I've always been going to Chuck E Cheese when I was younger, and it was the best time of my life. Now I'm 14. But i'm pretty pissed that the animatronics are gone. They were a big part of my life. The games are rigged, one is glitched to where you get unlimited tickets. So basically, 2 stars, could have been better. :( 1. No Animatronics AT ALL. GONE. 2. Games are rigged. 3. The prizes are too expensive. 4. Pizza doesn't taste really good.

Train ride. It goes slowly around a small track but my guys loved it.

Tom Terrific here with another honest business review…read more My brother heard about this place and was aching to go there. He has his own Jumbo pinball machine in his home and he's really into it. So am I, so we stopped in a few days after Christmas. Admission on that Sunday was $20 per person. I was stunned by how many people were there. Male and a surprising number of females. Whole families with little kids were having a blast. It's a huge place with many hundreds of machines, most of which are pinball. They have gun shooting machines, the pac man type machines and my favorite the baseball games where this flapper rises up and a pinball shoots out and you whack it with the bat using your flipper control. My favorite pinball was the Twilight Zone. It gave me lots of time to bang that ball around and it had all the bells, whistles and lights I love. Many times in the 2 and a half hours we were there I'd just go from one machine to the next one all down the line. What fun! The men's restroom was medium size, easy to find in the rear and clean. I was surprised to find that they have a great concession court. It had lots of tables, chairs and napkins. There was a TV showing football. The biggest surprise was the quality of the food. My $3.50 hot dog was all beef on a fresh bun and there were all the condiments, even relish in packets. The food staff wore latex gloves and all of them were neat, clean and wholesome looking. I refuse to eat at any place that hires people with what we in Tampa call snot rings that go into their septum and hang down to their lips. UGH. Get the hell out of here. Not for me. Very unsanitary. I complimented the staff on their food and they thanked me. I noticed that they had quantity control. The french fries were made to order and they came out of a small sandwich bag that I assume was weighed for a consistent number of fries. You don't see that everywhere. I checked the counters and the floor of the kitchen and the entire place - it was clean and the floors appeared freshly mopped. A+ Past Times also had decorations and photos on the walls and my brother knew who the old men were that were depicted there. The walls honored the pioneers of pinball, a very appropriate thing to do. The entire staff and management was very kind as we asked questions and I got my picture taken with the white board stating I was Tom Terrific from Tampa, Florida. My brother said there may be only one pinball arcade that was larger and it resides in Los Angeles. I loved Past Times and it seems like so did all the other people. I highly recommend it for a date, a great family night out or even as a solo venture. Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Past Times - 5 Stars !

HO. LEE. SHE. IT…read more It took me a while to get here, but I've just been to the best arcade in Ohio. Past Times Arcade is absolutely fantastic. Maybe, just maybe, it's the best arcade that I've been to in the last 40 years! PTA has the largest "open to the public" selection of pinball machines that I've ever seen...this includes the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas and both of the big venues in Pittsburgh. There might be occasional pinball expos, and private collections, where more games are on display...but these are usually not open year round. Rare and cool AF games are everywhere! There are tables from 5, maybe 6, continents! Tables from "every" era in pinball history are represented, IN LARGE NUMBERS, at PTA! And critically, almost all of the games are playable AND are in GREAT CONDITION! I'm not sure how the owner and his team keep this many tables in such good condition, but somehow, it is the case. How about video games? You bet! PTA has over 200 of these. Selection? Lots of rare games and almost all the blockbusters as well. Are they in good condition? Yep. Less than 5 were not operational. Not a single game (that I played) had an issue with the controls or the screen. Amazing. Also cool: There is a fair number (50ish?) of pre-transistor electromechanical games. Many of these were operational, but many, (such a Sega's Periscope) were, unfortunately, not up and running. Still though, it was nostalgic and (maybe even a little) heart warming to see them again. The games are set on "Free Play;" you pay 20 bucks to play all day. You get a wrist band and you can come and go as you please. If you're a kid, it's cheaper. If you're a veteran or a first responder, it's cheaper. Food? Yes. I admit that I didn't eat anything, but the kitchen and diner area sure smelled good! It was also amazing how clean PTA was, even the crapper was spotless. Booze? Yes. I didn't drink but the selection of canned adult beverages looked pretty extensive. Bottom line: I've been to some of the biggest and best arcades (and coin op museums) in the country. Past Times Arcade just might be the best. No shit. 5 Stars.

