I met Altranise through local moms when she donated her chair massage services to a wonderful…read morefundraiser for a family in need. That defines Altranise--giving. When she started Anise Moon in Latham, I couldn't wait to book an appointment, but my mom was visiting and I wanted to treat her first. She had a great experience, but I'll let her share her own story. Months later I was finally home and in a place where I could take a little time for pampering. Altranise was easy to book with and very nice when I got there. My only complaint is that the location is a little hard to find (it's super easy to drive to, but the address wasn't visible), but while I was there, the landlord was installing a sign for The Wellness Cottage now that all of the rooms are filled. Voila--fixed! Altranise made me feel very comfortable and I could tell she was genuinely interested in my past and current health to inform her work. The room was really comfortable and my 90 minute massage was heaven. She knew the exact areas I needed more attention on and I felt like she had the perfect amount of pressure. I only wanted a normal Swedish massage--I'm wimpy and can't handle deep tissue, but I know she would be great working however her client needed help, she really listens. I will definitely go back and my company is talking to Anise Moon about hiring her to do chair massage for the team at the office! Support a local, amazing mom and professional massage therapist--check out Anise Moon and all of the practitioners working out of the cottage.

BEST MASSAGE EVER!!!!…read more I've have several massage therapists, saw a regular therapist for years, and always stop in on the random chair massage pop ups you see about. Needless to say, I feel qualified that I've experienced many styles, types, techniques and different people when it comes to massage therapy. I booked a 90 Minute Couples NSL Massage for my boyfriend and I on a whim. First Impression: The outside it adorable to walk up to and upon actually entering the premises we were blown away by the immediate feel of magic, ease and wonder all at once. I've seen many different aesthetics when it comes to decor yet this was otherworldly in a provocative and enchanting way. This feeling continues throughout the rest of the stay, room to room and into their gorgeous back courtyard! Point of Interest Number Two: The massage therapist made me feel instantly at ease and in capable, knowledge hands; safe. I instantly began to melt into the techniques he was using that I had never felt before. The entire massage was almost entirely new to me as far as style and I loved every single second of it. My boyfriend was equally in heaven with his therapist. I could go on for an essay's length about this world-class massage team we experienced right here in this hidden gem in Albany. I rarely right reviews, yet had to this time to spread the word about this amazing gift you will be giving any recipient of a service from this Spa! The insane part is the next day, instead of reverting to my natural hunched neck and slouched shoulders and general poor posture, he'd corrected and felt so many cracks in such a pleasantly releasing way), I continued to stand straight. I was walking with my shoulders squared back, chin high, NATURALLY. The man also fixed my friggin' posture! Trust me, you will 100% NOT be sorry you trusted this review.
