Visited on my 3 year old granddaughter's birthday. Arrived around 5. Place was busy, but there were plenty of tables available. Few of the games are intended for kids her age, but she knew it was a special place for kids and she loved it. Only food I had was buffalo wings. They were good. Having not set foot in a CEC since my son was his daughter's age, things have changed. One thing I appreciated was that they seem to be very careful about making sure kids leave with whom they entered. I don't remember that from yesteryear. read more

This is the type of place where you know what you're going to get. After obtaining our hand stamps, we attempted to order food. The fist employee may have been new and therefore a little overwhelmed but she was completely unenthusiastic and seemed put upon that we wanted to spend money here. While we we ordering, someone dropped a salad on the tile. Three different employees saw or were made aware of the spill but walked by it without putting out a sign or indicating it would be cleaned up. Within a couple minutes the spill was cleaned but it was lunch time with lots of people walking over the spill. The second employee we encountered was equally unenthusiastic but accurately recorded our order. The pizza was delivered within about 15 minutes (good) and the quality was on par with this establishment - not great but not bad. The salad bar was well-stocked and the staff kept the area clean throughout the lunch hour. The other employees were polite but uninterested in our enjoyment or willingness to spend more money here. Ho hum. Employee attitude would've easily bumped the rating to 3 stars. read more

Good rain day for kid outing. They recently Dec 2010 rennovated it. It's a huge open layout. Half is for parties. The other half open seating. They check you in at the door for safety. Love this as if your child gets lots they can't get out. As for the open seating they take you to a table which you have for 2 hours. You dont have to stress to look around for a table. Food prices are high. GO ONLINE TO GET A COUPON. $7.00 for a small personal pizza, $7.00 for salad bar and $2.00 for kid unlimited drinks. They have coupons for $20-22 for 1 large pizza and a few drinks and atleast 30 tokens. The games are age appropriate. This is perfect for 5 years as they can manage the games on their own. For toddlers there is a smaller area to enjoy. Surprisenly the food even though expensive is not that bad so if you get the coupon deal it's worth it for a rainy day with the kids. Week days are not so busy. After 2:00 pm on weekends gets really busy...and loud. Tickets- you can win tons of tickets are certain games which many parents will play the game to win tickets for their kids...whatever. Once you win tickets you take them to a machine to recycle them and print a receipt with the number of tickets you have- perfect. Prizes for 100 worth of tickets (average for a 5 yr old playing on his own) can get you a $1 toy but atleast there are a few selections. read more

It was overwhelming on the weekend. We only went for a birthday but it was decent. I definitely played a little bit with my son. Not sure how I felt about the play cards at first but it was cool once I got the wrist band for my 5yr old so he could play without my help. Chuck E. Cheese is nothing like it used to be. The salad bar looked super contaminated, all the puppets on stage do is blink their eyes (where's the musical show?), they use cards instead of tokens now, the prizes aren't worth the amount of tickets, the few ticket counting machines they have kept breaking down, and the super "tough" security guard was marching around like he was ready to arrest a little kid. Like really dude, its Chuck E. Cheese, not a prison yard. We won't be back for a long while. The pizza was OK, best part of the experience. read more

Not a bad place. A little loud and crowded, but they've repaired more of the machines and I would say a good 95% are operational.

Fairfield is one of the nicest Chuck e cheeses we've been to. They keep it clean and are helpful if a machine goes down. They still use coins whereas some of the others use the card now but you can still redeem for prizes the same. We always save up so my son can get a big prize. I love their cinnamon pizza read more

Gaved it 4 stars because of how unclean it was. I understand that theres kids running around and it's kinda inevitable but at least have a staff or two overseeing the cleanliness of the place. Maybe have hand sanitizer dispensers in every corner would be great. Either than that. This place is great. Good pizza and soft drinks can't complain at all. read more

Lot's of space, which is good for a Chuck E Cheese. I'm unimpressed with the new Chuck E Cheese on Fitzgerald in Pinole (really, it's El Sobrante) Can't complain about this one though! Was very disappointed with this particular Chuck E. Cheese's. The food was ok, nothing special, but same as all the other Chuck E. Cheese's. What I was really disappointed with were the games. So many games would just eat the tokens and not turn on. Or, say the kid wins 6 tickets, and the machine doesn't print any. What's up with that?? Really needs some fixing. Also, no play structures, which really sucks. The only way kids will have fun is when the parent just keeps on buying tokens. My son loves this place, so I will probably continue to bring him. I'm not a huge fan of this specific Chuck E. Cheese location. I feel like I'm constantly losing tokens on unreliable machines and many of the machines are broken down too which is frustrating because there aren't that many games to begin with. After some training today, I got out a bit late for lunch @ 1245 on a Tuesday afternoon. For a lark, I thought I'd check out the Pizza/Salad Bar here. Well...two steps, just two regular sized steps into this establishment and I was overwhelmed with the stench of URINE!!! OMG...how disgusting and....WHY?!!! I'd come this far so I thought I might as well check things out. There were probably 12 kids running hither and yon and 6 or so adults. The salad bar was well-stocked but it looked rather plastic...like it'd been set up very early that morning and definitely untouched. I saw a sign that said $8.95 All You Can Eat Salad Bar! Wow! I looked around and saw no pizza or any place that might be set aside for it to be set. It was not that good of a salad bar to even think about it and I didn't even bother to ask if pizza was somehow included, like other pizza chain restaurants. I just left. I work in healthcare and am not unfamiliar with the odor. It's just so CLOSE to where people are eating. I also have dogs and, well, I just know it would take a LOT of urine to make it so strong. The employees at this location are not friendly at all . I came into contact with numerous employees and not one greeted or smiled at all . The air conditioning is not very good , it was very hot outside and pretty hot inside . There are alot of games that are broken. I would say a good 30 % of the games did not work at all . I was pleasantly surprised when we came here, due to the negative reviews. It was clean, the pizza was good (a tad greasy, but about the same quality as Little Cesar's) and the games were modern. I didn't expect so many cool games with TV screens! We came on a Thursday night; there weren't too many people, and my 4 yr old daughter had a good time. They have ticket counting machines that make a munching sound when you give it your tickets. There are also music videos playing at the main stage, with the creepy animatronic nightmare bait animal characters standing there just looking around. When they finally make it around to looking at you, it's like they're looking right into your soul. The staff was attentive, and helped us with a broken machine; they wear red shirts. The tables were clean. Overall, a good time. The only real bummer was the lack of beer/wine for the parents to really enjoy the quaint atmosphere. read more

