This is sad how I went from being a huge advocate for Dr. Christopher Wong a few years ago to being disappointed. Dr. Christopher Wong used to always be happy and talkative when you would go in for an appointment. He used to give you time to understand what problems you're experiencing. He used to spend time with you and would try to wrap his mind around the problem. Now his demeanor has changed. The smiles are gone along with his welcoming attitude that he once had. He walks in the room now and won't acknowledge you when you say him to him. He'll ask what's wrong, check your pulse and breathing, and then send you off to a specialist or write you a prescription. He became everything that is wrong with the Healthcare system. Cram in appointments to bill more, push medication and get care onto someone else's hands. This is the problem with fee for service healthcare. There is no preventative medical care. His initial care years ago was the example of how Healthcare should be. That is the reason why I was happy to switch over to him when I did years ago because at the time he was one of the genuinely caring physicians who didn't push medication, who didn't refer you out without fully understanding what's going on with you. He was the doctor that cared. Where did that go? I know we as patients expect more knowing that doctors are peoole and they have families and a life outside of practicing medicine that can add more weight to also being a doctor and caring for patients, and I try to have empathy for that but it's been a few years now since he changed and that's why I decided it was best for me to find another doctor. I know you can do better Dr. Christopher Wong. Do it for your current and future patients and do it to be an improvement to our already messed up Healthcare system. Don't be a contributor to it. read more

Doctor Wong is my primary care physician. Going on 5+ years. Absolutely amazing at his job. He's extremely intelligent and passionate about giving the best care. He's professional as well as very knowledgeable in his field. I'm thrilled to have a doctor that listens and takes time to educate me on my health concerns. The office staff that support him are the most efficient I've ever experienced.. true superstars. They speak multiple languages and are always warm and welcoming. Dr Wong has been my PCP for almost two years and my experience has been wonderful. He listens carefully to all of your concerns and spends time answering all of your questions without rushing you along. He also jokes around and makes his patients feel at ease. I have friends with very serious illnesses who see Dr Wong and he has treated them so well, managing their conditions and getting them to the best specialists when needed. It's been very easy to schedule appointments with him and his front office staff are so friendly, kind and efficient! I hope to be able to continue to see this amazing physician for years to come. This guy is definitey a gift! I've been seeing Dr Wong for a few years now, I admit, the initial appointment was about 4-6 weeks out, but once youre an established patient with him, you are likely to get in the same day if you need to if you are experiencing symptoms. I love is spunky attitude... he is also very humble and he wont order any testing unless he truly believes you need it. Dr. Wong is a very good doc and helped me through a lot of medical issues. But I have to deduct 2 stars because his office does not allow customers to pay bills online. Expecting patients to pay bills by mailing in a check in 2019 is, frankly, unacceptably old-fashioned. read more

The reception staff will not allow me to make a follow up appointment. I saw Dr. Wong in 2017 and he is the only PCP who has all of my (hundreds of pages of) medical records; it was so hard to get all the records assembled and faxed (yes faxed) over to their office in the first place. I haven't needed care in the intervening years and now the reception lady told me on the phone that I am considered a "new patient" and that I should have come back for an annual physical in 2018, but since I didn't do that Dr. Wong is too busy to see me now (you'd think that forcing patients to come in for needless appts would make the office's backlog worse?). She told me to look on the back of my insurance card to try to find a new PCP who can see me. This experience epitomizes so much of what is wrong with healthcare! Would never recommend this office since apparently they will just cut off patients at random. read more

