Office in SF with framed pictures of famous ballet dancers and athletes that were treated by Dr. Cox.

My 82 yo mom had her second knee replacement. The other knee was also done by Dr. Cox in the past, so my mom only wants the absolute best and was willing to drive to SF to go back to him. He is an excellent doctor and he and his practice has an impressive gallery of ballet dancers, stars and football players and other athletes with signed pictures thanking Dr. Cox and his colleagues. So you know you are in good hands! Also great that there is a X-Ray room there to check patients right away to compare how it is before and after- all in one which is convenient for elderly patients especially! Parking lot is connected ( but 12.00 for the hour!). Plenty of street parking as well ( we parked in the lot- no, I didn't make her walk from the street!). Bedside manner is great, following up with family is also very good. Follow-up care is organized and wonderful. He obviously has been doing this long enough with much experience that he is excellent on all points. And those who want the best can be confident Dr. Cox is just that whether to famous individuals or just a regular elderly woman like my mom! We appreciate his care and kindness as well!

Crystal, my physical therapist, was amazing. She spent 30-40 minutes each session assessing my progress, working on what needed attention, and what exercises would be best givien how I was feeling since our last session. She modified my exercises with the physical therapist aides for every session to maximize the areas of need to accelerate my recovery. The physical therapist aides were also great. Each aide provided 1-on-1 attention to walk through each exercise. Many were also working toward getting their own physical therapy degrees. The front desk is one of the most friendly and competent front desks I've come across anywhere. In addition, they also provide a 24/7 full service customer portal with a wide range of online services above the usual invoice payments and insurance details. You could cancel or reschedule your appointments in real time, send messages or ask questions, check your upcoming scheduled appointments, and more. You can also subscribe and sync to your own calendar (Google, Apple, etc.) which will sync new and updated appointment details along with physical therapist name, date and time. There's really no need to call to make changes unless you want to talk with someone. I highly recommend this place if you need quality physical therapy care.

The office is clean and calming. His response time is punctual. I received PRP about three times, physical therapy advice, HCG therapy, stem cell treatment once, along with ultrasound treatment and dextrose water injections. These were done over the course of four to five years for a labrum surgery recovery due to a torn in half labrum and torn nerves in both arms as well as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I'm doing much better now

Within 5min of being at Dr. Wardwell's practice, he had imaged my achilles via ultrasound, diagnosed it as partially torn and had a proposed treatment plan - PRP and stem cell injections for my back, achilles and foot. He doesn't just treat the injury, but treats the full body, focusing on the the root cause to prevent re-injury. 4mo later - I'm back to running and am not limited in any activity. More importantly, I'm not hobbling out of bed every morning (which previously, I was resigned to doing for the rest of my life). I'm so appreciative for Dr Wardwell and the huge quality of life he has given to me. Also shoutout to Randy, who runs the office and is such a pleasure.

I was referred to Dr. Callander at California Pacific Orthopaedics in San Francisco, who specializes in hip replacements and the operation was scheduled for and performed in early February 2026. The day after the operation started with two unexpected delightful surprises: - The new hip worked so well, that the crutches were banned right back into storage. - The shortened right leg as a result of the femur neck re-attachment in Germany had been brought back as part of the operation to match the good leg! I can't overstate how good that feels! Included with the operation package were two weeks of excellent PT that allowed me to get back on my daily morning bike rides a month after the operation. While residual healing will likely continue for a few more months, the new hip works just as well as the other one! My gratitude to Dr. Callander and his entire team for a great experience! Thank you, Michael Froehlich