Came to a party here for my friends kid and was so amazed that a place like this exists in Erie!…read moreShocked to read a review like the last one, as it was nowhere near the experience we had. The facility was clean and bright, with plenty of toys and game options. I was bummed that no adults were allowed in the bounce house equipment, but honestly I get it - safety first. The owner and manager helped make invites which was super cute and helpful, every parent came in to make sure their waiver was signed because of it - which was one less stress for my friend throwing her kid's party to worry about! Again it's sad to see someone had such an experience that it warranted a review like that, then again using the word Tyrant (like a lot) to describe a manager reminding kids of rules for their safety hardly qualifies. ‍ So here's the opposing view, if you want a safe, fun, and unique experience for your kids birthday this is it! Don't take my word for it, I snapped some fun pics of the kids playing that speaks for itself :)

Was at this place on 4/8 for my great niece's birthday party. The overall experience was BAD!!!!…read moreSeveral issues arose during this day. 1. The employees were late! The party package is supposed to include time to set up, read about it on their website. The owner/manager had to be contacted several times prior to the party before anyone arrived. NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES THAT SHOWED UP APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR TARDINESS. 2. When one of the employees arrived she zipped into the parking lot quickly and came extremely close to hitting some of the kids, my son included. 3. Ladies restroom smelled like poopie diapers and the trash can was near full so this could have been prevented simply by emptying the trash the night before. 4. The manager was a tyrant!!! Instead of politely pointing out that rules were not being followed to her liking she was snappy. "I told you, only one person on the trampoline" as opposed to please remember the rule about one person on the trampoline at a time. 5. This point really made me angry: the manager was soliciting the children. My son and nephew were playing with a ball and the tyrant woman took the ball and called the boys over to her. The tyrant then proceeded to talk to them about signing up for their special event that has something to do with Ninja Warrior which is a $40 event. Both boys told her they weren't interested, in a way that a 9-year old and 7-year could. My son also asked her multiple times for the ball back and she didn't give it back to them until my husband stepped in. Apparently my child and nephew were not the only ones this tyrant woman was soliciting, my niece advised me that some other adults/parents saw this also. 6. While my great niece was opening her gifts the manager was hovering around like she was expecting something. 7. We were ushered out before the full 2 hour party was up, remember point #1 about the employees being late. I no longer live in Erie and traveled 3.5 hours for this disaster. I would give 1/2 star if I could based on this experience. Be careful taking your kids here because of the tyrant manager she will do everything in her power to make sure your experience is a bad one.

There were 15 machines not working, some with signs, some that just took your money. Our last time there was in July and there were 12-13 machines Out of Order then. Every machine that was out of order in July was still out of order at the end of December! It is mind blowing to me that 5 (almost 6) months later none of the machines had been fixed or were broken again. All these machines that do not work and then the fact that admission went up since summer. Charging more but yet not maintaining any of the games is just poor business. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well. The girl working acted like we were bothering her when we told her a machine wasn't working and even after being told of malfunction she didn't mark the machine out of order. Getting tickets replenished on one of the few working games also seemed like an inconvenience to the workers. We used to love this place but it has drastically gone downhill!

In this room there's a large inflatable that you try to run up as high as you can, an inflatable basketball area, and another large inflatable slide, plus a "wind tunnel" machine that makes hurricane strength winds, as well as some air hockey tables. After the kids are all played out, they are brought to the party room, where the staff handles dishing out pizza and cupcakes and pouring drinks, cleaning everything up, and helping the birthday child get and open the presents. They then handle all of the cleanup, and load all the presents neatly onto a cart and help you get everything out to your car! They do everything but drive you home! They also have a slideshow playing in the party room of all pictures from that day of everyone playing, and you have the option to purchase it. This makes the birthday process easy and care free. Pay the money so you can actually sit back and enjoy the party!
