First of all "Who is Hom?" I asked for "Happy Birthday Mom." The cake was supposed to be lemon with raspberry filling. The cake had no lemon flavor. I would have thought that the cake would have had lemon zest as well to give it more lemony flavor. The cake was very heavy. Very very heavy. So heavy it was hard to cut. I did not take the rest of the cake home from the restaurant. That is how disappointing it was. The decorating was very dated. I did not expect cutting edge but what I go was 60's or 70's. It looked like a 13 yaer old decorated the cake. Bottom line is I should not have to order a wedding cake or a beer can cake or a yoda cake in order to get a stellar cake. Anyone ordering a cake is doing so for there loved one. The amount of the care given to the cake should not be determined by the amount being paid or the occasion it is for. Bottom line consider getting a birthday cake somewhere else. read more

Christy's made a beautiful cake and several dozen pies for our wedding, and they were all delicious. I think we had one pie leftover at the end because they were so good. We are SO happy we hired Christie and Michelle from Christy's Kitchen to cater the dessert table for our wedding! We had a small almond cake, mousse, parfaits, truffles, mini cheese and cupcakes, and assorted baked goods that our guests raved about all night! Michelle even experimented and make a croquembouche for the first time for us! It turned out beautifully! We couldn't have been happier with their professionalism, willingness to work within our budget, beautiful display (even despite challenges we threw at them in forgetting to provide the correct cake stands!), and absolutely delectable sweets! I happened to see this Bakery while visiting and driving by. When I walked to the door it was locked and I noticed they closed at 4 p.m. Yet, the lady behind the counter saw me, and let me in. I wanted to sample a few things so I got an apple tart, lemon bar, pecan pie bar and a piece of chocolate cake. Following dinner I sampled each and will say all were superb! The apple tart was nice and flaky, the chocolate cake was moist chocolate with and a hint of fudge. Delicicious!! My mom's favorite was the pecan pie bar and mine was the chocolate cake. Although, all were fabulously fresh and delicious. A lady came in with her children who seem to favor the cookies. I myself am coming back Saturday for pie and cookies to go. Christy exceeded my expectations and made my dream wedding come to life. She gave me the suggestion of having cupcakes as centerpieces and before that, I had never even thought about it. Everyone knows how much I love cupcakes, so I thought it would be the perfect way to add a little bit of myself to our wedding. She showed us pictures of what she could do and I was immediately sold on the idea. She made the most amazing and beautiful centerpieces for my wedding with the most delicious cupcakes to match. Just stopped in on our way out of town after stopping at the Igloo and the husband could not resist getting some baked goods. Everyone in this place is SUPER nice and the display, at almost noon, was still packed with good stuff. Love that they had pre-packed boxes of donuts ready too! We ordered Christy's Kitchen cupcakes for our outdoor wedding reception at Buffalo Rock State Park. We decided on white and chocolate cupcakes with a white buttercream rosette swirl. They came out looking perfect and tasted great. The cake was moist and the frosting was sweet and fluffy. Christy's delivered the cupcakes and they all arrived on time looking great. I was better off going to Walmart and having them made and paying 12$ all least they would have tasted better and now they won't even refund my money back because as stated by the owner "We will not be able to provide a refund. Massively overcharged my daughter $150 for a small cake and 2 dozen cupcakes that were horrible and tasted horrible! When I messaged them they were rude and then stopped replying!
