    Garlic shrimp

Walked by on a Thursday morning and waited about 20-25 mins in line for a garlic shrimp toast sandwich and strawberry matcha tea. The bulgogi ribeye is the most popular but two employees mentioned the garlic shrimp was their favorite. The line starts on the bridge down the street btw. They don't do tapioca anymore. There are a few small tables inside, meant to seat only 2 people, so not the best for large groups. The strawberry matcha was tasty - the bitterness of the matcha is nicely offset by the sweet strawberry flavor. They offer both regular and oat milk for it.

Ok, I've got beef... Bulgogi beef, to be exact--inside my sandwich at Chun, and it was absolutely exceptional. But you know what else was exceptional? The effort it took to enjoy this 16 Euro toast. We stood in line on the bridge across the street for nearly an hour before finally gaining entrance to this tiny shop. Let's talk bottlenecks. First, the kitchen: three employees meticulously crafting these perfect little sandwiches, Chur'ning out a pair every few minutes. Come on, guys--hire more staff and speed things up! For every person who braved 45 minutes in the cold, 20 more probably took one look at the line and said, "Nope." The second bottleneck? The tables and the people at them. They just didn't move. It's hard to believe the lack of empathy for those of us shivering outside while they lingered, taking phone calls and chatting long after finishing their toast. Eat, enjoy, and then make way for the next hungry souls! In conclusion: Go to Chun. It's fantastic. But don't stop at one sandwich. Get the Ribeye Bulgogi and another to share. Otherwise, you'll scarf it down too quickly and be left facing the prospect of yet another long, cold wait on the bridge.

Chun Cafe was tasty with a cute ambiance but not worth the 1 hour wait to get inside, in my opinion. I got the shrimp sando and it was tasty but lackluster. It tasted like it needed a little more season or a kick to elevate the dish. I am appreciative that they were generous with the shrimp serving size, there was shrimp throughout the entire sando! I would go back to try something else if there was no line.

I waited in a fairly short line recently, mostly because the weather was so crummy. It was still a 20 minute wait. While we were waiting inside, we had our hot beverages. my Chai Latte was pretty good. I've had better. It wasn't hot enough but they were nice enough to make it hot again. We both ordered the Bolgolgi sand which and it was excellent. So delicious. Perfectly balanced and worth the wait. I wish the egg were not sitting right on top of the sandwich. i would have liked it throughout the sandwich. There might be a perfectly good reason they did this. Decent value. I would recommend for food, ambience and price, as long as you don't mind waiting on line. We took ours to go. With limited table space, we figured it was the fastest way to our tasty sandwich. It probably would have been better fresh, as opposed to 30 minutes afterward, when we got back to the hotel. It was still damn good, even though we lost the crunch satisfaction of the toast by the time we ate it.

This was one of the restaurants that everyone talked about on Instagram and Tik Tok so I had to make my way here and it did not disappoint. This was one the best meals I had on my Amsterdam trip. I got there at 10:30 in the morning and there was already a line out the door. On the bright side, the line went fast and my group only had to wait 15 minutes for a table (if you get your food as take out, you can't sit down at the tables afterwards). My group got three different toasts - the egg salad, the garlic shrimp egg, and the rib eye bulgogi. We also got the hojicha latte and a matcha latte. Every toast was perfect. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The filling was also well seasoned and there was A LOT of filling in the toast as well. Of all the toasts, the garlic shrimp egg was my favorite, but they're all good in their own way. If you make your way to Amsterdam, definitely check this place out.

Super popular place on social media. Came on a weekday and there was short line. Ended up waiting about 20 minutes. Didn't get a chance to try their food, but picked up a strawberry matcha latte. It was a bit more milky than I prefer, but flavors were fine. Personally, I don't think it's worth waiting more than 5 to 10 minutes for the drinks.

Very cute little spot. There's always a line where you will wait at least an hour. I got the bulgogi Sandwich Super good. Also, the Jasmine Boba was refreshing my party also got the Matcha Strawberry and Café Latte

There's this little place in Houston, Tx called the EggHaus...now, they serve a killer egg sandwich. Chun, I'm afraid, is an overly hyped tiktok phenom without much sticking power. Sure, the brioche bread is tasty, but the attempts at filling said bread with anything resembling a fulfilling sandwich fall sort on the sandwich game. For the world is wide and filled with sandwich connoisseurs, and if you are one, skip the ridiculously pretentious line and take a trip to Houston instead.

