The woman who has really bad breath here is very rude. I've come across her years ago and stopped going because of a bad experience last time. She mocked me last time and made fun of me in front of my partner. She had a condescending and sarcastic tone and mocked me as if she was making fun of me. I decided to give it another shot. It's the same person running the register and serving the food. She's very intimidating and offensive. She talks like she's smarter than you or that you are dumb. Pointing at the menu arrogantly and sarcastically. We had questions regarding allergy issues. Same as what we asked years ago and her response is the same way. Very smart-aleck remarks. Not sure if this person is the owner but she needs to check her attitude outside the door. No wonder no customer is coming here. $8+ for plain vanilla and one hard old churro. Never coming back. Final and last straw. read more

How have I lived here for all these years, walked by this place a hundred times and did not know about this amazing churro?!? What blows my mind about this is that I'm constantly looking for good vegan treats, and these are vegan! I admit I am pretty picky about good food, and I rarely ever just walk up to a random place without doing my research, but I did today. I was curious to see if the churros contained dairy or eggs, assuming they did... I didn't even want to ask because a lot places don't even know what ingredients are in the food they sell and then I feel bad. But omg, this man was a delight to talk to! He explained how he makes the dough himself and it is completely vegan. I had to try one, and it was amazing! Very crispy on the outside and sooo moist and soft on the inside. Definitely one of the best churros I've ever had, and we will be getting these again next time! read more

This may sound over the top, but it's true: these churros will change your life. Those Instagram-worthy, trendy churros have literally nothing, absolutely nothing, on this churro. And those churros you had in Spain will probably just be aight in comparison. One bite is a cinnamon-sugar heaven. Chewy on inside with a crisp on the outside. They fry them in small batches so your churro is always fresh and warm. I've been going there for years. I can't leave the pier without getting these churros. This place is a local establishment. As businesses on the pier have come and gone, the churro bakery remains constant. And for good reason, it's simply delicious. read more

Warm, crispy, sugary and fresh! Definitely try one if you have a sweet tooth like me :) I split one churro ($2.50) with a friend and we both really enjoyed it. It was served warm and tasted fresh. It did not leave that weird gross greasy aftertaste in my mouth that sometimes churros leave. They also serve sauces for an additional charge, but the churro didn't need it... would have been too sweet. There was a cash only sign at their window (heads up), & luckily my friend had some actual paper money. The lady at the counter was really pleasant. Great treat if you're walking along the pier. read more

Churros-Pier Bakery - BEST CHURROS EVER - Bakeries Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

Wow, I never thought I'd every try a churro that was even close to being as good as Disneyland's...BUT THESE ARE BETTER. Yup, I said it. These churros are better than Disneyland's. Not only do they taste better, but they look better too. I don't think I ever realized how pale Disneyland churros were until coming here lol. The texture is absolutely perfect - crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. Their dipping sauces were also really good! We tried the strawberry dip and that, plus the fresh, warm churro was the perfect combo. I rarely ever visit Redondo Beach, but now this will always be a must-get whenever I'm there. I was too full from lunch, but next time I hope I get to try their soft serve! P.S. Cash only! read more

I'm bringing down the rating here but I just was not impressed. $2.50 a churro or 3 for $6 is outrageous, I usually pay just over a buck and think that is more than enough. That and they were not fresh, he had a pile laying there ready to give out. Sure it was warm, but only from the heatlamp. I like them more crunchy, less doughey, it was good but not great, felt more like a boardwalk rip off. Glad I tried it, but not worth getting again. Honestly the 3 for $1 at jack n the Box are better than here. read more

This is a nice little spot on the pier. For some reason, it's really hard to get just humbly great tasting churros. Everything is either super manufactured or super overpriced. We're glad we found this spot. There's a similar shop in orange county called The Loop, and it's basically terrible lol. Well obviously this establishment does not have an interior or does not aim to be a trendy spot at Instagram, it has something that most dessert places lack, actually good food. The churros are really dense and incredibly tasteful. While the ice cream is just normal, it pairs well with the homemade churros. It was a great experience overall. At least I know where to get great churros now. read more

Churros-Pier Bakery - So fresh, delicious, and absolutely scrumptious. Best churro I've ever had! - Bakeries Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

