I can't say enough about how glad I was that my husband found this place. A Groupon brought us here, but the delicious mead will bring us back. I will admit that I was a little wary about the location, tucked away in an industrial park...but the minute I walked in, I could tell this was a place I could get comfortable and hang out. We got two flights of 5 samples each ...and enjoyed every single drink. My favorite was "Freckles" and my husbands favorite was "Mike Browne" (so much so he went back for more -4 times!) Full disclosure - we left to go to a different meadery near by and then came back to Chubby Cheeks for more. We brought some bottles home. Oh! Also Chubby Cheeks Eatery provided amazingly crisp, yummy fries to eat while we were drinking. Nom nom read more

Amazing hosts and very good mead! Its a very warm and welcoming environment with board games and free candy and free wifi The mead was also very good and my friends and I had a couple of flights My friends really liked Freckles, Sweet P, and I enjoyed the Lemon NK one which tasted like a lemon head The service was amazing and our host was really kind and helpful. This place has been on my to do list for months now and we finally had a chance to stop by to check it out...and it did not disappoint. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by Jason who was super friendly and accommodating. He answered all of our newbie questions and made some great recommendations on what to try. We had a groupon and we were able to try 10 different meads and ciders. They had a variety of different meads and a couple of ciders and we now have our favorites. The vibe here is totally chill and the place is kid & pet friendly. They offer a few different food options but you can also bring in outside food, if you like. They even have a bunch of board games to play while you hang out and drink. If you've never had mead, I'd definitely recommend stopping by and trying a tasting flight. I'm not a big drinker because I don't like the taste of alcohol but the mead and cider options here don't have a strong alcohol taste to them. With that in mind, be careful because they catch up with you quite quickly and you'll be feeling the warm fuzzies after a few tastes. read more

Took y family here for a tasting and they enjoyed the sampling of 5 different flavors of Mead & Cider. We ordered the Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls & Bruschetta and they were REALLY good! People were friendly and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Lots of board games for families to enjoy. Love this place. Today was our third visit (from Corona) to here. Enjoyed everything we tried (well except one but who likes all 10) the mead tender is super nice and helpful as well. Plenty of seating, snacks, and free candy tehe A must visit and try! Better then local wines and not bubble like local beers. A great change of pace. read more

Checked out chubby cheeks meadery because a friend had a Groupon and we're so glad we did! Everything was reasonably priced and the mead was really good! I feel like if you have friends who like to sample new things or like sweet drinks then this is most definitely the place for you. The ambiance is super chill and they have lots of board games to play while you're there and there's ample parking (always a bonus). The service there is great. Everyone was friendly and super informative. While the food was just okay (I'd say three stars, because I was underwhelmed but it was still pretty good) the mead was excellent. We ordered the carne asada fries, regular fries, and the bruschetta. We pretty much ordered all of the meads between the four of us and two of the ciders. This place is a great experience. My first time trying mead and I'll say the flavors are awesome. Every mead flavor may not be for you but the flights are a great price and a great way to find out what flavor is for you. Very helpful in explaining and recommending flavors. Not to crowded, but a steady flow of customers coming in makes the atmosphere perfect for dates or just hanging out with friends. read more

We were looking for something to do while in Temecula on a Sunday afternoon. Looking on Groupon, we found a mead tasting in the area. We had tried mead in a couple of places in Arizona and found it to be a unique drink. This is a little place that is set back in what looks like an industrial park area. It's not the most ideal spot for a tasting room, but it has something to do with city regulations. They offered a wide variety of meads and ciders. We had two tasting flights and chose ten different flavors to try. Each one tasted completely different. It was fun trying them. We talked to the owner for awhile about how he came to open a meadery and what he enjoys about his career. I'd definitely recommend you go give them a try. They have food you can order as well, but we didn't try any of that. read more

This place is fantastic. The mead is outstanding, the staff are amazing, and the atmosphere it great. A 45 minute drive is no big deal when this is the destination. The members parties are fun with great food and music. I was so happy to see liquid courage back on the menu. This is why I am a horn club member and my wife is a chalice club member. Ample free parking. Great service. Indoor and outdoor seating (bar stools and tables). Lots of drink options and they have a good menu. We enjoyed the Traditional Mead and a few entrees (bomb mi and steak with rice bowl) with our pups outside under the tent and had a great time! People here are so friendly, they check on you even if you're eating outside. There is a restroom onsite. read more

