WARNING: Avoid this "doctor" at all costs. Gives a bad name to these wonderful remedies…read more I've had acupuncture and cupping many times in Los Angeles and from multiple practitioners. I was unable to get in at my regular doctor before I took a trip to NY. I searched online and found "MD" Yap. Based on my experience, I am almost certain this practitioner is a phony expert, as he not only used far less needles and didn't place them in the typical puncture points, but jammed at least one of them in way too far, which resulted in pain and a protruding contusion. Then came the cupping, which usually feels great, rather than placing on a multitude of cups with the suction necessary to leave their trademark purple circles, he used about 4 of them, weakly, which did absolutely nothing and left no mark. He then had the gall to charge $150--about the max a really good LA-based practitioner would charge. This was a massive waste of money (and time) and I would highly recommend you avoid this "doctor" as he's more likely to harm you than to help you. I'm pretty sure he prays on those who do not know what to expect from an acupuncture / cupping session. Acupuncture and cupping have been a great alternative to drugs and surgery for me and I would hate to have anyone turned off from their benefits by someone who does not understand how these methods work and uses them as a way to fleece people of money.

However, a bicycle accident led to three chipped vertebrae, that led to a short stint with chiropractic work, that led to two years of acupuncture. When my Acupuncturist MD explained how mylofacial release techniques could support the work we were doing, I allowed myself to rethink of massage as not as a luxury but as a support system. With the care given at A Peaceful Place I have doubled my recovery and well-being. This professional staff never pressured any sales or pitched additional purchases. I am now on an "as needed basis" with acupuncture and have massage once every two months or so. I look at this wellness center as a key part in my continued well-being, and I thank my lucky stars that events led me to their door.

We selected the Clifton Park site for services, and we were pleased with the individualized treatment plan. We do not give five stars without a lot of thought. We are not newbies to physical therapy; in fact, we have had prior experiences with other PT providers including home visits. Our assigned PT Patrick Schroeder was excellent! My husband saw him for several sessions because of severe mobility and balance issues that were acerbated by a fall and a bout of Covid in December. Patrick was knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the mobility issues and modifying the treatment plan when needed. He has outstanding interpersonal skills, and my husband was encouraged appropriately during his therapy sessions with him. He enjoyed chatted about SU sports and engineering with him. These interchanges helped him relax during the sessions. Patrick gave us two pages of exercises my husband could do at home to complement the therapy sessions. Office experience: The Green Room has friendly staff that are peasant to deal with when making or cancelling appointments.

In short "If you need care within a few hours and can get there on your own, go here."…read more I'm going to preface this review a few assumptions: If you're in the ER it's probably not a good day for you anyway, most peope don't really *want* to be there, and you're there because you need to be seen sooner than tomorrow morning at a primary care doctor or need more care than a CVS or PriceChopper type Clinic can offer. With that in mind, I'll say I 'enjoyed' my visit to Ellis Emergent Care. I left feeling WAY better than I did when I got there - which is the point, right? The waiting room was calm, quiet, and not crowded. The staff was professional. I won't say 'overly friendly', but it's the ER people!!! They could have been on the tail end of three 12-hour shifts. They were, however, gentle, caring, respectful, and efficient. I was in for extreme dehydration during pregnancy and had to get an IV. The nurses and PA very much seemed to have the attitude of "Lets get you feeling better and get you home." They're obviously busy, but don't seem frantic. The receptionists remembered my name and had all the paperwork ready to go when we went to check out. I feel like all of these reasons in aggragate make it a 5-Star ER. You're not at the spa, but you're also not getting ebola or watching someone die on a stretcher. I'd call that a win. Since it is a smaller facility, they have a limited number of beds/rooms compared to other major hospitals. With that in mind, if there are more than 10 people in the waiting room, it could mean they are filled to capacity. We waited about an hour before I was admitted to a room on a Wednesday afternoon. I felt given the number of people I saw leave and get admitted before me, this was very reasonable. Pro Tip - this facility does NOT accept ambulances, and as a result, the hectic, chaotic atmospher that you experience in other places is noticable absent here. If you need care within a few hours and can get there on your own, go here.
