Not a fan of chains but Chuy's is actually one of my favorite Tex-Mex places. Great selection of different sauces for your burrito, enchiladas, etc. Ate here for lunch & ordered the taco salad without the fried tortilla bowl, add sour cream & jalapeño ranch dressing on the side. This is a great low carb option. Their salsa is yummy (tastes fresh) & the chips are thin & crunchy. You can see a person hand making the tortillas. Our server kept our drinks full & checked on us just the right amount of times. While I really like authentic Mexican food, I'll come to Chuy's for the American-Mexican kind. read more

Shrinkflation! Wow the margaritas have gotten small!!!! A margarita in a 10oz cup, Maybe 8oz of margarita for $7.25 What a rip off!!!! Compare that to any other local Mexican place around NWA.... Crazy small here! My son requested a larger size on the second one, and cup was only slightly larger for $11.25 We ordered the double fajitas for $32. Got only 5 tortillas total, so we just ate the rest with a fork. Food was good overall, but it'll be a rare visit in the future since we enjoy margaritas when we eat Mexican food. We were able to sit in a booth at the bar so we missed the weekend crowd. Anna Beth (AB) was our server, did an AMAZING job! Best service by far since we moved here. I ordered the blackberry blended margarita, which was strong, guacamole, which was a tad too salty, and the taco salad with the creamy jalapeño dressing. One of many casual texmex restaurants around, but this one is somewhat better. I like the thin chips and salsa, which is slightly hot. They also have a ranch like dip that's pretty good. The menu offers a lot of choices, but not too many that you're overwhelmed. I've found their food is consistently good, and I've now tried many different dishes. Host didn't look happy to be there. Didn't greet us when we walked in. The Host that sat us gave dirty looks when we walked in and while seating us. Customer service with the server wasn't good. WOW! This place is legit! We received a warm greeting and were promptly seated. Don't order an appetizer...you can thank me after your meal. The complimentary chips and salsa rock! Just when we thought we had run out of superlatives for the flavorful salsa, our server Bethany said, "Try this out!" and set down a bowl of creamy jalapeño sauce. oh my...OH! MY! From that point on, we didn't even touch the aforementioned flavorful salsa. The jalapeño sauce is derived from buttermilk, mayo, jalapeños, green chiles and cilantro. Layers of flavor and a soft heat lay poised to play a symphony on your taste buds. There are 5 fantastic sauces to choose from to order with your meal. We had the sirloin "bigger than yo face" burrito (with green chile sauce) and the chicken enchiladas and Baja fish tacos with the deluxe tomatillo sauce. The fish tacos were superb! Battered perfectly, they were crispy and flaky all at once. The enchiladas were outstanding as well. The deluxe tomatillo sauce complimented both dishes perfectly. If you want more heat, go with the hatch green chili sauce. Great flavor and lots of heat, this sauce is served heated in its bowl. The sirloin burrito was huge and delicious! Their guacamole is made fresh daily in house. They get their green chilis straight from New Mexico...the mothership for chilis. Rumor has it that their green chile recipe was "borrowed" from a little dive in NM. Every item on their menu is made fresh...even the kids Mac n cheese and chicken strips are made fresh in site. NOTHING is frozen, and it shows! Portions are generous. It's a helpless feeling when you're staring down at awesome food and there's just no room left in the inn! I highly recommend Chuy's. Chuy's is an amazing restaurant. Sister had been talking non stop about the place so we had to go in and try it. Prices were amazing! Food was served in big portions and was delicious. The service was spectacular and the manager was amazing and kind to us. The place on the inside was a little bit loud but not terribly. The place was freezing cold though so wear a jacket. I have suffered through 3 visits to Chuy's. I wouldn't have gone back after the first time because the food was so bad, but went a second and third time because I was part of a group that wanted to go there. After 3 terrible meals I will definitely never go back. The food has no taste. The salsa does not either - it only tastes spicy, if that makes sense. I know it's a chain, but even almost all chains serve something that tastes good. I honestly don't think that's the case at Chuy's. It blows my mind why people like this restaurant. Went here today. The service was amazing, our server was so kind and quick. Food was great ( I ordered the chicken chuychanga) and the frozen strawberry margarita was awesome. There was a lot of food left over so I brought it home for later. After warming, I found a chicken bone (nearly breaking my tooth) in the remaining chimichanga. I was with a large party of 12, and we made the mistake of leaving too late for dinner on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We called from the parking lot about 10 minutes before closing, and although I'm sure no one was thrilled about it, the staff at Chuys graciously welcomed us in. Our waiter, Josh, was the MVP of the weekend. He was kind, quick, and didn't let us feel bad about keeping him late. This is my go to Tex-Mex restaurant in NWA. I really enjoy the queso, chips, and salsa. When I'm feeling like I have some extra money to blow, I order the Chile con queso. My usual order includes the chicken enchilada with creamy jalapeño sauce. Always get the creamy jalapeño sauce, it's awesome. Their flan and tres leches cake are also winners. read more

