I am waiting still (3 weeks now) to hear back from Liz Holling, adjustment person at Chubb.com where my claim #77142738 was filed after their insured SMASHED into my car when he decided to JUMP out of line at Starbucks to NOT get coffee. He tried to get me to let him pay me cash, but refused any medical treatments ( i had TWO chiro visits). He is/was insured by Bankers Standard Insurance company which also calls themselves Willis Personal Lines at 16220 N Scottsdale Road. #600. Which also goes by www.Chubb.com where Ms. Holling is employed. I seem to have no recourse but to call my own company and then fight this company with my company. My car was hit by someone insured by Chubb Insurance Auto (Vigilant Ins) about one month ago. I had no end of issues with Vigilant (CHUBB) and found it impossible to get them to pay attention to the addressing damages related to this claim, including approval of the claim. The police report reads clearly that the person who hit me was 100% at fault since they literally came into my lane on a four lane highway and hit the side of my car. I had to call, email and post negative reviews like this to get their attention and still NO ACTION. If you are reading this DO NOT PURCHASE auto INSURANCE FROM CHUBB (VIGILANT INSURANCE). They are a nightmare to deal with. I've tried calling the insured (the person who hit me) and he was very upset that his insurance company is so non-responsive. This is the worst insurance company. They are a total scammer, the most rotten, incompetent and corrupt insurance company that pollutes the planet. After the person covered by their travel insurance died during travel overseas and the incident was reported to them, instead of giving clear and complete instructions, they drag you on piecemeal by piecemeal. After the ID & death certificate, it is medical report. After that, they ask you to present the ID again. After that, it is toxicology report. Once you have done all of that, they stay silent. You chase them after weeks of silence, they tell you that their payment is now conditional on your having to file estate taxation report. Then you go to your tax lawyer to prepare for estate tax. Then your lawyer discovered that CHUBB didn't even register the death coverage in the national General Registry of Insurance Contracts for Death Coverage. Then CHUBB says okay we didn't register. Then they take their time under the pressure of your lawyer to register. Now you can finally file your estate tax report correctly. Once you have done that, they ask you to give them the tax payment proof. Once you have done that, they ask you to provide proof of your bank account. You think this is the final step. After you produce that, they tell you they won't accept it!! Because the standard bank statement is not written in the format they prescribed. Then you go back to the bank, who said they produced such statement to millions of customers and CHUBB was the 1st one saying it was unacceptable. The same statement was accepted by other banks / financial institutions that the estate had dealt with without any problem. You go back to your legal team again, then CHUBB makes it impossible for your legal team to speak to theirs. The whole claim process has now taken more than 1 year and CHUBB "invents" a new hurdle after every step to not pay. They are a total scammer, the most rotten, incompetent and corrupt insurance company that shamelessly pollutes this planet. They are a total disgrace, have no single thread of ethics and operate with no respect for law and people. I started an account just to get a quote to see if it was any cheaper than my current carrier and they emailed asking for access to my social media accounts because they couldn't find them. First, I don't use social media because it's toxic and because predatory dystopian companies such as this one do stuff like stalk customers. Second, what makes you think I would do business with you after you've asked for access to social media accounts? If I could give this company a zero, I would. My son had a fracture that occurred back in February of this year. After much confusion, they were finally able to find my policy. I filed my claim in May and immediately submitted the requested documentation. I contacted the customer service team several times at the end of June to obtain the status of my claim. One representative informed me that the claim had been approved and payment should be mailed. A week later, I reached out again and another representative informed me that the claim, in fact, was NOT approved. After weeks of calls, I finally received an email from my claims adjuster, Nakia, stating that the claim was approved on 07/08/2024 and that payment would be processed under a separate cover letter. I emailed the adjuster back and she stated that the payment was mailed 07/09/2024 and to give it about 7-10 business days. I even requested that she verify my address on file, as I had changed it twice previously with two other representatives. Fast forward a week, I contacted customer