I walked into Chuggie's slightly skeptical because of the mixed reviews on Yelp. Honestly, I have no idea what half of these reviews are even complaining about... this place is REALLY GOOD for the price! Maybe some people were being too harsh during their beginning opening stages? The Frita Royale was juicy and full of flavor. Mojo ketchup and papitas?! Yes please! This was such a fun little gourmet play on a traditional frita. I've seen some reviews saying the burgers aren't good or taste like McDonald's burgers, but that couldn't be further from my experience. This was a fresh, well-executed, JUICYYYY $9 burger. It's refreshing because most burgers in this area are too fancy and are upwards of like $20. The Chug's sauce was fantastic also. Get the chug's sauce. The shaker fry bag was such a fun bonus. Seasoning the fries yourself and shaking the bag made the whole thing interactive, and the fries were perfectly coated. The MIA seasoning is kind of like a garlic parm seasoning while the West Coaster has Lawry's and paprika. Both were really good. The soft serve is just normal soft serve, nothing crazy, but I couldn't resist not having some with Frosted Flakes on this blistering hot Miami afternoon. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area! The only downside is that they aren't open too too late. Having these juicy burgers and fritas at 1am after bar hopping would be amazing!

I had pretty high hopes for Chuggie's since it's from the same owners as chugs, Ariete , and that group ..spots that usually deliver great vibes and solid food. But after reading a few mixed reviews, my expectations kind of dropped. Some people mentioned the bread being hard and the fries overly crunchy, which made me a bit nervous going in. Luckily, that wasn't my experience. My bread was soft, and the burger was actually pretty decent .. nothing mind blowing, but definitely not bad either. My boyfriend ordered the Frita, which was also pretty good. Again, not the best one I've had, but it hit the spot. Overall, it's a solid spot, just maybe not worth all the hype I initially expected.

I have been wanting to go here for a while. I have been seeing people talk about the burgers and fries. I was next door at Grove Grocer. As soon as you walk in you can put in your order with a machine. The prices were very reasonable for the area. I got a chicken sandwich and fries. I took it to go. The sandwich was delicious. The fries were nice and crispy. I am definitely coming back here again. Chilled vibes for an early quick meal. The food was fresh. Good for families.

I haven't been to the physical location, I ordered on door dash. The fries and burger were delicious. The cookies were good (nice crispiness and chocolate flavor). Reasonable prices I cant wait to check them out in person.

Really enjoyed my meal at Chuggie's! The Frita was flavorful and juicy and the burger was also really good, cooked just right. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the seasoning on the fries..it just wasn't my favorite. Other than that, everything hit the spot. Even the little cookies. There's a little kiosk inside where you place your order on a screen, and then they text you when it's ready which is super easy and convenient. It's a very small spot with just a few tables outside, perfect for a quick, casual bite in the Grove. Overall, solid spot with good food and a chill setup.

Not impressed by their fast food. Cookies were the best thing I ate. The burger - wait where's the beef? More bread, sauce and toppings makes this a burger? Also, the breading on nugget doesn't stick and flavor is lacking. Sauces were ok. Parking in the grove is crazy expensive so not a place I would run to revisit anytime soon.

I was super excited to check this place out with all the hype I've seen on social media. I was a bit underwhelmed with everything. We came on a Saturday afternoon and assumed it would be super busy. However, ordering and getting our food was quick and efficient. You order at a kiosk and they'll text you or call out your name when the food is ready. I wish there was more seating because you can't sit at sandbars tables. We got lucky and grabbed a table by the next door bbq place that hasn't opened yet so we didn't get kicked out. As for the food, I ordered the chicken sandwich which was cold and could pass for a McDonald's chicken sandwich. I was expecting something different. The fries with the MIA seasoning was probably the best part. I don't think I'd come back unless they changed up some menu items.

Y'all this new spot opened up in coconut grove and I love it. It really gives a twist on your traditional frita. I read some of the previous reviews and maybe it was just fairly new and getting settled in. Because that Frita Royale was delicious, if the onions would've been sliced thinner it would've been even better. It still hit the spot, there was plenty of flavor in the frita. Definitely will be coming back. The fries were good, I like that they are thin cut. This spot would be ideal after a late night of drinking. If they were opened past 10 pm it would be amazing. Overall, I really did enjoy their food. The service was great, the food was ready fairly quick. I highly recommend you check them out if you are in the grove area.

I was finally able to try out one of the Grove's newest burger spots. Chuggie's serves a small menu of burgers, fries, drinks and ice cream. It's got an old school vibe which is very nice to see amongst so many changes the Grove has experienced in recent years. I ordered the Frita which was good but the sauce made the bread a little too soggy for my taste. My favorite thing was the seasoned fries in a bag. I love that you can grab them and go! Fyi you order your own food on the computer and your number is called once your order is ready. Overall this is a nice spot if you want a quick simple burger and fries.

Chuggie's has been on my radar and I'm glad I got to check them out. The fries and chicken sandwich with cheese was really good. I couldn't believe how fresh and delicious it was going to be and the cookie bites were a nostalgic experience for me. The service was great and the place is cute. Looking forward to trying their nuggets next time as I don't eat burgers. Check them out and enjoy!

