She came in her regular vehicle and gave out her DELICIOUS food for free, stating that she knew people were relying on her for dinner and wanted to ensure we ate. After seeing some…read morefolks come in with orders of Tots with Bacon Jam, Butternut Squash soup, and a Chicken Sandwich on a beautiful ciabatta roll, we had no choice but to cave in and place an order ourselves. Being from Asheville, we're no stranger to food trucks, but Thoroguhfare's truck is beautiful. The color pallette they utilize is a classical black and white, but the accents run throughout the truck, including the covered awning! An awning on a food truck, to shield customers from the sun and rain, what a touch of class. Also, everything was immaculately clean. I couldn't tell if this truck was brand new, or if they give the thing a french restaurant style scrub down at the end of every service. The menu was simple yet well prepared, there were the aforementioned items, as well as Fish Tacos (my favorite) and Shrimp and Grits with a nice large hunk of tilapia. We selected the Fish Tacos. $9 for two tacos is a bit expensive, but I feel like we were paying for the quality of ingredients and the convenience of location. Ordering was quick, payed with a card via Square, and the person operating the window took down our phone number to text us when our order was ready. This is another really pleasant courtesy. Our tacos were prepared quickly and we dove in. The kale was a very interesting choice. It provided a nice green flavor to the tacos, but I missed the crunch of the standard cabbage. It's cool, kale is in, I get it. Kale is probably much healthier than cabbage as well, I know. It's just... I want that bite curve! Aside from me being a real dork about the need for cabbage in fish tacos, they were excellent. The fish was prepared extremely well, and the white sauce was totally on point. While eating my wife mentioned how everything tasted so fresh and healthy, that although we were eating fried fish she didn't feel guilty or bad. Lovely! This is a great food truck, and I hope that Greenville embraces and supports it.

I am not sure if Neil is just unbelievably overwhelmed but we are planning our wedding for November 9th and have been trying to plan with Neil for at least a month and were told yes on our needs. When trying to go over everything and get it all nailed down we were basically ghosted. I have reached out several times and received one text back saying he had reached out to my fiance and he left me his cell which he never answers or responds to texts. My fiance has wanted to hire this company since just before covid when we were supposed to get married but put it off for obvious reasons. She was so excited to finally be able to book thoroughfare only to be disappointed in the end. Maybe we are just a one off I don't know but this is what we experienced with Neil and are very disgusted with the way this went. The 2 stars is because the food is undeniably terrific sadly we will not be experiencing the food at our wedding thanks to the lack of communication. Maybe they are just too busy for all the customers ...

The One-Eyed Donkey food truck came into our neighborhood this week. Apparently everyone in my…read morecommunity wanted Greek food because there was a queue. Everyone stayed more than 6 feet apart. The staff alternated between taking orders and filling orders. They'd take about three orders (one person working full time on filling them) and then they'd close the window and the second person would don fresh gloves and work on filling orders to get people served in a timely manner. . We ordered the falafel gyro, fries with feta and an order of loukoumades (Greek mini donuts). The fries were great. The falafel was similar to what I've had on the streets of Athens- delicate and nicely crunchy. The loukoumades were amazing- delicately spiced with cinnamon and a light honey while being crispy on the outside and soft inside. Highly recommend! Think Greek donut holes.

We ended up with the Bolitas de Yuca con Queso as an app. He ordered his entrée: Chayote Rellano. When I tried to order my entrée, the first two things I chose were not available that night. I said to the woman I had never been there before, asked what she might recommend and she tersely and flippantly said, "Throw a dart." I could hear the impatience in her voice; she couldn't be bothered to make a suggestion. I was out of ideas so I quickly chose the Cubano. We took our order table marker and found a seat. The ambience left a lot to be desired; the tables and chairs were cheap, and there wasn't much decor. Our appetizer was delivered at the same time as my entrée. The bolitas were actually tasty; however, I wanted to try my sandwich when it was hot but felt it would be rude to start before my friend's entrée arrived. The kitchen's timing was terrible. Eventually my companion's entrée arrived, and he was happy with his dinner. My Cubano was very unimpressive. The flavor was bland. Our drinks - sangria - tasted like there was no alcohol in them. Overall, we spent over $70 for 2 dinners, an appetizer and 2 drinks, and I was tremendously disappointed. With unimpressive food and high prices, I will have a hard time giving them a second chance.
