Their cookies were fire. Reminded me of my childhood. Some places ruin food by doing too much but this place kept it simple and flavorful...my cup of tea. The team was delightful and polite. But after reading a few mixed reviews, my expectations kind of dropped. Some people mentioned the bread being hard and the fries overly crunchy, which made me a bit nervous going in. I walked into Chuggie's slightly skeptical because of the mixed reviews on Yelp. Honestly, I have no idea what half of these reviews are even complaining about... this place is REALLY GOOD for the price! Maybe some people were being too harsh during their beginning opening stages? The Frita Royale was juicy and full of flavor. Mojo ketchup and papitas?! Yes please! This was such a fun little gourmet play on a traditional frita. I've seen some reviews saying the burgers aren't good or taste like McDonald's burgers, but that couldn't be further from my experience. This was a fresh, well-executed, JUICYYYY $9 burger. It's refreshing because most burgers in this area are too fancy and are upwards of like $20. The Chug's sauce was fantastic also. Get the chug's sauce. The shaker fry bag was such a fun bonus. Seasoning the fries yourself and shaking the bag made the whole thing interactive, and the fries were perfectly coated. The MIA seasoning is kind of like a garlic parm seasoning while the West Coaster has Lawry's and paprika. Both were really good. The soft serve is just normal soft serve, nothing crazy, but I couldn't resist not having some with Frosted Flakes on this blistering hot Miami afternoon. I was super excited to check this place out with all the hype I've seen on social media. I was a bit underwhelmed with everything. We came on a Saturday afternoon and assumed it would be super busy. However, ordering and getting our food was quick and efficient. You order at a kiosk and they'll text you or call out your name when the food is ready. I wish there was more seating because you can't sit at sandbars tables. We got lucky and grabbed a table by the next door bbq place that hasn't opened yet so we didn't get kicked out. As for the food, I ordered the chicken sandwich which was cold and could pass for a McDonald's chicken sandwich. I was expecting something different. Because that Frita Royale was delicious, if the onions would've been sliced thinner it would've been even better. It still hit the spot, there was plenty of flavor in the frita. Chuggies opened about two months ago and I believe since then I have enjoyed the food there at least half a dozen times. This spot is so cute - it's giving nostalgia, simplicity, and value in a time where many things in Miami are overly curated, expensive, and unoriginal. Another addition to the Ariete hospitality group- this spot hit the inner child in me. Growing up, I was never allowed to eat fast food - which is part of the reason I think as an adult I absolutely love it. Each week though, in secret, my Tia would take me to get Mcdonalds after school. It was a delight, and something about a visit or order at Chuggie's gives me that same joy as elementary school Di picking up her happy meal. My happy meal twenty years later now looks like a dirty cold af martini from Mae's next door, and a double OG with fries. PRO TIP you can order from the bar at Mae's and eat Chuggie's there. You can also eat on fuller street. DO NOT skip the honey mustard. It's made in house and I do believe has surpassed my beloved honey mustard from LoKal. I've tried most things on the menu - the nuggets are made with real chicken and you can tell. I've also had the mimi's sandwich and chicken chuggie. This menu's appreciation for duke's mayo speaks to my soul. I need to try the cookies which are giving OG Fall's Mrs field's vibes (IYKYK) and the shakes. Doing simple, afforable fast food is something I appreciate, but what I love most about Chuggie's is that it's a spot the Grove needed. It's a spot to hang that is no frills, no stress, and always a vibe. Fuller street is really shaping up to be a reflection of all the true Miami Millennials born and raised on late nights at Moe's, Cudas, Tavern etc but all grown up. I was finally able to try out one of the Grove's newest burger spots. Chuggie's serves a small menu of burgers, fries, drinks and ice cream. It's got an old school vibe which is very nice to see amongst so many changes the Grove has experienced in recent years. I ordered the Frita which was good but the sauce made the bread a little too soggy for my taste. My favorite thing was the seasoned fries in a bag. I love that you can grab them and go! Great quick lunch spot in the grove! Went on a Friday and didn't have to wait too long for my food. They make ordering easy by having a self checkout. Their menu is pretty straightforward so ordering was easy. I got the OG and it was really good. I didn't realize the onions came crispy so it was a nice surprise. Their fries were super crunchy and freshly made. I got the small and it was the perfect size for one person. They make ordering merchandise easy too, I ended up getting a smiley face pin for $1. This spot is so cute! You can take your dogs or just a chill hang out spot there are tables outside and there's the cute photobooth. If it's like a weekend or Friday night it does get pretty busy and hard to find a table. I usually rarely leave reviews for food places, but I just have to say that this spot represents everything that is wrong with Miami right now. The reason I rarely leave reviews is because opening a restaurant is hard enough, and I do not believe that if someone is genuinely trying their hardest to give you good food at a decent price you should put them down just because something was not right for your taste buds. I think it is good for the city to have new restaurants opening all the time and giving people new and exciting things to try. But this is very clearly not someone who is trying their best to give people decent food. At the very least they have decent prices, but I cannot think of anyone who has ever had an actual frita that would enjoy this place. I am honestly pretty frustrated because I came here after watching a Mr. Eats305 review, and he is usually pretty on the money, but this place was just objectively bad. I ordered a cheeseburger, a frita, fries, and a drink. I was excited for the frita because I thought it would be cool to have a new and aesthetically pleasing place for people to try fritas, but now I realize why they say if it is not broke, do not fix it. Compared to El Rey de las Fritas, this frita was plain, flavorless, slightly burnt on top, and lacked everything that makes a frita a frita. The cheeseburger tasted like the type of frozen burger you would get at an amusement park stand. The chug sauce was pretty good, but honestly, I have never disliked a burger sauce. The fries were fries, nothing to complain about, and the option to add seasoning and shake it in the bag is nice, but I cannot say I will ever go back or recommend anyone go considering how trash their burgers are. read more

Pickup notification text message came, I walked to the window to pick up amd.thats that! We scored bench seating in the small side courtyard (?) area, it was kinda busy there so be warned about finding seating before ordering. I see chuggies as a fast eating option perhaps more for a lunch thing vs. Other restaurants in the area? Or maybe personal choice as to what a person is in the mood for. I had high expectations coming to this place. The concept is amazing. Food was ready relatively fast. My order was 4 OG burgers , fries, a kids meal, and nuggets. Everything rounded up to about $100.. I had the O.G burger and it tasted good. However , the fries and chicken nuggets tasted the same. Not sure if they cook everything in the same oil, or the cooking oil was not good or overused. We ended up just eating the burger and some fries and throwing away the rest. I will not be coming back to this place, at least for a while. read more

It had what looked like black spots in it and it completely grossed me out. The hamburger was fine but nothing special and I wasn't a fan of the frita burger.