Cute little corner spot in front of barracudas in the Grove lends to a fun and delicious meal. Got the OG smash burger with American cheese, dill pickles, Chug sauce and crispy onions and the most delicious fresh fries! Indulged in the little mini cookies, crunchy and fresh..such nostalgia all in all really delicious. FYI, the Smashburger is very topping filled. If you are craving more meat, I recommend the double beef all in all yummy food for the price. service was nice and friendly.

Was impressed with their reasonably priced considering we were in the grove. Small location and order is on the screens, so the down side was that there really wasn't anyone available for face to face service. Food is given around the side window. Only got nuggets, but they were huge and pretty good. Will have to go back to try more stuff.

Great value and delicious. We had the classic Chuggie, frita royale and shaker fries. Everything was tasty and fast. Enjoyed the mojo ketchup and pickled onions on the frita.

Burger was under cooked and the soda is awful, not sure what is it with these trendy restaurants refusing to sign deals with coke or pepsi

We ordered a variety of bagel sandwiches and also some latkes and coffee and everything was delicious! Our food came out quickly and we found seating outside around the corner. What they make is interesting and delicious. Plus one or two classic bagels mixed in too. I tried the King Guava, and it was super yummy. The guava flavor really came through, and the cream cheese paired really well with it. I will say the egg was kind of hard to detect, but the potato crisps had the best crunch. The bagel itself also had a really good chew to it. I can't attest to how it would stack up to a New York style bagel, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. The price point for this place is a pretty decent. And the bagel itself is a pretty filling breakfast. I will definitely be coming back here to get my bagel fix. Also important to note, I have at times seen a long line here, but when I came in right when they opened on Monday morning, there weren't that many people there and it only took 10 min to order and get our order. But I can see how this would change if it was really busy

Genuinely one of the best dining experiences, thanks to our server Kat! My boyfriend made a Tuesday…read more5:30pm reservation and we stayed for about an hour. I couldn't believe the restaurant was empty except for us the entire time - they deserve more hype! You enter through the first floor and walk upstairs to the beautifully decorated dining area. What we ordered: *Oyster mushrooms (9.2/10) - although a pinch saltier than I would have liked, the potato miso cream was to dieeee for. Mushrooms were flavorful and cooked perfectly. *Smoked coconut rice (8/10) - my bf liked this a lot more than I did but I still thought it was tasty! The saffron custard was unique and paired well with the grilled colossal crab. Little bits of trout roe were the perfect visual & textural touch. However, we both agreed that something was slightly "off" about the rice; almost reminding us of instant microwaveable rice for some reason, but we couldn't put a finger to exactly why. *Ravioli (10/10) - who knew hazelnuts, caramelized onion, and piave cheese go so well together? No complaints about this dish. It was plated nicely and a delight to eat. Kat walked us through their natural & biodynamic wine selection, as well as every dish as it came out. What stood out about her was how professional, kind, helpful, and conversational she was! Kat also let us try the sparkling Bisson wine, which was perfectly light and refreshing (hints of green apple). The meal ended with two warm herbal-infused towels for us to wipe our hands with. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, and we tipped extra because of how lovely the service was. I would love to come back and try their brunch menu (the pear french toast looks divine)!!

Krus Kitchen is a local gem. The presentation, the flavors, the utmost care they take of each plate…read moreis phenomenal. The restaurant is small and yes, it's definitely on a higher price range but this place is for experience. It doesn't cater to a specific cuisine and takes inspiration from everything. It's on a really busy street in Coconut Grove with a high competition from so many restaurants around and this place stands out. I went on a Sunday early dinner. Only a couple of tables were occupied. It's on the floor above Los Felix and you actually have to go through that Mexican restaurant to take stairs to Krus. But as soon as you step in, the vibe changes completely. Floor to ceiling wine racks, cozy lights and an open kitchen make this place trendy rather than a quiet classic restaurant. I felt the volume could be reduced a bit to make it even more comfortable to have a date night conversation. I had read about the smoked coconut rice but when it came out it was nothing like I ever experienced. It's a very delicate sweetness added to basmati rice and a slight juicy crunch from the trout that brought the flavor out of the crab meat. The saffron custard added a creamy layer to smooth it out. Ravioli was filled with Italian cheese and tossed with a tonne of hazel nuts. There was a slight drizzle of chimichuri as well but the flavor that was strongly coming from was the thyme oil. For dessert I initially was going for Parsnip sundae but after the amount of hazelnut I ate for entree, I wanted to try a different flavor. My waiter, Kat suggested the burrata ice cream and it had black garlic I never tried before. It had an umami flavor and that was a unique taste for me. The butter cookie was salty and it reminded me a bit of peanut butter cookie. But without the crunch. Surprisingly the milk merengue was crunchy. The host, my server(Kat) and the rest of the staff did an amazing job explaining each dish and allowed me to really get to know the dish not only before ordering but also during and after. They really cared about the experience they were giving. The plates are small but definitely not tapas style. They don't have validated parking but there is metered parking and there are garages in the area.
