    Served warm and fresh!
    Duri H.

Warm, crispy, sugary and fresh! Definitely try one if you have a sweet tooth like me :) I split one churro ($2.50) with a friend and we both really enjoyed it. It was served warm and tasted fresh. It did not leave that weird gross greasy aftertaste in my mouth that sometimes churros leave. They also serve sauces for an additional charge, but the churro didn't need it... would have been too sweet. There was a cash only sign at their window (heads up), & luckily my friend had some actual paper money. The lady at the counter was really pleasant. Great treat if you're walking along the pier.

BEST CHURROS EVER!!! Stumped upon this place and so glad we got it. 3 for $6 I believe. So cheap and so good!! It's crispy and soft at the same time. I am definitely a fan

I'm bringing down the rating here but I just was not impressed. $2.50 a churro or 3 for $6 is outrageous, I usually pay just over a buck and think that is more than enough. That and they were not fresh, he had a pile laying there ready to give out. Sure it was warm, but only from the heatlamp. I like them more crunchy, less doughey, it was good but not great, felt more like a boardwalk rip off. Glad I tried it, but not worth getting again. Honestly the 3 for $1 at jack n the Box are better than here.

One of my favorite churros in the South Bay! First, it's CASH ONLY ( there's two ATM machines near by - one is BOA!!) Second, i really like it! ***One churro = $2.50 ***THREE CHURRO = $6.00 !! ($1.50 discount) They also have dipping sauce - caramel and strawberry. I can honestly eat 1 and a half churro!! It's surprisingly filling!!

This is a nice little spot on the pier. For some reason, it's really hard to get just humbly great tasting churros. Everything is either super manufactured or super overpriced. We're glad we found this spot. There's a similar shop in orange county called The Loop, and it's basically terrible lol. Well obviously this establishment does not have an interior or does not aim to be a trendy spot at Instagram, it has something that most dessert places lack, actually good food. The churros are really dense and incredibly tasteful. While the ice cream is just normal, it pairs well with the homemade churros. It was a great experience overall. At least I know where to get great churros now.

So fresh, delicious, and absolutely scrumptious. Best churro I've ever had!

Churros! Churros!! Churros!!! Eating a churro makes me feel like I'm on vacation, at Disneyland, or just finished a Polish Dog at Costco. Churros are little crispy amigos that always seem to make me happy. Finding this small Pier Bakery Churros storefront facing the marina on the murky Redondo Beach International Boardwalk was a welcome and irresistible reunion with an old friend. The best churros are fresh & golden brown with a light dusting of cinnamon and sugar while being crunchy on the outside and soft & warm in the middle. The Pier Bakery version are advertised as "homemade" and they might be, but they weren't the freshest. Four of us split three pretty average churros. They're cheaper than Disney (like everything in life), but twice as much as a re-heated Costco churro. - $2.50 per Churro or 3 for $6 - Caramel or Strawberry Dip for $0.50 - Cotton Candy for $2.25 Churros from Pier Bakery were an average, but pleasant discovery while trolling along the waterfront. They aren't a reason to go the Redondo Beach Pier, but an option if you are already there and in the mood for a sweet snack or dessert.

Never go wrong with fresh homemade churros 3 for $6 bucks. My colleague, she is fresh out of college, from oversea and doing her internship in States. She never been in Redondo Beach, so I brought her here to explore. After walking around the beach, bars, looking at peaceful horizontal ocean line, we got hungry. We stopped at this place and had churros before having a dinner. Wonderful. If you are by this place, please try it.

    Delicious churros!

Churros are one of my all-time favorite desserts! We had just finished a late lunch and were walking around the pier stuffed and ready for a beach bike ride, but as soon as we stumbled in front of this joint, my eyes completely lit up and I just had to get my sugary cinnamon fix on. They serve the churros wrapped up in a kind of parchment paper, so it keeps nice and warm all around. It was wonderfully chewy on the inside and crunchy and sweet on the outside. Although they only sell the original style churros, as oppose to the stuffed kind, I savored every bite of this deliciously sweet treat! Definitely 5 stars for this churro lover! ;)

I LOVE this place. These churros here are The Bomb! (Who says that anymore? Lol.) No, for real! These churros with no filling are a perfect dessert EACH and EVERY time you stop by Redondo Beach Pier! They're warm, toasty, sugary, deliciousness in a stick! PERFECT everytime. Can't you tell I'm hooked? Each and every family member & friend I bring to the pier has tried them and wants me to ship them out to them when they leave. Not kidding. The two employees I've encountered (since I'm always there).. are super sweet and kind latinos who have a smile on their face all the time. Making it just a wonderful experience overall! Oh, make sure you take cash because it is Cash Only! :D go!

