I was last in the nutmeg stage way back in 2022 when some friends and I drove to Manchester to check this place out, well, we should have checked the hours because it was closed and I wanted to cry. Well, now it's 2026 and a buddy of mine made sure we came on a day they were actually opened and I'm sure glad we did. This store is absolutely perfect from the first room full of arcade machines, on card action figures, and random toys to the video game room full of classics from the Dreamcast, GameCube, and even modern switch stuff. The last room here is vintage shirts and such which I didn't spend much time glancing at, but was a cool edition. It was cool seeing a place in Connecticut filled with old WWF stuff, Big Bad Beetle Borgs, Nintendo Powers, and tons and tons of figures, I wish this place was here when I lived in the area a decade ago. Overall, this is definitely one of my new favourite spots on Connecticut and definitely somewhere I'll be shopping at again on future trips. Even though I left empty handed (can only fit so much back to LA) I already look forward to coming back.

We've visited their Simsbury store a bunch of times, and we saw pretty much the same selection of low priced goods here in Glastonbury - men's & women's clothing, shoes, household goods, artwork, books, toys, etc. We caught a 50% off sale on clothing yesterday, and I walked out with a $15 blazer for $7.50. Pretty sweet, eh? All proceeds go to charity (The Village for Families) and the store employees are all volunteers. The two women we interacted with were as nice and friendly as could be, we really enjoyed chatting with them. Bottom line? You can score some great bargains and support a worthy charity all at the same time.

The young woman we spoke with was unfriendly from the start, and before we even had a chance to show her the clothing we brought in, she focused almost entirely on reasons we shouldn't consign rather than explaining the process or giving us any reason to want to work with your store. I've been consigning with high-end shops for decades and have never been treated this way. The experience felt dismissive and off-putting, and we left without even showing what we brought. The store is a substantial size, most of it is women's clothes, shoes, and some accessories. They also have some items for men. They had a ton of hoodies on the racks, they had so many that it was difficult to see them, or to pull them out. They had a whole table off UGG shoes and boots, these were at average $70. Why bother buying them here, when you could get them brand new at Nordstrom Rack, for a very similar price? The prices in general made no sense to me. They did have some "formal" dresses and shoes. My overall impression is the lower priced items can be found at Marshalls and Burlington, and the higher priced can be found at Nordstrom Rack or Amazon. Based on my observation, they are very particular on what they buy from you, and for how much.