He's my primary doctor, I chose him because I was too lazy to find someone in my network and it's what my mom used. He's pretty awesome and I'm glad he's my doctor. I usually do lab work every year, today I expressed that I do it every year and I didn't want to this time because sometimes I can't aim... into the cup. NO BS and quality treatment. The doc actually spent a fair amount of time with me when I came in with a sinus infection today. I work in the medical field so I always find it refreshing when a doc is actually personable and friendly. Chris was great! He was thorough and informed me of the options I had for my antibiotics. Dr Wong in a word - solid. He actually LISTENS to what you're saying and asks good questions. I went to see him for the first time last week looking for a primary care physician and I think I found my doctor. He has great bedside manner and actually returns your phone calls personally - not many doctors do that these days. Though he prescribed some meds for me to buy after I told him I was already taking meds for the same condition - maybe he thought I was running low - but the meds he prescribed were a bit $$$, when I told him that my insurance wasn't great for prescriptions, he didn't pressure me and said the meds I was taking for the GERD condition were fine and that when I run out I can just double up on an OTC version of the same drug to save some big $$$ - very cool. If you're looking for a good doctor - I would recommend Dr Wong. cheers. read more

Dr. Wong deserves 5 stars for his professionalism, his knowledge, and his expertise. He also has an exceptionally positive attitude and gives you the feeling that he will resolve whatever health issue you have. And at the very least, do his very best. Dr. Christopher Wong is a great doctor. He is very thorough, patient and always takes the time to explain everything to you which is rare with most PCPs out there. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE and get you in THE SAME DAY for an appointment. With my prior Dr., I always had to leave a voice mail first and then had to wait a full day to get an answer back...just to be told that I can't come in that day (so glad that I don't have to deal with that anymore). read more

Christopher Wong has a good manner in person, but not so much on the phone. He said he is frustrated that many times patients do not pick up when he returns their phone calls. Returning patient calls is a big plus; some doctors don't do that. But he needs to give patients more than 15 seconds to answer their phones before he hangs up. That would be less frustrating for Dr. Chris and also for his patients. As far as knowledge goes, he appears to be pretty good. Sometimes he spends what I consider to be adequate time with me during office visits, but other times I feel rushed. He is prompt and doesn't keep patients waiting. read more

Dr. Christopher Wong shares an office with Dr. Clifford Wong. I think they're father and son. My mom has been a patient of Dr. Clifford Wong for many years and loves him. I've only seen him a couple of times myself. I think Dr. Clifford Wong is great but the wait to see him is unbelieveable. So one day, I called to make an appointment with Dr. Clifford Wong and was told if I want to be seen earlier, I can see Dr. Chistopher Wong. I took the chance and he turns out to be great. I thought he was approachable and took the time to explain things throughly. I've had experience with doctors rushing to get out of the room. He was not like that at all. He answered all my questions and believe me, I had a lot! I highly recommend this doctor and although I love Dr. Clifford Wong, my next visit will be with Dr. Christopher Wong. My mom, on the other hand, will never be converted because her English is not good and Dr. Christopher Wong's Chinese is kind of hard to understand (the reason why he lost 1 star). I have dermatomyositis, an inflammatory illness similar to lupus, and arthritis. Dr. Wong listens very carefully to all of my concerns and is very proactive in making sure that all of my symptoms are treated. It was his referral to a motility specialist that discovered I had hardened scar tissue around the base of my esophagus. His staff is very very friendly, and kind, and everyone in that office is patient, and understanding. My appointments with him are always comprehensive, discussing the litany of my medical concerns and finding appropriate treatments or referrals for them. read more

I had an appointment with this doctor yesterday. It was my first time and he did rather comprehensive body exam (that what he said). He told me I am fine. He didn't even check my temperature though! I got papers for lab tests and went home. I was working from home that day and it was the only place I visited. I started to feel weak towards the evening and I took some aspirin. Today I woke up with temperature of 99.9, terrible headache, completely stuffed nose and sore throat (it hurts to swallow). He is not a good doctor because he either missed all these symptoms, or they have some kind of bacteria or virus in the office. Avoid this place! read more