service again and to my surprise they informed me that a check was , in fact, NOT mailed out. They also confirmed that the address on file was still my old address despite the adjuster confirming otherwise. It is now 07/19/2024 and I requested another form of payment. To which they offered a direct deposit. To my surprise, the adjuster reached out with a consent form for me to sign, via email. I immediately returned the forms and was informed that they link would be received no later than that afternoon or Monday. The representative instructed me to contact them if I had not received it by that Monday. I attempted to reach out today, 07/24/2024, for a resolution and asked to speak with a supervisor. After waiting on hold for over 46 minutes, the representative disconnected my call. I immediately called again and after speaking with yet another representative, the call was disconnected after waiting on hold for over 37 minutes. Stay FAR AWAY from this company. I pay into this policy bi-weekly and the first time I file a claim, I have had nothing but issues. To date, there is still resolution to my claim. read more

Satan's #1 Insurance Provider I was regrettably assigned to this insurance provider via a middleman, Mexpro. After the accident, I had to wait about two months to get my car back, and when I did, it had a number of dashboard lights that hadn't previously been on, as well as a battery problem, and it wasn't running properly and would frequently shut off without warning. Chubb was informed in writing on the day of the accident that the car went dead upon impact, which is why it had to be towed. Also lacking in quality was the car's repair work. As a result, I was then forced to sell my car for practically nothing because Chubb took no responsibility and never even at least approved of me taking the car back for a diagnostic. Furthermore, they won't cover medical expenses in the US, so please pray that you don't get hurt. Just to receive medical attention for my injuries, I had to fight for about two months. Because of how long it had been since the accident and when I sought care, when I went to the clinic, they initially refused to treat me; the clinic requested that the accident date be modified on the paperwork--I've never heard of that. Then, just to get that problem solved, I had to battle again until they finally approved my medical pass. Just consider paying almost $900 for a policy, deductible included, only to encounter one of the worst scenarios. Be prepared to fight since they are very skilled at taking advantage of customers. We had taken out car insurance online through Bajabound for Mexico. Not just liability, but extended (partial comprehensive). This was supposed to cover other damages as well and was accordingly expensive. Bajabound is, however, only a kind of intermediary. The actual insurance company with which you then have the contract is Chubb. And that resulted in fatal problems for us. We had a broken windshield caused by stone chips. And then fate took its course: Reporting the damage to Chubb. Only possible by phone. As an overlander from the road, this is a challenge with and without a connection. We managed to get hold of someone from Chubb, but communication in English was difficult. I wanted to open a claim. That didn't work by phone. I asked if it was possible to do that online or by email. And yes, I got a claim email address. Great, I thought, then email straight away and report the damage, asking for confirmation of receipt. Hmm, after three days no response or confirmation. So I called Bajabound and told them that nothing had happened after I reported the damage. OK, they wanted to call them. Then I got the answer that Chubb had not received a claim report from me. Er, I sent the email I had sent to Bajabound. Chubb obviously doesn't know Bajabound's contract number. After a few days I got an answer from Chubb saying I could only report the claim by phone, email isn't possible and doesn't count. What??? I explained how it came about and that I was told to do it that way. Then I was asked to prove that I had called and then emailed. Wow, what shady people. I copied my phone history with the call number and sent it to Chubb. Then the question arose, I was no longer in Mexico. But the claim had to be submitted in Mexico. Yes, of course not in Mexico anymore, but only because no one from Chubb responded to my call and emails reporting the claim. It was all reported from Mexico. It felt like 100 emails went back and forth until I could and had to convince the Chubb people and prove the things. In the end, Chubb awarded me $170 to repair the windshield. If you think that's the end of it - haha, you're wrong. Now comes the best part. I was then given about 5 forms to print out, fill out, sign and email back. A real challenge on the road. But personal details, more car details, agreement that the €170 was covered, and finally my bank details. So, nothing should go wrong now... Then an email came. No, it can't be done, they couldn't transfer the