Luckily I did not have to search for Chris when we needed a wedding photographer. My friend who also got married a year before us did all the leg work. So when I asked her WHO i need to do my wedding, she knew right away. Chris was everything I wanted in a photographer. I wanted someone I could trust. I knew because of two things, his portfolio, and his vibe. He is a great guy who GETS IT. He managed to get all the must have shots from the wedding and a great collection of canids. Nothing seemed posed or forced. Which is what i noticed from other photographers that I've seen in the past. He also made sure to capture all the little details. And when I look at all the pictures he took that night, to me, they really tell the story of that awesome day. And that day, he was cool as can be. And I think it was his coolness that kept me calm as the groom. It was just contagious to everyone in the wedding party. I got a bunch of compliments from guests at the wedding, that he seemed like a cool guy who knew his stuff. He was open to out of the box last minute suggestions like a huge group photo of all the guests at the wedding at the ceremony from a balcony above everything. Christopher Todd Studios performed magic in capturing the wedding of my daughter in photos. First, Chris recorded the 'facts' of the event, working fast and furiously with his assistant to fully get a 'historical record' of the wedding, including all the necessary photos of friends and relatives, as well as the individual events of this special evening. I cannot say enough good things about Christopher. We were planning a wedding from out of state, and there was no way we were going to be able to take engagement pictures in California. He flew to Texas to take our photos, and the finished product was incredible. He had some really great ideas that showed through in the pictures - not to mention that he dealt with our two rowdy dogs! There is not an adjective great enough to describe how much I love our wedding photos - just amazing. Chris was knowledgeable about our venue - the Wayfarer's Chapel, which does have some strict rules, and he knew of some really unique locations to take images at our reception venue - Trump National Golf Club. Family pictures is not something my wife and I were looking forward to. We have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and getting them to coordinate a smile and be calm at the same time seems like a nightmare. I asked around trying to find a good photographer for our family pictures and was told about Chris from someone who just had him photograph their wedding. We met with Chris in his studio and I was amazed by all of the great pictures he had featured on the walls of both weddings and families. Chris has a true gift! Chris was our photographer for our wedding on Kauai and now that we have our daughter there was no one else we trusted more than Chris to take our family photos.