Churros! Churros!! Churros!!! Eating a churro makes me feel like I'm on vacation, at Disneyland, or just finished a Polish Dog at Costco. Churros are little crispy amigos that always seem to make me happy. Finding this small Pier Bakery Churros storefront facing the marina on the murky Redondo Beach International Boardwalk was a welcome and irresistible reunion with an old friend. The best churros are fresh & golden brown with a light dusting of cinnamon and sugar while being crunchy on the outside and soft & warm in the middle. The Pier Bakery version are advertised as "homemade" and they might be, but they weren't the freshest. Four of us split three pretty average churros. They're cheaper than Disney (like everything in life), but twice as much as a re-heated Costco churro. - $2.50 per Churro or 3 for $6 - Caramel or Strawberry Dip for $0.50 - Cotton Candy for $2.25 Churros from Pier Bakery were an average, but pleasant discovery while trolling along the waterfront. They aren't a reason to go the Redondo Beach Pier, but an option if you are already there and in the mood for a sweet snack or dessert. read more

Churros are one of my all-time favorite desserts! We had just finished a late lunch and were walking around the pier stuffed and ready for a beach bike ride, but as soon as we stumbled in front of this joint, my eyes completely lit up and I just had to get my sugary cinnamon fix on. They serve the churros wrapped up in a kind of parchment paper, so it keeps nice and warm all around. It was wonderfully chewy on the inside and crunchy and sweet on the outside. Although they only sell the original style churros, as oppose to the stuffed kind, I savored every bite of this deliciously sweet treat! Definitely 5 stars for this churro lover! ;) read more

Really delicious churros at a fair price. I grabbed one with the caramel sauce and it hit the spot. Cash only so bring your dollars!

CHURRRROS!!! The churros here are really good. The cost is $2.50 each or 3 for $6. Also, they offer a dipping sauce for $.50. You can either get a strawberry or caramel dipping sauce. I suggest getting the strawberry sauce since the caramel sauce was kind of weird tasting and really watery. So come here and get your hot churros and walk along the pier. read more

I LOVE this place. These churros here are The Bomb! (Who says that anymore? Lol.) No, for real! These churros with no filling are a perfect dessert EACH and EVERY time you stop by Redondo Beach Pier! Each and every family member & friend I bring to the pier has tried them and wants me to ship them out to them when they leave. Not kidding. I have lived in the area my whole life and this weekend was the first time I've ever been to this churro location. I usually go to the one on the upper part of the pier but GASP that area is under construction!! I was devastated because I had been wanting churros for the past week and what was I going to do now?!? That lasted all of 30 seconds because I remembered there is another churro bakery near the docks. So off I skipped. I was hesitant to try a new churro place because my allegiance lies with the other bakery. As I got closer, my boyfriend noticed that the guy working inside...was the same guy from the other bakery! My faith in life was restored because I knew these were going to be good. We got three for $5 (almost got 2, but one more for just a $1 more? I'm sold). Found a little table, sat down, and bit into the churro-y goodness. They were warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, rolled in tons of sugar, perfectly cooked. We each ate one for the time being and I tucked the other one into my purse for a snack later. FYI: a day-old churro tastes better than no churro at all. I had a delicious weekend thanks to these guys. read more

Churros-Pier Bakery - Bakeries Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

Hands down the best churros I've had in Cali! Their store front is called World Famous Churros now I believe, but it was once called Pier Bakery Churros. $2.50 for 1, or $6 for 3 and they're big! Always fresh, I had to wait a minute before taking a big bite because it was still hot. The churro is super crunchy outside but doughy and so soft inside. Covered with tons of cinnamon sugar, it's the perfect dessert to eat as you walk around the pier! My boyfriend and I split 3 between us 2 and we were definitely full afterwards. They also serve cotton candy! Never seen anybody get any, but it's a fun option. There's 2 locations on the pier, one is on the top level next to the Oyster shop and the other is on the lower level next to the ice cream shop! The lower level one closes earlier than the top read more

The churros from this establishment is absolutely - without a doubt - the best churros around! Not even Disneyland serves churros as good as these! Sorry Disneyland! Not to mention, THEY'RE VEGAN! What more could you ask for?! You can choose from strawberry dip and caramel dip for .50 cents each, although the churro alone is pure bliss. TLDR: vegan, delicious, selection of dips, and always fresh! read more