money to my account in Germany. They can't transfer money to Germany and Canada....What??? I should open a separate account, an EUA account, for that. What??? I explained that this account can be used internationally from anywhere. All institutions from all over the world make transfers here. No, that wouldn't work. Errr... There followed a lot of email exchanges with suggestions, tips, opening your own account in the USA, using a relative's US account, who would then have to fill out all the Chubb paperwork again in her name plus provide her ID proof and send it to Chubb. All of this is not feasible, especially if you are still in Central America. Opening a US account without a permanent residence in the USA is practically impossible from, for example, El Salvador. The conclusion is: This insurance is not suitable for overlanders. Hands off! (except for US citizens with US accounts). Bajabound also shares responsibility, because they sell an insurance that basically doesn't work. A legal review of the process would be interesting to see to what extent and who has to pay compensation. read more

A Chubb insurance agent INSTRUCTED me to take the vehicle in for diagnostics and assured me that I will get reimbursed. My vehicle was damaged by a Chubb-insured customer. They were able to come to an agreement with the body shop through a local estimator. The estimator backed up the body shop. Chubb paid the claim in full, sort of. Where they could improve is in customer communication and basic execution. They were quick to communicate at the outset, identifying an individual as the contact person. They were show to communicate after that; it became my responsibility. I thought the insurance company had authorized the body shop to proceed, but it was the body shop who had to call me to be sure. They used the wrong postal mailing address, despite being corrected twice. (The Post Office was the star, delivering it between post offices and in a special run to my house, for plain old first class mail!) Emails they claimed sent never arrived. The contact person is apparently the department head, and doesn't return messages, nor do staff on her behalf. It's up to you to ask to be transferred to her staff when calling them. Maybe they are trying to save money on long distance? If it costs a buck to talk on the phone for a minute with a claimant, maybe you can save $5 on a claim by being non-responsive? When reached, they were all polite. They have an interesting convention that the check "print date" is several days after the "issue date". So they talk about the "issue date" on the phone, but not the "mail date". Their postage meter was also predated 3 weeks. This was a two star review, but now it's one because the check they canceled still went out from them after it was canceled by them! No communication. Unbelievable! I've been insured by Chubb for about a decade, maybe longer. They used to be incredible. Something happened around 2 years ago, and they've gone downhill fast. Their response times are now atrocious - expect to wait at least a week for any response at all. For my previous renewal, I kept asking why the increase was so high, and they kept waiting a week to give non-answers. Finally I called and got through to the person answering the phone - before I could even begin my question, she informed me in a very accusatory manner that my account was past due. Are you serious? I never agreed to renew, I asked questions about my renewal, you didn't answer them, and your first comment is criticizing me for not paying on time? As I said, good service for 10 years, so I decided to give them another chance. They reduced the renewal cost a little, but it was still too much. I paid it anyway. A year later, they tried to increase it a crazy amount again. I again inquired why. Again, a week or more between responses. Finally I said "nevermind, I'm finding another insurance provider". They asked me to sign a waiver that I'd never sue them before they'd process my desire to not renew. I wasn't planning on suing them, but I'm not giving up my rights for nothing. And they have no right to demand anything of me - if I don't agree to renew, that's the end of it. Several back and forths (a week in between each, of course) and they still insisted they'd renew my account unless I signed. Anyway, I sent a snail mail letter threatening to refer them to the New York State Attorney General's Office if they tried to bill me, and then they canceled the renewal. read more

