The owner and our server were so kind and provided some of the best hospitality you can find. They really took their time with us, and on top of that, the food was amazing, especially the potatoes! I would give 5 stars, but there was a small misunderstanding when it came to payment because we had such a large group. Overall though, the experience was amazing, and I would definitely recommend this place.

We got there close to closing time and while most places would be upset that we were coming in, they were super kind and accommodating. I had the two meat plate with ribs and sausage. My sides were potato salad, and green beans. My wife had the one meat plate with pulled pork and her sides were corn and green beans. Both of my kids had the child's plate with corn and brisket. We all loved what we ordered. As I was paying, I met the owner and he was so personable. If you are in the Lawton area and are craving some barbecue, this is the place to go.

There are things here that could be picked apart however, you would have to be mad at Life to do it. The staff is amazing, bartenders are legitimate mixologists. The drinks are big, a gud selection of Mexican beers and the food is the reason this place is packed. Even tho they are busy i got my beer right away. Just saw the bartender checking the temp of a beer before serving. Food came out hot and delicious. Got the big burrito (took home half), to go'd the poco loco (bc everybody needs gud leftovers) it was all perfect. Dania was the best server I've had in a while, she may have gotten an assist from the lady next to me bc when I accidentally dropped my lime, trying to squeeze it into my Victoria (ugh!) the next time she came back around I she gave me another lime wo my asking. The attention to detail here is next level, pay attention, you'll see it. My experience makes me wish I did not live 4 hours away. I would be a regular. Trigger warning, they allow smoking in the bar, that's not my thing so it was a little offputting, just make sure you get a seat where you can be comfortable. Pro tip: it's on the backside of the mall

My mom has dementia and she has a hard time making decisions, even about what she wants to eat. We ordered a grilled onion burger with all the toppings ( they were pretty scarce), onion rings, a chicken fried steak dinner with okra, and the burrito platter. They were out of chips and salsa for the burrito plate, but that was OK because I didn't need to eat the extra food. The burrito was pretty good. The onion rings were a little weird? Maybe overcooked? Not sure. The chicken fried steak was pretty good, but the okra tasted much like the onion rings. My friend thought maybe the grease that those things were fried and needed to be changed out. Possibly. None of this was a deterrent. Would definitely come by again if I'm ever in the area. !

We were the only ones in there except for an older couple that was finishing up eating. We ordered chopped brisket sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich. After we ordered someone came out and said they were out of chicken.....so my husband who isn't supposed to eat red meat had to settle for brisket. Once it came out the meat wasn't even warm! And the buns were soaked in grease. My husbands salad came out in a paper dixi bowl. Just extremely disappointed in the quality here. The other smokin joes definitely have this one beat in every single area. I can say we don't have any good comments and hope that someone in management sees this and helps these people do better. We have had better service a good in a fast food chain. Don't waste hard money on this location.
