Benedicts were delicious with flavorful, golden yolks. Loved that they were served straight on crisp rosti potatoes instead of a muffin. Love it when there's healthy choices (spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms) instead of just sugar and bread. Menu clearly shows gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian and vegan option. Service was friendly and attentive. Would have come back a third time but we only had two days in Auckland.

A friend recommended Chuffed and I'm so glad they did! This unassuming little restaurant provided a delightful brunch, with cozy outdoor seating and excellent service. I love that they offered both still water or sparkling for the table. I ordered the salmon benedict and it was delicious! Their menu offers gluten free as well as dairy free options. Vegetarian or vegan? They have options for you too. I ordered an Americano and it was full bodied and came in a large mug. I only wish we'd had more time in Auckland so I could come here again.

The food was fantastic!! The restaurant is a little hard to find as it is tucked away down a hallway off the main street but it is worth it. The best all around breakfast i had during our 3 week vacation in New Z

Came here for breakfast on a Monday morning and was not disappointed. We were able to be seated immediately in their gorgeous patio and service was prompt and friendly. We started off with a round of different types of coffees, all of which were delicious. we ordered a pretty diverse Items menu, and everything fresh and tasty and seasoned. We left very pleased and would definitely recommend this place. I do have to knock off a star because they were out of several of their main menu items, and our waitress wasn't sure which things were out or which components they didn't have.

Located on High Street, we almost walked right past it! I was looking for the restaurant from the street front, but its kinda tucked in. Luckily there is a sidewalk sign outside letting you know its here! The Grub. Big Breaky ($27) This is definitely a big boy! It comes with literally everything :D Two eggs, bacon, mushrooms, pork sausage, potato, smashed pumpkin on toast, roasted tomatoe, whipped feta on sourdough Eggs Benny with Mushrooms ($24) served on brioche and topped with a poached egg and smothered in hollandaise sauce and a side of kale and your choice of either bacon, salmon or mushrooms. Overall great breakfast and way to start the day in Auckland :)

Smashed Burger

Great little hidden spot, excellent food worth waiting for. Our first stop in Auckland, busy, but the wait was 5". The revers were great, the vibe was very relaxed and the outdoor patio was perfect-beautiful, with a great breeze. The macchiato and lattes were perfect for our jet lagged crew. The smashed burger and the maple chicken, with truffle fries were both excellent, very flavorful and served with just the right amount of sauce. Will definitely stop back to sample something else off the menu.

Great morning spot on our first day in Auckland. The coffee was really good. We were able to sit outside and the ambiance was relaxing and clean. The service was prompt and our orders were accurate. Would definitely recommend this place and will consider going back on our return flight.

Eggs Benedicts with Salmon, Bacon or Mushroom

A Fantastic spot for brunch or coffee in the heart of the city. This place has delicious food and while I often get an eggs benedict at cafes I'm also a fan of the sweet crumpets here. There is more seating hidden away in the back of this place with cool street art on view and paintings of birds on the walls, but it is a popular spot and it is still fairly small so there can be a wait time before getting a table on weekends. Staff are friendly and helpful though so they're usually able to tell you how long you'll have to wait.

Such a lovely place. Juices were fresh and tasty. Coffee was delicious, and the breakfast was amazing. My friend and I both ordered the same meal. The eggs were cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back. The service was friendly.

Rye with poached eggs and a side of bacon.

I wanted this place to live up to the hype of all the great things I heard, but was not super excited about the portion sizes and overall service. However, everything did taste fairly good. Firstly, the seating space is adorable, at the back of the cafe, hidden away nicely from the buzzing outside activities. The menu is small enough to not confuse. It was very busy for my entire visit around lunch time. I ordered the rye bread with poached eggs, and a side of bacon(costs additional $$). I opted for a flat white for coffee. I was given sparkling water throughout my visit. The service was very slow, and when the food arrived I was a little disappointed primarily by the portion size given the price of the food(maybe serve in a smaller plate so that the eyes are deceived!!). The actual taste of the food did make up for the overall price though. The coffee was also spot on in flavor. This place is a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle with tasty food, but the prices would keep me from being a regular. Would definitely stop by as a coffee regular though!

A great little cafe nestled on the shore in front of the yachts at Westhaven Marina, I've always…read morebeen a fan of Bill Fish. I'm down there at least once a week with my dragonboat team training, and am always greeted with a smile when I grab my (excellent) coffee. The food is pretty awesome too, fresh fresh fish and a great breakfast menu to enjoy while the sun rises over the gently swaying masts, it's a great place to spend a morning. Nice and quiet too, away from any other bars and restaurants, good little secret here

The location is lovely - looking out over the water at all those boats. Beautiful on a stunning Auckland summer day. ... But the food is just average. I ordered bacon and eggs on ciabatta. And while you can't exactly screw that up, you can make it pretty average - which is exactly what this place did. The bacon was terrible quality, it was covered in fat and it came out looking horrible on the plate, just dumped on the side. My poached eggs hadn't been drained properly and were watery tasting as well, so that made the bread taste awful. The bread wasn't well toasted, it was somewhere in between... I just don't get it. I could have got better at home, and I wouldn't have paid $18 for it. The muesli that my friends ordered was bland and didn't come with any yoghurt, so it looked dry as anything. Coffee was average, it wasn't disgusting but it wasn't great. It's just... pretty average. It seem clearly to me that this is a place that relies solely on its location.

My wife and I saw that this place had a mediocre review, so we decided to brave it. Needless to…read moresay, it was sooooo worth it. As you can see with the photos, Dirty Laundry does not follow its namesake; it has a clean, crisp and hip interior and a pretty nice patio area. We had an awesome waitress that was more than obliging when we asked to charge our phones and requested a wifi code. We decided to go with the Smashed Avo. Stellar choice; eggs were cooked perfectly, chilli oil and hummus were both a nice and subtle touch. We also had the breakfast tacos. The salsa that was on the side was so tasty; we were bummed when it was all gone! For drinks, we had an espresso and mimosa and there were no complaints there. Both drinks were fresh. We got away from Dirty Laundry with 3 entrees, an espresso and mimosa for close to $40 USD. Not too shabby! Please, if you are on a cruise stop and don't want to travel far from the pier, check this place out. Overall: 5 Venue: 5 Service: 5 Food: 5 Drinks: 5 Price: $$

Our server was super sweet and attentive until we placed our orders. We never saw her again, no mention she was leaving for the day (I could see her inside on her cell phone and changed with a backpack). Our food was delivered and the other server didn't seem to notice (or care) that our water glasses were empty, as I found out that she too were on her way out of work. We didn't get water refills until the check came, in which is was a third server and then it took probably 2mins for her to run our card because she was busy setting tables and chatting with coworkers. The food here was amazing and filling- large portions, but the Mac n cheese was disappointing. I would give this 4 stars, but due to the fact that the servers are more interested in going home and chatting with coworkers than taking care of their guests (at one point we were the only table in the whole place and still couldn't get a water refill), this place is getting only 2 stars. It's got potential if it gets new staff.