I am extremely frustrated with this company. I was hit by their insured 2 weeks ago, went through the process of having the adjuster come out, sent my pictures in - their own driver is not being compliant and waited over a week to respond to them. I have been extremely helpful so we can get this claim finished and so that my car can get taken care of. I have $1,700 worth of damage to my passenger door after their driver backed into it. My car was beautiful before this damage and I want to get it back to the perfect shape it was in before this accident. This is very straight forward claim, even the adjuster that came out to inspect my car said so! I am now having to contact the store where I got hit in the parking lot to get video footage!! I was the victim here and I should not be having to go through such great lengths to prove my innocence. I have been getting the complete run around - many different people picking up the phone saying different things. The adjuster handling the claim is extremely hard to get ahold with or have anything explained. Not to mention, she does not have the best customer service when we have spoken. If I have to get my insurance or an attorney involved I will if they can't get their act together. I am extremely disappointed and feel completely taken advantage of by this company. read more

Chubb LITERALLY stole my money. Paid my "Masterpiece" policy when I closed on my home. Paid a year in advance. Paid my $6k+ premium and heard absolutely nothing from them until 10 months into the policy. They said they made an adjustment to my policy but did not notify me until 2 days before I was cancelled for "non payment". I called them immediately to get to the bottom of the increase and the Chubb representative didn't even know why they raised my premium by the amount they did(an additional $1400) They told me to contact my local agent to get to the bottom of it, I did, and they cancelled me for non-payment while working with them! Unfortunately only after purchase I realized its under Chubb. Worse, under that travel insurance, I experienced a flight delay for 24 hours. Its a straightforward claim, that's what I thought. After waiting for more than 2 weeks, still not reply from the company at all! It is the worst travel insurance company I've encountered. MSIG would have gotten back within a week. I will never purchase from this company again, and I not recommend this company to anyone. After a frustrating trip, having to claim from this insurance will make the event even more frustrating. I am very disappointed and having to take legal action since they are not fulfilling my requested loss in value that my GMC truck sustained when I was rear ended by their insured. I haven't heard anything back from these guys in 4 months after filing my claim # ACE014888, when my car was hit in the back by car that was insured by them while I was in mexico in Jan this year. Their insurance adjuster came and took photos and told me that he needs to get an acknowledgement from the other party. I provided the contact info and their insurance info as well. I was told that the other party is not returning his call and that he can't move forward with the claim. To me this is total BS, if the other party does not return the call, they should assume that the other party is liable and don't have the incentive to do so. Hi there, sharing my unfortunate experience with Chubb insurance singapore. I boarder my flight back to SG and on the flight I fainted and got food poisoning from the dinner served by the aircraft Philippine Airlines or PAL. Upon landing I immediately went to Raffles Clinic at Changi Airport for medical. To me, this should be part of post medical expenses included in my insurance. However #chubbinsurancesingapore denied my claim stating that I should be hospitalised in the foreign country then treated in Singapore so they can accept my claim. I got sick on a journey aboard the plane and obviously will not consider this as part of their medical coverage. I've requested to reconsider my situation and even after 2 weeks I still have not received a reply. Customer service is poor. I had my tractor insured with this common insurance company. I had a claim for $890.00 with a $500 deductible. Took the tractor to get window fixed first of October and still haven't got my check for $390 yet, and spent numerous hours trying to get it on the phone and email. They just hope I will let it go but I am not about to it is purely principle now. If something would have happened to the tractor that would have been a large claim I wouldn't live long enough to collect. I added it to my farm insurance and it added a total of $85 dollars a year. On Aug 32021 as I was traveling to my nephews wake who was murdered by a dollar tree employee simple for stealing a pack of $1.00 lighters. I was rear ended EXTREMELY hard by a 2019 Black Lincoln Continental which was owned by Fred Tillman who owns over 70 that's right 70 local McDonald's. After the report was taken and everyone departed ways I finally obtained a copy of the accident report 72 hours later and found that Mr. Tillman did in fact receive a ticket for FAILURE TO MAINTAIN PROPER LOOK OUT. So I contacted Chubb approx Aug 7th or 8th 2021 and I was transferred over to Seth who is the claim adjuster for the vehicle prob of the claim. IMMEDIATELY I RECEIVED UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, DEGRADING AND INTIMIDATING ATTITUDE as if I had ran into the back of Mr. Tillman. I was driving my father in law's truck and I understand that all settlements pertaining