Since I don't have my Disneyland pass anymore and nothing tops Disney churros I've been on the hunt to find something as close to it as I can. Churros are $2.50 for 1 or $5 for 3. There was something missing in them..the flavor, crispness was there, but it seemed uncooked in the middle of it. I guess some people like it, but I'd rather have my churros thoroughly cooked. Can't wait to come back here to get more churros! read more

Super cute spot to craven that sweet tooth after walking the pier. 3 for $6 is a deal you can't beat for a carnival size churro. The lady working had only 2 left but was in the process of frying more. So I waited the extra 2 minutes for the 3 delicious golden brown churros, that reminded me of my bi-weekly Costco trips, only better! There was a perfect amount of cinnamon sugar on it that every bite left some sugar on my lips! I think because I know this was made with love made it that much tastier. Definitely a must while in Redondo. read more

The sign said best churros and it was true! It impressed me that they were still being freshly fried at 10pm. The churro had that perfect combo of crispy + chewy...delicious. Now I know and I'll get one any time I am at the Redondo beach pier! Yum! read more

Such a cute little establishment! Their churros are sooo good! However, make sure you have cash to be able to get them. They are a cash only stand, but there is a ATM nearby. I have had an undying sweet tooth for as long as I can recall. Donuts, cupcakes, ice-cream, and flan definitely rank high when it comes to my mile long list of favorite sweets and desserts. There is no doubt in my mind that churros take the top spot on my list. What is not to love about a warm, fresh, and sugary treat? At Redondo Beach Pier you will find endless snack and dessert options. They have ice-cream, gelato, milkshakes, and many many more. My go-to has forever been the always fresh churros at Pier Bakery. Their churros are crispy on the outside with just the right amount of softness and chewiness on the inside. They sell dipping sauces for those who want them but the churros alone are sweet enough for me. Prices are inexpensive and staff has always greeted me with a smile. This is a cash only location so be aware of that. Other spots on the pier offer churros as well but these are the best when it comes to quality. So the next time you find yourself on the pier make sure to check out Churros-Pier Bakery. read more

Yeah... I know its kind of silly to review a small churro bakery, but since I did, it should speak volumes of how delicious these churros are! Whenever I come visit my sister in Redondo Beach, I make sure to make the walk down to the pier to grab one of these! There are two of these locations at the pier, one is a small store-like bakery nestled underneath a staircase at the south end of the pier. The other is on the north-side. For some reason I feel the one on the southside tastes better, maybe because the location feels cleaner and less crowded. Lol Nevertheless, they make dozens every half hour so every churro is sure to be perfectly coated with cinnamon and sugar, super warm and fresh. There's a soft crunchy texture on the outside and extremely warm and soft on the inside. They are about a foot and a half in size and $2.50 each or 3 for $5. They also sell different dipping sauces for $0.50 cents too. My recommendation is to buy one of these churros and buy ice cream a few stores down. Perfect combination for dessert or when you're feeling like a sinful food-rebel. I'll definitely be back! Verdict: 4.5 Stars! Just a half star deduction for being a tad expensive. Extra Notes -$2.50 each or 3 for $6 -Two bakeries located on the pier, go to the south side one -You can watch how they make churros here -Parking can be expensive, park on Garnet street for free and walk down to pier -CASH ONLY read more

Located on the not-so-easy-to access international boardwalk at the Redondo Pier, this place has great churros. I saw everyone walking around with a churro in their hand so, using my brilliant skills of reason and deduction, I figured this might be an indication that they were making a delicious taste treat at this stand. They are fresh and hot and delicious. They have a nice crunch on the outside and soft in the inside. I'll definitely get one again the next time I'm at the pier. read more

The churros were surprisingly yummy here! A little different from normal churros as the outside is super crunchy and the inside is soft and mushy then the typical chewy inside. I actually really liked it this way! Great place to grab dessert when you're on the pier. read more

3 churros for $7!! Sounds a bit excessive but they were delicious. The churros were freshly made, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Perfectly made in my opinion. I hate it when I buy a churro and it's dry and tough to eat. If you like churros then this is a great place to get a fresh batch. We ate two of the churros while walking around the pier and ate the third one later on at home. Surprisingly, the churro was still fresh tasting even after going home. read more

