I was recommended to Dr. Hutton and drove 45 min out from the city willing to try anything. An appointment was booked on a Monday night for Tuesday morning, perfect timing. He told me don't ever use those kettle bells at the gym and that upon X-ray I had actually twisted my hips and it wasn't my back at all. Crack, crunch, pop, an ice pack and I was on my way. Next day was sore (naturally), he took me day of. I followed up again today for the 3rd day in a row and I am seeing serious progress. I hobble into the office and walk out 15 min later skipping to the car. I can tell that after one more session I will be good as new. I've been very weary of chiropractic work but Dr. Hutton absolutely reversed my feelings on it. I don't sense he is trying to keep me needing treatment (many think doctors do this)--he set the number of treatments I would need right out of the gate. The office is so friendly (mailed me a card!), accommodating and as a bonus he is a body builder so he can talk about how to push a workout without injuring yourself. He's so relatable...it was a great experience for something not so great. How do I end this? Hope I'll be back?? I don't hope so but if something happens again I know where I'll go.

My presenting issue was Sciatica and a spine that was out of alignment. These were completely resolved, and I have been experiencing no chronic pain since. However, I continued with adjustments because I discovered my health improved dramatically (I have not been ill for over six years), and my energy levels, flexibility, mobility and posture are all close to what they were decades ago! I have resumed weight-lifting. However, the main reason I have written a new review is this: Quite recently, Dr. Hutton has introduced a new Chiropractor to the practice -- Dr. Fish. For the past couple of months I have been seeing him for my adjustments, and he is outstanding! He has been very skillful at finding and resolving areas of tension or potential misalignment before they cause any real discomfort or problems! I have been quite impressed! He is also very personable and easy to talk with. If you considering chiropractic therapy, I highly recommend Dr. Fish! Finally, I don't want to leave out the office staff, who are welcoming, pleasant and always happy to help a patient with any problems! Please DO give Palatine Family Chiropractic a try!!

I am a 52 yr old very active male that has been suffering from lower back pain for as long as I can…read moreremember. If I'm on my feet- especially just standing in one place- for over 30 min, my lower back tightens up. I exercise 5-6 days a week- jogging ~ 3 miles, stepper machine, weights and walking 18 holes on a golf course once per week during summer. The back pain is always there, and although it hasn't prevented me from staying active, it was always in the back of my mind (no pun intended). I'm constantly trying to stretch out my back. I visited another chiropractic facility that focuses on back pain. They prescribed an MRI which showed a slight bulging disc and promised they could improve my situation in 4-6 mos. After visiting 3x per week for 1.5 hrs per session- being put in a tight harness, hung from above and stretched horizontally on a table, I felt slight improvement- but not enough to continue. I met Dr Landholm at the PGA Superstore on Golf Rd one Sat in May (while being treated at the aforementioned practice). She showed me how my muscle imbalance was probably a result of misalignment and was causing my pain. I told her that I would continue with my current treatment for a few more months. Since the improvement wasn't occuring, a few months later I called Dr Landholm and made an appointment. I had never heard of NUCCA but learned a lot in my first visit. It certainly didn't seem that adjusting one vertebra would make that much difference on my lower back. I was impressed with the precision they used in taking x-rays and measuring my vertebrae. Dr Landholm and Dr Barone were confident their procedures would work. I was skeptical but willing to try. After analyzing my x-rays Dr Barone did the first adjustment. I was shocked that it took five minutes and was painless. He asked me to walk across the floor and let me know if I noticed a difference. I did not expect one adjustment to make a difference and I wasn't sure if it did. He said some feel a difference immediately and others take more time. I must say, later that day my lower back pain seemed to subside. Over the last 10 mos the adjustments have been less frequent- in some cases I've gone 4-5 weeks without an adjustment. My back pain definitely has reduced, but it's not completely eliminated. After a round of golf (walking) it is definitely much better than it was a year ago. And I don't feel it nearly as much as I did when I started treatment. I'm hopeful that a few more months of keeping me aligned will help get me back to pain free. The office staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. I've already referred a coworker and would recommend anyone with back issues to make an appointment.

This practice is great -- from the two chiropractors to the front staff -- except for Rani…read more From my initial exam to the X-ray discovery, she spent not 5mins me, both times rude abrasive and just overall rushing through both meetings like she has somewhere more important to be -- on her phone, not with her patients. As soon as she walked into the room even before my X-ray evaluation began, she started with: I won't have time to answer a lot of questions. Then she spent maybe 3mins rushing over the two X-ray images, refused to go back to compare my old images, and actually said to me: "I don't have time to go over that." To be fair, I was 5mins late to the appt. But then not five minutes later I saw her at the front on her phone looking bored. Wtf? So you don't have time to actually oh I don't know take care of paying patients - you call yourself doctor after all - but have time to be on your phone looking bored at the front desk rather than actually use your degree and helping real people. My treatment recommendation didn't include electrical stimulation, which I really liked and helped a lot, and when I asked her for it she said that's not our recommendation. She tried instead to sell me acupuncture which is apparently what she does so of course given the "care" I saw from her so far, immediately declined. Unfortunate, bc I would like acupuncture as part of treatment just no way in hell I'm letting such a person "treat me" let alone bring sharp objects near me. You couldn't PAY me to let such an uncaring unprofessional clearly disinterested in patients "doctor" to poke me with needles, no thank you.