I call them the Blue Bottle of Amsterdam but for boba drinks and yummy sando. Their decor is very minimalist which give a very clean and designer vibe. Their drinks are ok (compared to SF Bay Area selection) but their sando, their Rib Eye Bulgogi sando is worth all the calories! Price is higher than most cafes nearby but definitely worth a try~

Super cute packaging! Oh! And I got the Peach Tea which was pretty good.

In Amsterdam...no idea when I'd get back here so I had to try it. The Wait: Stood in line for about 40 minutes, then about another 20 minutes once inside. It was beautiful day so no biggie. The Staff: Nice and courteous, no complaints. The Food: I ordered 3 sandwiches, the Ribeye Bulgogi, the Egg salad and the Garlic, Shrimp & Egg. The Taste: Meh...They were all flavorful, not bland...but nothing really stood about them. It's basically a very thick piece of, what we in the US call, "Texas toast" with various fillings. Maybe that's not a common bread type here, no clue. If that's the case, then I get the appeal. I mean who doesn't love Texas toast?! It was ok, but it's not something I would want to have again.

Worth the wait!! (If you get the Bulgogi one) the others did not sound worthwhile, but the Bulgogi in this sandwich is so good & the bread / sauce they use is mouth watering. I added Avo in mine, but that's just a personal preference

The toast are so insane. Tried the below toast and felt the garlic shrimp toast was the best . For drink the matcha strawberry was really good . There is a long line to get in since it's really popular . However worth the wait and a must try out .

First time trying boba in The Netherlands! I thought it was pretty good…read more YoYo has locations all around, I actually first stumbled across their stall when visiting Rotterdam. Didn't make a stop at first because I honestly did not have high expectations, and to me it was like a "I traveled all the way here just to drink something I already have at home" kind of thought. But I stumbled across the store in Amsterdam after having dinner, and caved in. So the branding and the aesthetics of the place remind me of Yogurtland.. Same color scheme and everything, down to the green leaf. The space is clean and inviting, but kind of "cluttered" with a bunch of merchandise and non-food items stacked everywhere. The menu is on the smaller side, with a handful of milk teas to choose from, and a few iced teas. Other menu options include coffee, yogurt , and snacks. If boba isn't your thing, the topping bar also has popping boba, lychee, and other jellies. We went with a regular milk tea and a Jasmine Milk Tea. The drinks I believe were customizable, you can request a certain sugar level depending on how sweet you want it. No complains for the tea, it was flavorful and made to our liking. The boba had a good consistency, I liked how chewy it was without being mushy. Not too many complaints for YoYo. Maybe they could add more menu options, and they were a little skimpy when it came to filling the cup with boba and tea. But it was pleasant, glad The Netherlands has a decent boba shop for everyone to enjoy.

I get a hot taro all the time during the winter, but this was definitely one of the worst ones I've had. It tasted really powdery still, like they didn't mix it enough and the bubbles were too sweet. I stumbled upon it while waiting for my hotel next door to be ready, and I'm really glad I did. It's a quiet, relaxed spot that makes for a great break during a day of exploring Amsterdam. What I Ordered Matcha Latte with Boba I was excited to see that they use ceremonial grade matcha, and I believe they hand-whisk it as well (though I forgot to confirm--it's shown on their Instagram). The drink itself was incredibly satisfying. The Experience This was exactly what I was craving. The matcha latte struck a perfect balance--creamy without being heavy, slightly nutty, and most importantly, it tasted like quality matcha. The boba was a fun addition, and it all came together beautifully. Final Thoughts Tea Kee is definitely worth a stop if you're in Amsterdam or just visiting. It offers the kind of well-prepared matcha drink that's surprisingly hard to find--even in places known for matcha culture. Dare I say, it's better than a lot of spots I've tried back in the Bay Area? Overall: 4.5/5

We decided to play a bit of roulette for dinner and asked the staff to help make selections for us based on what they felt was a "must-have." Needless to say - she knew her stuff. I don't remember that menu names for everything, but I do know that I'd have no shame on my next visit by pulling up this review to show my pics and ask for the same stuff again. We literally enjoyed every single thing we had. The place is impressive. As you walk up, you'll stumble upon their repetitive Michelin cards displayed at the front window. Based on the taste and experience, they were well earned. Surprisingly, the tab at the end of the meal was not expensive -- I thought the value was worth it. The place has a trendy feel to it.