If you've never tried mead, this is the place to start. If you've tried mead, this is the place that will make you look no further. The customer service is more like a family love. You can taste the quality in the mead and ciders they make here. The events are a blast! If you are in Temecula for brewery and wine tastings, please do not pass this spot up- you won't regret it! This place is so great. We found them through Groupon and so glad we did. We got flights and it was a good amount of drinks! We were able to choose 5 options which wasn't easy because they all looked great on the menu. The atmosphere is great here too. They have board games and video games. It's a great little hang out! First time trying Mead and I am so glad the employee warned us to take it slow. It really does hit you hard and you drink it so easily because it taste so good!! Pineapple under the sea was my favorite. They also offer very unique food items. Not many bar places serve wholesome food like rice with protein! And they even have bahn mi! We were welcomed in and given some info on mead and how they make it. Then we went over then menu and made our flight selections. From the first sip I was in love. My buddies and I had a great time. We brought our dominoes, the bar tender turned on the football game, and let us be free. We were sorta loud, and it was funny watching people watch us play as they had no idea how brothas play dominoes. Mead beer was a first for me, and the tastings were great. Funny thing, I dropped a $100 bill near the bar, and I couldn't find it. I went outside to look around, and I looked up and noticed the bar tender helping look for my money. He then approached some guys standing outside, and they gave him the $100 bill that I dropped. It's good to see that people still have integrity nowadays. I will be back. read more

Came here on a weekend with 2 friends and we had the time of our LIVES!!!! We saw this Groupon deal and had to take advantage ($7 for 6 wine tasters! WOW!). Our friend's boyfriend dropped us off there and we were greeted with really hospitable service. The wine guy explained all the different kinds of flavors (some very light and others crazy coffee bitter ones). There were even some made with nitrogen! It was a really cool experience being able to sip wine with my friends while also staying distanced outside. All the tables were distanced from each other and clean. We also were able to play some games that the place provided, such as Jenga. We weren't able to try the most of the food (except the chips which were AMAZING) but I am definitely coming back for the food and wine again! Wonderful experience!! 10/10. read more

I personally like mead more than wine, and upon my visit to Temecula, I was excited to be able to try this place! We came in during a lull, and the owner Derek was there to personally serve us. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly an excellent maker of mead. He even has a variety of fun events you can sign up for like Viking nights where they have axe throwing and turkey legs, as well as Mead-Making classes with the man himself. We went with two of the flights: the new seasonal flavors and the classics. I was a big fan of the seasonal flavors, they were sweet and crisp, and the different fruit flavors really shone through. I liked the Thor's Courage the best of the classics flight, it was a sparkling mead that tasted the most like just classic honey mead. We asked for a recommendation based on our likes, and he offered us a glass of the Golden Butter Bee Mead, and it tasted as good as it sounded. It kinda was what I think Butterbeer should taste like. We ended up taking a bottle home. He also shared with us that he started his company in 2019, right before the pandemic, and he was able to survive by using his own truck to deliver mead all over the country. If that isn't a testament to his dedication to the craft and the quality of the mead, I'm not sure what is. Batch Mead was an unplanned stop on our Temecula wine tour, as we both have an affinity for mead as…read morewell so we wanted to take a break to switch it up a bit. I could not have been more happy to have had the chance to come here! Derek is extremely friendly, and Batch Mead hosts multiple monthly events from their viking nights to their mead making courses; he is so incredibly knowledgeable in his craft, it is delightful to just sit and take the time to listen to him talk about his passion. Built into an industrial park (like many breweries today), the decor was incredibly tasteful and I really appreciated what he was able to do with the space to make it warm and welcoming, down to the glasses he used to serve the drinks. Now to the Mead itself, we ordered two taster flights as well as a glass of the Golden Butter Mead. To sum up my feelings about the entire ensemble, absolute perfection! Of all the mead I have had (which is a surprisingly large amount), Batch Mead blew my mind. If I was ever to try and describe what good mead should be, Derek's would be what I was describing to a tea. They ranged from semi-sweet to very sweet, but were all absolutely amazing and worth the drive up to Temecula alone. I will not only be returning, but this will likely become a staple in my drinking rotation!