Pizza is better than I thought, not great and not horrible. Lots of the games are broken, don't give correct ticket. Prizes to redeem tickets are way too many tickets, 600 tickets get you a tiny ball. This place needs to lower ticket amount for prizes. The kids love this place. Way too crowded if all birthday tables are booked. Also Chuck E Cheese only came out once in three hours. Staff are all friendly and helpful. read more

Been coming here since I was a kid & it really hasn't changed...except for the tubes & ball pit they removed. This location really needs some upgrades. A lot of the rides are out of order or jerry-rigged. The games still take tokens, compared to newer locations who use cards. But all the games & rides are only one token so that's a plus! The place is usually jam packed on the weekends & most evenings. The pizza is delicious! My favorite pizza ever! Salad bar is average. Price is a little steep...1 large (1 topping) pizza, 2 drinks, 1 salad plate, & 20 tokens cost us almost $40. Cool just to get out & let the babe run around though. read more

I know I know, kinda lame going to Chuck E. Cheese. I couldn't decide between here or scandia. It was hot and the bf and I were bored. We actually only sent $20.00 on tokens. And it lasted a long time. I think that's because we are older and wiser now and know which machines to pick. Chuck E. Cheese is still the same. Some of the games are a total waste of money and some don't even work. But I found myself checking for tokens in the coin return just like I did when I was younger and lucked out on about 6 tokens. Sorry kids. I had a good time for about an hour and a half then I was over it. Fun to go back in time and play some games. Skee ball is my favorite. By the way now you can exchange your tickets through an automated machine and you receive a paper slip instead of the person counting in behind the counter. We paid close to $200 for my daughters 2nd birthday party for her, her sister, and 4 cousins. We paid EXTRA for the all you can play pass for yes even the birthday girl who is yes 2. Being that she is 2 years old I would expect that she got the unlimited play pass for it being her birthday. Then we had to pay $1 EXTRA for each bracelet to give to the kids so they can keep their play pass on their wrist. When I first paid for the all you can play pass for 2 hours for EACH kid I was told we could pause them at stations when it was time to eat pizza, cake and for Chuck E Cheese to stop by the table. Well this location had not been trained by "corporate" so they could not honor this. So basically a 30 minute period was wasted while the kids ate and had cake. So instead of them visiting with the birthday girl they ran off to make use of their 2 hour time. Very poor customer experience when it should be happy and fun for the whole family. The birthday cake also looked like it was previously frozen as it was sweating and slightly gummy oh and Chuck E Cheese does not supply candles? I called 5x and left messages prior to our birthday party and asked for call backs each time and never received even one. I think this location could have and should have done more for the overall customer experience. We sat for 10 minutes past our scheduled party time waiting for our hostess to arrive. This is my first time being in Chuck E Cheese's. Its pretty cool if you are a kid in heart. This specific one is pretty new & big. They had DDR & basketball hoops for the older kids. And all they're games only needed 1 coin, even the more in demand ones. The food is okay, don't expect anything gourmet. We visit this location often. My son is obsessed with Chuck E. Our visit on Monday, December 4th was the worst so far. We're used to Chuck E not showing up every hour (even though its advertised as such). However, this was far worse. Chuck E. came out to the floor at 4:30 to address a paid birthday party. He was there for two minutes & proceeded to leave the floor. None of the other kids in the building were addressed, there was no dance, throwing of tickets, etc. To make matters worse, the person dressed up removed the "head" right after entering the kitchen. We quickly diverted our sons attention, as he was watching Chuck E. walk away, upset that he didn't come out to see everyone. It was my son's birthday, to boot. I guess you only get a Chuck E. high five if you pay for a party. This is unacceptable and lacks professionalism. These children believe in the fantasy and this employee almost ruined it for my son. read more

PROS: Everything is only 1 token to play! CONS: Selection of games aren't as great as I remember them to be. Overall Chuck E Cheese still is a great place to the let the little ones run wild at rather than in your home where they demolish everything. Surprisingly things seem pretty clean. *Knocking on wood*..after all of our visits my daughter has yet to come down with coodies contracted from Chuck E Cheese. The food is pricey but that's expected. That's how they get you dangit! Notice to all parents.. sign up online and they'll send you additional token saver coupons in addition to meal coupons.
