Outstanding Help With N-400, N-648, and RFE Response! Chugh law office was originally recommended to me by someone I trust. I later recommended them to a friend, who also had a great experience. So when it was time for me to look for immigration assistance for my disabled mother, I didn't hesitate to reach out -- and I'm so glad I did. Our case turned out to be much more complicated than expected. My mother qualified for a medical disability exemption (N-648), but her primary care physician did not complete the form properly the first time. This resulted in multiple interviews and a Request for Evidence (RFE). It was stressful and overwhelming at times, but their team stepped in and helped us correct everything strategically. They carefully reviewed our documentation, clearly explained USCIS expectations (especially regarding medical nexus and oath capacity issues), and guided us in preparing a strong RFE response. I have a very busy schedule and am much easier to reach by email, and they were consistently communicative, responsive, and thorough in their correspondence. I always felt informed and supported. Their fees were reasonable for the level of detail and guidance they provided, and they were transparent about the scope of work and expectations. They never overpromised outcomes, but they made sure our submission was as strong as possible. Thanks to their guidance, my mother successfully obtained her U.S. citizenship, and we were even able to receive her certificate the same day. I'm incredibly grateful for their professionalism, patience, and attention to detail during such an important process for our family. I highly recommend them to anyone navigating a complicated immigration matter -- especially cases involving an N-400 naturalization application, an N-648 medical disability waiver, or an RFE. read more

I hired this law firm for my restraining order and divorce and signed a retainer for $7,500. They told me the restraining order would be a flat $2,500. From the moment I hired them, communication was almost nonexistent-they ignored my calls, emails, and messages. On the hearing date, Attorney Mr. Ethen appeared via Zoom and simply requested a continuance for my restraining order. I felt completely unsupported. After that, I decided to change attorneys and requested a refund for the unused portion. I had to follow up for months with numerous emails and office visits, yet I received no response, invoices, or updates. Eventually, they issued what I believe is a fraudulent invoice, charging me for 03/14/2025-- four days before I even hired them on 03/18/2025. They also charged me $2,100 for the continuance, claiming it was hourly and done by a senior attorney, but my emails clearly show it was handled by an associate attorney. After I posted a review, Mrs. Balween called me and spoke rudely, even though prior to that they had ignored all my attempts to contact them. I feel that they took advantage of me, misused my hard-earned money, and engaged in questionable billing practices. I eventually received only around $450 after five months of chasing them in person and via email. I strongly do not recommend this firm. Their service is terrible, communication is nonexistent, and their billing practices are questionable. If you want to save your money and protect your case, look elsewhere. Filing a complaint with the State Bar may also be necessary. read more

I'm originally from Venezuela and I was under TPS, and Chugh, LLP helped me through my entire H-1B process. The case wasn't easy, but everything was handled efficiently. They explained each step, guided me through the requirements, and took care of all the filings. They also prepared me for the visa interview and helped me understand exactly what to expect. My process required traveling outside the U.S. to Colombia for the H-1B visa stamp, and their guidance made the whole experience smoother. Overall, I had a solid experience and appreciate the support throughout the process. My wife also had her H-4 approved, and I successfully obtained my H-1B visa. read more

I want to thank Carmen and her team (Chugh LLP) for the invaluable assistance and guidance provided to me during the Green Card processing for myself and my wife. Navigating from different company to my current employer where carmen and her support staff (Renju, Toni, Jacqueline) listened to my case and provided expert guidance during the transition of my H1b transfer and then during my Green Card Processing. They all are well versed with the rules and guidelines and patiently work with you if any corrections to be made in documentation during H1b extensions and GC processing. They keep you in the loop in each and every step of the way. They promptly address any questions and communicate with emails and phone as needed. I have seen many attorneys who never bothered to reply to mails inspite of the urgency. Even though i didn't avail their visa interview preparation meeting, i wholeheartedly recommend it so that they prepare you with invaluable insights for the visa interview. Talking to carmen is like talking to elder sister she listens patiently, she tells what's the problem of the case straight away and explains the process and give possible solutions to rectify the issue. In the 11+ years association with carmen i have never felt any fear to approach her, whenever i feel like i will just shoot a mail to her regarding a situation and she will promptly reply by the end of the day (due to time difference of her location). In USA getting the right attorney for yourself is half battle won during the whole immigration process, and i must say I have Carmen with me, before her i have worked with 2 more employers whose attorneys are so awful i just had no hope due to their work ethics viz, several mistakes in documentation, wrong paperwork during filling, temper tantrums during communication to name a few. Carmen is cool as cucumber and i once again thank her and her team good luck. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Chugh LLP over the last 4 years over my and my wife's immigration case. Chugh LLP handled my L1A visa application, my wife's L2 and EAD application, its extension and then our Green Card applications. In all our engagements with Chugh LLP we had always on time filling of applications (error free), they properly guided us on every step and worked with us on timeline expectations wherein ensuring nothing slips from the cracks. Even during the peak of Covid-19 they maintained very good communication to ensure we are informed in every step of our applications. Special mention for paralegal Nina as she was super helpful and was always a phone call away. read more

I highly dont recommend this firm. I called for consultation and spoke with receptionist, marketing team member, and another appointment setter. Repeated myself 3 times to three different people to book a consultation. No one called me back for 1 week. My case is relatively small so they dont bother to care. There are far more affordable and kinder CPA attorneys in LA. read more

Go to this law firm if you want to MESS UP your case due to their lack of experience and NEGLIGENCE.Go here if you want to JEOPARDISE your case and LOOSE PEACE OF MIND for you and your family.Case handled by Vandana and Min. I filed my case with this law firm and they did wrong filing of my 485,the last step of the green card processing.I found the wrong filing and asked to correct this. The Senior attorney says that I am doing DRAMA.Clients life and their  families life is a DRAMA for this attorney Mr Min.They don't even care the client. They did not even take care of fixing the case even after insisting. The  mistake is so clear and I proved it and they returned all my money, I asked the firm to compensate me for their mistake and they said "If you continue to contact this law firm, you will force our hand to change these proceedings into something more adversarial in nature, which will be both time consuming and costly from your standpoint. It looks like Indians have had good luck at this firm, perhaps since that is their specialty so I can't speak to that. What I can warn you is that you could work with this firm for several years and never speak to a lawyer despite multiple requests to do so. Carmen positions herself as an expert and a lawyer but is a notary with a Bachelors in business. The firm dropped the ball on multiple deadlines despite numerous follow-ups leading to sudden loss of employment and need to leave the country with no way back. Please seek a firm who will only give you legal counsel through lawyers directly. read more

This law firm has very low quality professionals. I would never recommend them. They have screwed the LCA application for H1-B, had to send it again while the deadline of grace period was about to expire. I have used one of the CPAs as my tax advisor since 2011. The CPA has always provided fast services for a reasonable fee. I used to use software to do my own taxes but with life happening it became too time consuming to do everything myself. My company tied up with Chugh, LLP for doing the immigration process for filing the non-immigrant skilled labour h1b visas. We came in touch with CHUGH LLP about a year ago for immigration related services. Carmen Lopez was highly recommended by our colleagues (who had used their service) and employer. During this period, they successfully filed various petitions. They were patient and very accommodating with our numerous queries and requests. They handled all our queries professionally and their expert advice helped control the unnecessary anxiety. Everyone on the team were great. We found talking to Carmen very easy. She listened to all our queries patiently and answered each one of them thoroughly. We weren't rushed. I felt compassion and seriousness in her voice. She is definitely a great asset to this firm.