to it had to go through him, but I also know that he is older and my main priority is him and ensuring that his truck is repaired or replaced. Fast forward after calling them days which became weeks I finally get someone on the phone who states that is going to see what's going on after I explained the problem. He then stated to me that we still have to accept liability on the claim and at this point I am LIVID. Facts are facts he RAN INTO ME AND HIS HEAD WAS DOWN HE WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION AND HE RECEIVED A TICKET, ALSO NOTING THAT I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY DOCUMENTATION FROM THE POLICE OUTSIDE OF THE REPORT NUMBER BECAUSE I DID NOTHING WRONG I did inform this rep that I have been asking Seth for a rental car for my father in law since August 7,2021 and now on August 26 , 2021 I needed to speak with someone or I would be seeking an attorney. Fast forward again same day of speaking with rep "RUDE" Seth contacts me to provide the rental reservation number for Enterprise Rental Cars and then VERY AGGRESSIVELY tells me "CHUBB WILL ONLY COVER THIS RENTAL UP TO September 1 2021 I do believe. Now the problem here is if you all have a time frame on coverage after the accident happened why would you wait 6 days before the deadline to make the reservation? He then also set up for an inspector to come out and do an estimate for the truck. When the adjustor came to inspect the truck he stated that the quotes my father in law obtain on his own were to low because the damagee were well over $4500. However with this being a older model and cosmetically not the prettiest but the motor,transmission,power train and every other feature was EXCELLENT Chubb would try to lower that amount and that is understandable and I understand the principle but the inside seats, the color and all the other little tedious mentions has nothing to do with that.Statistically pick up trucks are always and always will be in high demand so the value holds better than passenger cars. And had Mr. Tillman maintained a proper lookout NEITHER one of us would be in this situation but to offer him $1500 and the option to buy back for a little over $1000. I applied for an entry level position at Chubb because I have a friend who works there and it sounded nice. She described it as insurance for rich people, which should have been a warning sign. What followed was the worst interview of my life. After meeting with a hiring manager and answering a few basic preliminary questions, she hit me with a whopper. She looked at my application and asked, "How do you think your graphic art training would apply to insurance?" Now, I went to college for Graphic Illustration in the early 90's. I'd been in the workforce for over 25 years, never once working in the graphic arts field, which she knew because she had my résumé in front of her. The question was so blazingly stupid and aggressive that it hit me between the eyes like a sledgehammer and I couldn't recover from it. I've never had an interviewer say "Why the fuck should I hire YOU?" in such a passive-aggressive way. Was it ageism? Did she just not like my face? I have no idea. I just left there feeling my entire working life was invalidated by this petty little sub-level bureaucrat. I can't imagine working under someone like that. I was in the process of verifying the application, however I wanted to do more research about the insurance, so I requested to put a hold on my application before signing anything. I was transferred to a supervisor and he said it could not be placed on hold or change it at all. I requested to cancel and would call back when I've become more informed about the company. He said "Sure, you can cancel" and hung up the phone (power move, I guess?). I am glad my instincts were correct. one year after hurricane Irma we are still waiting for Chubb to settle the claim with our HOA. This means that repairs have barely started one FULL YEAR after the damage. They did release enough money for us to begin on the roof, but not enough to finish the units to the walls (the part the HOA is responsible for). Their demands and processes have been ridiculous. There is no way this should take this long when families are displaced from their homes and have undue financial burdens do to Chubb stalling on payment. read more

Think about the worst insurance experience you can imagine with an insurance company and multiply it with 2x frustration and 3x waste of money- that's CHUBB. I have never worked with a worse company that purposely gave you the wrong numbers to contact and would claim you were covered until it was time to lay and magically the policy had these hidden clauses. Also, I am an HR manager. We offered their STD policy to our Team. From an administration standpoint, it's a joke. They can't figure out the billing. Our accounting team has to argue with them about charges being under or over. Some months, they just don't send us a bill and nothing is updated on the portal. Like I said, they are frustrating.
