I have been to some places were they really hurt you while doing cleaning and after that my mouth was full of blood - not here. The dental hygienist Rachel is really gentle and good. Definitely a good place to come for your dental check-ups and cleaning. Only recently I had couple of problems when scheduling appointments - one time there was no confirmation e-mail sent and I mixed up the times because I expected and e-mail with date and time (as usually) and then another time I scheduled an appointment for my husband, he took his day off to go for an appointment, but when he got there, he found out that the receptionist forgot to schedule his appointment in the system. When I called for explanation, I was told that they are unable to check what happened. Can we come back another time? Like it's so easy to take time off once again. If I would miss my appointment, I would be charged a fee for dental hygienists time; however, if they "miss" my appointment, "It's okay, can you can tomorrow again?" It disappointing but I still recommend this place for dental cleaning, etc.

Why do dental clinics claim to be good for nervous patients when they are not. Please be honest…read more It's impossible to get an honest review on anything anymore so here is one for you. Kingwest Dental does not care for nervous patients with care. They refuse to re-do my nightguard (one of the reasons I switch dentists was to get the 3D tech for the nightguard production) as it does not fit. They don't care, they already got their money. My teeth hurt. My coverage is only for one nightguard (obviously) and they wont help. The last cleaning I had the woman gouged me and also put the blood and plaque on my shirt and in my hair and was pretty mean and rude to me. I felt afraid halfway through and my neck was hurting so I asked for a rest. She typed on the computer with the same gloves she was using to go into my mouth. It made me feel sick. Finally, I'll say that I specifically noted that I need female clinicians (i'm a survivor of violence, which I shared in confidence) and they didn't respect that .I guess they found it amusing to see me panicked as the male dentist came to check in on me on my second visit. I gave them one more chance after that and that is when I got butchered and covered in gunk. Super nasty. Very disappointing.

I come to this dental clinic because I followed my long-time dentist, Dr. Bucciarelli, here. He…read moreused to to work on Belmont, then Yonge and Rosedale, now here. It is a modern and nicely decorated clinic. This clinic has 2-3 dentists. My dentist only works here every Tue since he works on Steeles Ave W the rest of the days. They have a knowledgeable receptionist. My dentist charges reasonable prices (some clinics charge extra). He doesn't do unnecessary dental work. He uses a dental assistant during his dental work. Before the pandemic, the waiting room had enough seating for 4 people. They also gave out free lip balm and green apples. Since the pandemic, there are only 2 chairs, the waiting room is almost barren, and there are no free handouts. The receptionist desk has plexiglass all around it, and there is hand sanitizer on the counter. During pandemic times, you are asked a few questions a few days before the appointment, then you have to answer the same questions when you arrive for the appointment and sign a waiver. You must wear a face mask the entire time until you sit in the dental chair. During pandemic times, there is a heavy duty HEPA filter air cleaner in the waiting room, and in each dental room. After each patient, all their masks and gowns are thrown out and the room closed with newly installed plexiglass doors. The room is emptied for a few mins while the HEPA filter air cleaner cleans the entire room of any lingering droplets. The rules are that if you don't have such an air cleaner, you cannot use the room for 3 hours. So it is cheaper to but an industrial quality air cleaner. The dentist wears a N95 mask and a face shield. Unfortunately it means his voice volume is at 50% of his normal volume. There is free WiFi. Each patient room also has a 32" Sony TV installed above you so you can watch it during dental work. The handle dental insurance claims. You still have to pay first but the submit the claim for you (some people may delay submitting the claim).

For minor cavities, she always suggested to monitor instead of doing filling right away (not like a lot other dentists who are money driven). Her reason was every time you did filling you would lose an extra part of your own tooth. She tried hard to help you extend the lifespan of your teeth as much as possible. The front desk lady, Floor, was also nice and warm. The only reason I did not give a five star was because this place put an extra charge of fluoride treatment on your dental cleaning claim form and a lot of insurance companies did not cover it. All the previous dentist's places I've been to just simply included this service in the three units of scaling.

My daughter and I had the privilege of visiting their beautiful modern office yesterday. After a…read morethorough examination, and to my surprise, the dentist, Dr. A Valiushka, advised me to not get any dental work since I did not need it. She did, however, took a few X-rays of my teeth to make sure they were healthy. We also took advantage of our visit to get X-rays taken of my daughter's teeth. I was advised to get a night retainer and they proceeded to scan my teeth to get me a new and proper retainer. The other great ladies in the office where as delicate as Dr. A Valiushka, being very aware that most people don't like having any work done in their mouth. I must say, these are the most delicate dental workers I have ever gone to. They will be our "Forever Dentist" from now on. And we don't even live in Canada! Have I mentioned we also had fun?

This changed abruptly when new ownership and new dentists came into the picture. I usually get x rays done about every 3 years. This was not an issue with the two dentists who i was dealing with. I decided to give a younger person, who is also a female a chance. I was there to get a simple gap in my front tooth filled in. It comes out every so often, over the years. I told the dentists that i had business appointment in a couple of hours and theres no need for an xray. Time was of the essence. She through a temper tantrum, like a spoiled child and told me that since i wont get the x-rays,she refuses to work on me. I had to make an appointment for 3 hours later,with the regular dentist. I had to cancel my business appointment and wait in my car for 3 hours. This childish behaviour,which i explained to the dentist was not punished,i was forced to pay full price,wasnt compensated and came away,realizing that i would be foolish to return. Ive never had such a poor experience with a doctor,dentist or any other type of business in my life.

My treatment takes quite a ling time, but every time I leave clinic, I am so happy. It's incredible how much easier the treatment itself was than I expected. Dr.Albert inserts implants so quickly and easily that it looks like science fiction.

Unfortunately, I also feel pushed to get certain procedures done. I had 6 cavities done over 5 years at Bite, but last year they told me that the cavities had to be refilled. I went to another dentist and those cavities were not an issue. The last straw for me was when they mixed up my dental appointments twice and I had to call to confirm my appointment date. I appreciate reminders, but getting dates mixed up seem to be a subtle way to recall me more frequently. I feel bad for Bite because it used to be an amazing clinic with dentists and hygienists, but the high turnover and business operations pushed me to go with another dentistry.
