was poured over it or it was simmered in that sauce. That sauce was rich, tangy, and seasoned with Mexican oregano, and I could taste hints of garlic and chiles. The texture was the deal breaker for me. It sort of looked and tore like steak, but it was neither firm nor soft; it had a spongy feel to it, almost like sautéed liver. But, even sautéed liver can get firm. This didn't. I really can't compare that texture to anything I have eaten. If it were shredded and not in cube form, it probably would have been a different experience. I asked what kind of sausage they meant on their menu and she said something I couldn't understand then country sausage, so I went with that. I ordered one of each breakfast taco: bean & cheese, chorizo & egg, sausage & egg. They are 1.49 each for 2 ingredient tacos which should have been 4.47 plus tax, but somehow my total was 6.03..... i didn't ask, was given no receipt. Anyways, the service was friendly and quick. The tortillas were on the thick side, and a bit overwhelming in each taco. The bean and cheese was a bit runny and rolled more like a taqito/flauta, too much tortilla compared to bean/cheese ratio. The chorizo and egg had a good amount of filling and decent taste. The country sausage, was actually jalapeno, which was too spicy for me, I couldn't even eat it, so I gave it to my dog. The eggs on that taco were over scrambled/cooked and a bit burnt. Still it had a decent amount of filling. Overall, it was okay, but not my first choice for breakfast tacos. This place has changed since last time I was here, which was in 2016. Now, in 2018, the food is not as good as it used to be. The potatoes were dry, the retried beans tasted good but were dry, the tortillas were cold, flat and stiff. They were not fluffy and warm at all. The bacon was good, the ranchero sauce is good, the eggs were good but the edges were cooked to fast. The coffee was good and hot but they use sugar packets, which sucks if you like your coffee sweet. So much paper waste. They need the sugar canisters, just saying. I have driven by Nopaltio's about a few dozen times now. I finally decided to eat here for lunch and.... Wow! It was pretty good, at the moment, my favorite place to get cheese enchiladas. I've been looking for great enchiladas for a few months, and they are excellent. Enchiladas, rice and beans are the daily special for Friday. The rice and beans were great, a good compliments to the enchiladas. The special is reasonably price for the plate. The salsa was very good, with the right amount of heat to it. The number of times I've had problems here greatly outnumber the decent times at this establishment. The first time ever I actually dined inside, the salsa was spoiled and the waitress kept insisting that she had made it fresh herself that day, not even recognizing that it smelled strange and tingled our tongues; not in a spicy way, but like when you eat pop rocks. My other bad experiences have been at the drive through. They have messed up my order multiple times. If they just simply mark each taco as what it is, maybe it would be more organized and my orders wouldn't always be missing something or have an extra taco or two that I didn't even order. The most recent time they've messed up my order, I was missing 4 tacos and I had an extra taco that I did not order. My boyfriend and I came back with the written down order we gave them and told them which tacos we didn't receive. They then took our bag of tacos to the back and at least 2 workers, with the assistance of the manager, began opening up the foil and tacos to see which tacos we actually got. My boyfriend didn't like the fact that 3 sets of hands were dissecting our tacos and asked for a refund because we didn't want to deal with the sanitation issue. The manager lied to our face that only one person was opening the tacos, but we literally stood there looking into the kitchen and saw 2 workers and the manager opening up tacos.
