I'm not expecting anyone to roll out the red carpet for me, but the difference in how I was treated compared to the customers immediately before me was noticeable enough that it felt uncomfortable. The funny and honestly sad part is that my wife is Mexican, so Mexican culture and food are a big part of our family. I would have loved to make this a place we came back to regularly. You would think a local restaurant would want every customer who walks through the door to feel equally welcome, especially when there are so many other places people can choose to spend their money. Hopefully this was just an off interaction, because the customer experience should not change that drastically from one person to the next.