Brought some family to Redondo Beach Pier / beach to get some Vitamin D, and was so excited to have them try the churros! I remember them to be the next best thing to Disneyland Churros :) But I was slightly disappointed. The churros weren't coated in as much cinnamon sugar as I wanted, so by itself it wasn't the best...no real flavor. Redeeming factor: the strawberry and caramel dips! Grab a churro since it's the most decent thing to eat on the beach, but grabbing dipping sauce IS NOW A MUST! =================== update as of 2/27/2010: Me: I am craving churros. Alvin C.: That sounds AWESOME! Me: Yeahhhh. Let me check Yelp. Lo and behold, a churro place was found at Rendondo Beach, the neighboring city of Hermosa Beach :D LOCATION & PARKING The pier itself is a bit confusing to enter, but as Toucan Sam put it, I just needed to follow my nose :D If you find parking above ground (and not in the parking lot), I believe it is much cheaper. We only paid $0.50 for 20 minutes, right next to the Mermaid area. Just make sure you don't enter the "BUS ONLY" area. That would be FAIL. FOOD The churros were fairly cheap, but not COSTCO cheap. 1 for $2 3 for $5 Between the 2 of us, we would OBV go for the 3 for $5. Don't forget to grab some DIP! It's only $0.50 extra, for carmel-y goodness. Yummmm. The churros itself were a bit doughy, but delicious nonetheless. I'd definitely crave these more than Costco churros. SERVICE There was only one guy manning the entire churro hut, but great service! He even saw that I was Filipino and when I thanked him afterwards, he greeted me with "Salamat, at walang anuman"! How awesome is that? When I visit Alvin C. at Hermosa Beach, I will happily hit up Rendondo Pier for some awesome churros. read more

This could possibly be the best churro I've ever had in my life. With the low price and surrounding cheap boardwalk restaurants, my expectations were quite low. We ordered one churro to split for a couple of dollars and got the caramel sauce to go with. I could have had four more! Seriously mouth watering and served warm. Tasted extremely fresh. The perfect snack for a day on the pier. read more

Fresh, warm, and generously covered in sugar - definitely a tasty churro to complete the day at Redondo! Texture is top-notch. The only way to screw up a churro is if you give me something stale and/or cold, but this was 100% freshly made and deliciously warm. Lots of cinnamon-y sugar-y goodness to leave me and my clothing coated in it.... the evidence of a good dessert all over me! $2.50 for 1 churro, and you can pay $0.50 extra for either caramel or strawberry dipping sauce. But you honestly don't need the sauce because the sweetness is already ON POINT! read more

Let me just say that churros are best when they are kept simple! I've had the gourmet variety from Picca and although they were good, I prefer the style of churros that I grew up on...a foot-long of toasty, crunchy and cinnamon-y ridged tubes with a warm doughy texture in the center. No need for a dip as they're good just the way they are. Why re-make something all fancy-schmancy and charge $$$ when they're already so delish? 3 for $5 = getting your money's worth :) This particular churros shop on the Redondo Beach Pier has been in business for years. I remember coming here as a kid with my family. Ahhhh, memories! :) I'm not sure if it's a family-owned business but there's usually just one guy working. Friendly as ever too! Heck, I'd be happy and friendly if I worked there too! haha So, if you're ever hanging out near the Pier and find yourself wanting a quick snack, stop by the churros shop and treat yourself to a churro (or more!) and go on enjoying your day at the beach! :) read more

Now I always see people selling churros in the subway back home but I can never truly seem to purchase food whilst underground. While leaving the pier I had to stop and partake of the churros sitting there on the windowsill 1 for $2, 3 for $5. I had just a fraction of one and it melted in my mouth it was so divine. At this point I felt cheated that for all these years I had never tried on of this deliciously portable snacks before. Needless to say for 2 days straight I was dying to go back. Unfortunately, it's best not to go right around 7-8 when everything is closing up and not only did I have a less than stellar churro, but I had bought into the 3 for $5 deal and had to force myself to finish them all together with Armin L. I feel like it only taught me lesson about strategic planning however and I will have to stop and get some hot fresh ones before heading back to NY. read more

These churros are deserving of each and every one of their 5 stars. As you wait, you can look into the window and see the churros being made. They are perfectly crunchy on the outside and a bit doughy on the inside, with the right balance of sugar and cinnamon. There's no need for a dipping sauce, filling, or nouveau ingredients since these churros are perfect. Really, they are perfect. Every time we're at the pier I make sure and grab a churro from this place. They have two locations I believe, one on the pier entrance and another along the boardwalk-y part.