I think these breads and pastries are nice, but what brings the fifth star is when they use their breads for sandwiches. My wife ordered a blanco toast, which had ricotta, avocado, and a bunch more flavor bombs over freshly baked sourdough toast. I highly recommend their 'works" bagel sandwich. I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. I know that I have to come back for those!

But if I was in the area, I'd say this was a solid choice if you were looking for a bagel. They also had a lot of different types of pastries -- I noticed a lot people ordering those. We tried their butter croissant and croissant cinnamon roll. The croissant was okay, not the best. The cinnamon roll was tasty, I liked it better than a regular cinnamon roll. We came mainly to try The Works bagel (bagels are served only until 10:30a). I liked that all the other toppings (heirloom tomato, cucumber, onion, dill) helped to balance out the saltiness of the cured salmon. The salmon was so-so though, not really the star. I surprisingly really enjoyed the heirloom tomato, so I'd get probably skip the cured salmon next time and just do the Heirloom Bagel. I also tried their Matcha Einspanner, which was kind of watery. I'd pass on their drinks.

It was difficult to decide, but I finally decided and ordered an avocado toast and small latte. Because there was only one other person there, the lady behind the counter said she would find me, which she did. She delivered my drink first. Afterwards, she personally delivered my avocado toast with a side salad, served on a wooden chopping block. It all looked good. Well presented. From the first bite of my avocado toast, it was delicious because of the freshly baked bread. A nice, thick dark bread. It was piled on with freshly chopped avocados that kept falling off the bread, topped with pickled radish, tomatoes, and pine nuts. Parking: There's plenty of free, shared lot parking in the back.

LFB has a very small store front in a relatively small strip mall and is off the Main Street and so not too visible, but not hard to find with a map app. The service people were reasonably friendly, but we felt a bit rushed going through their line. There is limited seating outside (only two tables outside apparently shared with other near by businesses) and barely enough room for the line inside with no indoor seating. So plan to get your food and eat it while you walk on the beach, in your car, or at any near by scenic overlook point. We got four items: mushroom pastry, chicken jalapeño pastry, beef curry pastry, and chicken croquette. We liked all of them. The chicken jalapeño pastry had good flavor but was not super hot--others will not think it is not hot enough. The mushroom pastry is literally covered and heaped with mushrooms, so make sure u like mushrooms if u try it. The chicken croquette was very "potatoy" but seemed to have decent amount of chicken. The beef curry pastry absolutely had the best flavor, but it was super greasy. Make sure to check their menu online for the most recent offerings before you go so that you do not slow down their line or feel rushed and definitely give these guys a try if in the area.

DineLA Food & Drink Order ($15): Breakfast Plate: Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (sunny-side up) $15.95 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.95 Server/Bartender: Andrew I have been a long time fan of Kirari West Bake Shop when it opened with much fanfare as a 100% gluten-free Japanese bakery with treats that defy the common undesirable traits of gluten-free goods: dense, dry, &/or gritty. When Kirari West Bake Shop (refer to Review #290) opened sister bakery, Confections by Kirari West, a couple of years ago, I bookmarked them for a visit but didn't get around to it until I saw them on 2026 DineLA. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie.

This Korean chain for pastries has been a solid save of mine to visit. Unfortunately it did not…read morelive up to the hype this visit. My first mistake was coming later in the afternoon. They close at 8:30 and I came in 2 hours before. The pastries leftover were scooched over and the labels did not match entirely what they were. It was difficult to know what I was picking up onto the tray. There was also a small fruit fly or gnat flying around inside the bakery case as well. The icing of the orange donut thing also got stuck to the box and we had to scrape it off... Out of 4 pastries none of them were really that good, it really made me not want to come back. I also ordered a plain iced coffee and the coffee quality is not good at all. Tastes like it was made from a Mr coffee machine at home. Service was friendly. She explained each pastry when we asked what we picked up. Small location inside the market. Parking in the plaza. Restrooms are located within the building.