Because the service received from each of them are not one in the same so I will make the disclaimer that this scoring is indicative of the service I received from management. I called yesterday to inquire about making a reservation. I knew I was going to get a song and dance when the host said you'll need to speak to my manager. Conversation went like this: Me: hi I was calling to see if you take reservations for a 6 top for 6pm Mgr: yes we do but if you are coming to the concert tonight we recommend you getting here about 430 because we get loaded around 530. If it was not on a concert night and we were less busy we would take a reservation. But we can't hold a table for you and keep it open when people are lining up waiting for a table Me: so the short answer is no you don't take reservations Mgr: yes we do just not when we are busy Me: dumbfounded at his response. Um is a reservation used to secure a table because we know you are going to be busy?!!! So we decided to get there by 515 to ensure we got a table by 6 pm. Now the service we received from our waiter Chad was on point. We sat outside and it was hot and he was running all around. He was always making sure our drinks and chips were overflowing and very cheerful even thought he was hustling and working several tables with no less than 4 ppl at them. I had the bigger than our face burrito. Which it wasn't. It had so much cheese and beans that it drowned out the steak that was supposed to be in there. It was ok but have had better. It was clear that the manager did not properly anticipate the volume due to the concert. It would have behooved him to call the Amp to inquire if it was sold out - which it was. So glad to have another Tex-Mex option in NW AR. Chuy's has a great reputation as a consistent offering of some pretty fresh tasting food. I like the bar ambiance and that they keep the "car" stocked for chips, salsa, and queso for you to self-serve, and offer a limited menu there in the bar (at least in peak hours) to keep things moving quickly in there. The menu has all the normal offerings, and lots of combos to choose from. The sauces for all are homemade and very tasty. My last visit was hatch chili week, and some of those sauces were incredible - the divine enchiladas were truly divine! Tortillas are homemade up front, so that contributes to the overall quality of so many things. This gives them one leg up on Abuelo's, but I like Abuelo's variety of salsas, so I'll call the Chuy's and Abuelo's race a tie at this point. read more

Me and my wife come here probably once a week and have been for over 3 years we almost always get the same thing the chicken or steak fajitas since the whole coronavirus thing happened we decided to order takeout we ordered the same thing that we always order it ended up costing over five dollars more than it normally does when we got home it didn't have any rice with the order but instead double beans which they did not tell us I will remember the places that did not treat us the same as before and this is one of... OK so we have been back about 10 times since my last review and it keeps getting better no longer stingy with the the chips and salsa not sure what happened there for a little bit but everything seems to be great again read more

The food is good, I like their salsa. BUT be careful here if you have food allergies. I called ahead to ask questions. Then later told waitress it's important kitchen knows I cannot have dairy. Later Both sour cream and cheese on the plate. I removed what I saw but still got a couple bits of cheese. Hidden white cheese in white corn tortilla. Esophagus got uncomfortable with swelling . 2 hrs later couldn't get water down. Got hives later that night. Gastro issues through the next day or two. Food allergies can be very serious. Rogers AR. Good good. I'll be back if I can be certain I'm not getting dairy in corn based products. And no gluten within reason in my plate. read more

He even brought samples of sauces so we could decide on topping. I had the macho burrito and I have to say the pulled pork inside was amazingly tender. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. My husband was less than thrilled with his steak burrito. The steak was chewy. I do like the chips, they are thin and crispy but do break if what you are dipping is heavy. We didn't have drinks so I cannot comment on that.
