Met by one woman who had me come inside and ASKED ME TO LOCK TO DOOR BEHIND MYSELF. Then tried leading me to a back room. She then said I needed cash and sent me two blocks down the road to an ATM to get cash. I told her I don't want a massage anymore and she was pushy, just not taking no for an answer. Eventually I just started walking away. Whole thing was sketchy and I feel I dodged a huge bullet. Being in a locked basement alone with someone I feel unsafe with - NO THANKS.

It is located in the basement of a apartment building it is super hot and does not smell very good and honestly I was scared I would catch hepatitis if I was to sit down anywhere. The door was locked and I had to ring the door bell the woman that let me in barely spoke any English. When she went into the other room i left....it was definitely scary there. Just updating that even though the woman told me that my credit card did not go through because it was out of paper etc. and that she was not going to charge my card the payment still went through and there is nothing I can do about it the woman is obviously a scam artist and I am so glad I got out of there when I did I guess $63 is a small price to pay for not catching hepatitis.

When she started Anise Moon in Latham, I couldn't wait to book an appointment, but my mom was visiting and I wanted to treat her first. She had a great experience, but I'll let her share her own story. Months later I was finally home and in a place where I could take a little time for pampering. Altranise was easy to book with and very nice when I got there. My only complaint is that the location is a little hard to find (it's super easy to drive to, but the address wasn't visible), but while I was there, the landlord was installing a sign for The Wellness Cottage now that all of the rooms are filled. Voila--fixed! Altranise made me feel very comfortable and I could tell she was genuinely interested in my past and current health to inform her work. The room was really comfortable and my 90 minute massage was heaven. She knew the exact areas I needed more attention on and I felt like she had the perfect amount of pressure. I only wanted a normal Swedish massage--I'm wimpy and can't handle deep tissue, but I know she would be great working however her client needed help, she really listens. I will definitely go back and my company is talking to Anise Moon about hiring her to do chair massage for the team at the office! The only thing I didn't love? I wish it was longer. That's not on him though--it's the setup. Anyhow, let's talk about the "60-minute massage" claim. In reality, you're only getting 50 minutes of actual massage. Five minutes are for undressing and relaxing, and they stop five minutes early so you can get dressed. I get that you need buffer time, but don't advertise 60 minutes if the hands-on time is 50. Either change the description to reflect that clearly, or adjust the scheduling so sessions are a full 60 minutes with prep and cleanup time built in. Now, the pricing. When I arrived, the front desk said the massage would be $109 for new guests. Afterward, I was charged $129. I didn't realize the mismatch until I got home and saw a $20 credit pending. That made the experience feel disorganized, and honestly, a little shady. At minimum, the front desk needs better training on consistency and communication. Also, the pricing chart is confusing. For example, a 2-hour massage is listed as $249 no matter who you are--member, non-member, or new guest. That defeats the whole point of being a member. There's no incentive to join if I'm not actually saving money. Here's how you could restructure the pricing to make it clearer and actually compelling: 1 Hour Massage - Member: $89 - Non-Member: $129 - New Guest: $109 90 Minute Massage - Member: $129 - Non-Member: $189 - New Guest: $159 2 Hour Massage - Member: $209 - Non-Member: $249 - New Guest: $229 This version shows a clear discount for members and a slight welcome deal for new guests. And importantly, it makes the 2-hour massage feel like a value add if I become a member. If I saw that I could save $40 just by joining, I'd seriously consider signing up and booking longer sessions more often. That's a win for me and your business. To be clear, the massage itself was excellent and I absolutely plan to come back--for the massage. But the front desk operations and pricing strategy need work. If the experience from check-in to checkout matched the quality of the bodywork, this would've easily been five stars.

I Just wanted a nice massage but the therapist didn't even touch my legs or arms. She barely massaged me! She kept working on specific muscles in my back and neck because i said it was tight but i wanted a full body massage. Not only that but apparently you don't start till 10 minutes in so you only get 50 minutes but i paid for an hour. The price was ludicrous 130$ for 50 mins. Absolutely ridiculous. TLDR: Insane prices, Barely a massage, Begs for you to spend more money the second you walk in. Do not Recommend