Although we hate seeing doctors, he is always attentive, friendly and informative about the medical problem. It's especially helpful that he has appointments available in the same week. I signed up for Yelp just so I can write this review. I've seen many reviews that started with that line on Yelp and they're generally bad reviews. It makes sense to me. I am in customer service and I think when people are happy with your service, they generally just come back. It's when they're not happy, that's when they want to tell the world. Well, I hope this shows how passionate I am about this review and this doctor. I am willing to go above and beyond to tell others how great he is, just like he is about taking care of my mother. A few days ago, my mom had several stomach pain. It was so bad she had problems sleeping all night. She actually thought she might be having a heart attack. She tried to wait until Dr. Wong's office opened to call but eventually could not wait and ended up calling his answering service to page him at like 6am. He called back in like 5 minutes. He diagnosed her over the phone with gastritis and prescribed her two medications which I promptly picked up from our 24hr Walgreens and gave to my mom as prescribed. She didn't feel better so after a few hours we decided to take her to the Emergency Room. Five hours later, after many vials of bloods were drawn, an EKG and a chest x-ray were done, the ER doctor diagnosed her with acute gastritis. I rolled my eyes at that moment. Really mom? I don't doubt that you're in pain but really? We went back home. She took another dose of the medication Dr. Wong prescribed but at like 7pm at night she started feeling the pain again. I really didn't want to go back to the Emergency Room so feeling like a complete jerk, we paged Dr. Wong again. He told her to take another dose of one of the medications he prescribed earlier and actually took the time to assure her that she's not having a heart attack. I don't know about my mom but I really appreciated it. Now here's the amazing part... get ready.... about 1-2 hours after we talked to him, he called us back to check on her. It was like 9 or 10 at night, I'm sure he has a family but he called my mom back to make sure she felt better after taking the extra dose of medication. Wow! I've met my share of great diagnosticians and he is one but man, this shows that he really cares about his patients. I would give him 6 stars if I could. read more

Dr. Christopher Wong and his office staff are professional and caring. Dr. Wong is always willing to dialogue and discuss his reasoning for the treatments he prescribes. In this time in age it is important for a physician to take on any challenges patients have. Dr. Wong always discusses his reasoning with us and provides evidence to support his logic. My husband and I both see Dr. Wong and recommend his office to anyone that wants to be seen by a doctor that practices with integrity, intelligence and compassion. Christopher Wong, or "Chris," is an awesome doctor. He is very down to earth, yet knowledgable. He will listen to your inquiries/symptoms, and give you an informed, educated answer about what he thinks your ailment is. If you need a prescription, he also prescribes generic brands. My gynecologist suggested I try Dr. Clifford Wong for me PCP. I tried to make an appointment with him, and when it became clear I would have to wait a long time, his receptionist suggested seeing his son, Dr. Christoper Wong. I'm glad I did. I went in for some shoulder pain I've been having for a couple of months. He listened very carefully, and asked if I'd seen an orthopedic surgeon about it. I told him, no, but I had made an appointment with one and asked him for a referral. He said, "Sure. If you don't like him, let me know and I'll refer you to somebody else." I also have a patch of skin on my face that gets rough and I rubbed it hard enough that it bled. He looked at it and said that he thought it was a keratosis. I told him that as a kid I had several bad sunburns (I'm 55.) He said, "Well, we better have a dermatologist look at you. It also wouldn't hurt to have a full body check." I also asked for referrals to my already established neurologist and cardiologist. Again, no problem. He was respectful, kind, and listened carefully. The office staff was very efficient. I walked out with four referrals in hand. Dr. Wong also said that he has a full bloodwork profile he orders for new patients. I told him that I'm due for bloodwork in February for something elso. He asked me to fax him that information so he could consolidate the two and save me from having to travel twice for the bloodwork and to save me from being stuck twice. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. I will return to see him again. I really liked that he was quick to refer me to specialists. He checked my shoulder and said that his best guess was that it could easily be remedied by a shot of cortisone. He also gave me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory to take while I wait to see the orthopedic doctor. A good visit, competent care, and helpful office staff. read more