They were having a movie night trivia when we were there; however we were too distracted by the Nintendo switch games to participate. It's bar style here - you order drinks, pick your corner or join the bar, and play board games or video games or just chill. They don't serve food, but there is a snack corner, including a selection of ramen noodles. The drinks are brewed in house, so they're on tap and are poured per order. The staffs are very friendly and efficient. Now the highlight, I absolutely love the drinks. I have a little kids tastebuds when it comes to alcohol, so I loved all the sweet options. Of the one we tried this time, my favorite were the Post Watermalone and the T.L.C. They taste like juice, which is what I prefer. They have a wide selection that offer different tastes for everyone. Besides the fresh on tap drinks, they also have the 16-oz can for take home. Personally, I love their drinks and would definitely come back occasionally, since it's a bit of a drive for me. I would love to frequent if I was closer.

I love that the owners are commited to only locally sourced apples, pears, honey, and other fruit as well as committed to showing love to "ugly" and overproduced fruit which would normally go to waste to instead help financially support farmers. This meadery and cidery is easy to get to...take the Las Posas Exit on the 78 and off of Furniture Row. There's tons of parking. Once inside, I noticed it's an intimate venue with a down-to-earth vibe. There's seating between the tasting room and outdoor patio. Importantly, the staff is very welcoming. I had a MERRY good time! Honestly, it was kind of tricky locating it based on my GPS but I found it. There was no problems with parking which was great. As compared to the outside, inside was a very pleasant surprise. I loved the decor and Nordic/Viking vibes. The friendly guy behind the counter was really helpful in my decision to go with Musashi. I took a sip and thought to myself, "Ohhh Mead INDEED!". You buy a tasting card at the counter and then you can try any six wines on their menu. Their most popular is the almond sparkling wine and they offer a variety of other flavors. We tried lots of different wines including the sauvignon blanc and petite sirah but our favorites were the different sparkling wines. It was less of a quiet wine-tasting vibe and more like a party-vibe. There were tons of people and we saw a lot of bachelorette parties. The music was loud and there was a fun social vibe. There were still some vineyards that you could walk through and take pictures, but the core of the action is where the food and drinks are. Even though it was geared toward adults I saw a lot of kids and strollers around. We spent a couple hours here drinking the different wines and relaxing at the table. It was fun to people-watch and just enjoy the experience and energy. If you are coming to Temecula Wine Country, this should be one of the places on your list to visit.

The ambiance is very chill and comfortable and the service is great. I usually start with a flight of 4 so I can sample a few meads without having to commit to a full pour. My favorites are The Lady blended with Earl Gery tea and Strawberry Fields strawberry mead. Everything I have had on tap is very tasty, I have never been disappointed here. I look forward to coming back and trying more meads.

I ordered the TV dinner with brisket, macaroni and cheese and slaw. I also ordered their lemonade, which they did not have enough of to pour me a full serving. The bartender gave me a cup with a little bit of it, and it tasted good. I ordered a sweet tea in its place and asked for lemons, but they don't have lemons. The tea came out and it was OK but seemed like it either came from concentrate or was made a couple days ago. I mixed in the bit of lemonade that I had and that was good as an Arnold Palmer. Our food came out almost immediately. My macaroni and cheese and brisket were barely warm. The macaroni and cheese had heavy Velveeta shells and cheese vibes... just OK but nothing special. The brisket had a very good flavor but was very dry. It came with barbecue sauce, but I'm not a fan of barbecue sauce so I ate it like it was. The slaw was excellent. My friend got an order of fries which were delicious, I ate a bunch of them. She also got these jalapeño peppers that were wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese and I think pulled pork. She seemed to like them a lot, but she said that she's gotten them before a few times and every time they've been different The bartender that served us was really nice, she was happy to make recommendations. I thought the interior of this business was really nicely put together. Very clean and well organized.

They even have a slushy machine that we sampled wine from. Everything was high quality. We usually order a couple of flights, and we liked everything that we had. Transcendent and Honey Lavender were our favorite meads. The owners were very friendly and the service was great. I am so happy they relocated to Vista so I can come in more often.
