Great doctor!!!!!!! I've been having knee pain and arm pain and poked around the net for a sports…read moredoctor and saw the great reviews here on Yelp. If people are so inspired to write a review about their doctor/experience on yelp (which doesn't happen a lot, mostly restaurants) it must mean a lot. I'm sooo glad I decided to call Minor and James clinic and made an appt with her. Her clinic is at the FIRST HILL BUILDING on Minor ave and James. Parking is located across the street at the parking garage. Make sure to bring the parking stub with you up so that the receptionist can stamp it. The stamp will ensure you a parking discount. Smooth experience from start to end. No long waits in between. I didn't feel rushed or just another patient. She thoughtfully listened to all my concerns & answered all my questions. She explained everything to me thoroughly and very clearly. She thoroughly examined my walk, leg, etc. and was able to pin point the problem instead of ordering a bunch of x-rays that would cost more money. I left not just very satisfied, but I even asked her to recommend me other doctors since I was so impressed with my experience! (I am currently looking for a family doctor/general physician) Anything sports medicine related, I highly recommend her.

It's rare to find a physician who is as analytical as her, but combine that with her compassion and curiosity, and you have an excellent doctor. I have a complex spine condition, and she is the only one who's been able to suss out what's going on. I've probably seen 5-6 different sports med doctors before her over the past 10 years, and I'm so glad I found her. You'll likely wait months for an appointment, but it's worth it.

I truly can't recommend Tangelo enough. In the beginning of 2022, I was diagnosed with piriformis…read moresyndrome and then sciatica and had continual discomfort in my body all throughout the day every day. I attended PT and was diligent about doing all my exercises but my symptoms weren't getting better. Over two and a half years I saw four different PTs, tried acupuncture, and even got a corticosteroid injection in my lower back but nothing helped. At first, I was resistant about seeing a chiropractor based on what I had seen online but I wanted to get better and wanted to try one last thing before beginning more invasive procedures. From the very start, Dr. Mike and Lawrence and Von listened to my concerns and my history. They were able to give me a more accurate diagnosis and worked with me to find a program that fit my body and my boundaries. Everyone at the clinic has been so kind and encouraging along the way. When I started at Tangelo in mid 2024 I could only run a quarter of a mile. Since then, they've helped me run three half marathons with more to come! I am so grateful for all the care they've provided to help me get back to what I love most - moving my body. They've brought back a lot of joy in my life and I am endlessly thankful.

I originally went for some foot and shoulder issues and quickly saw the results from their expertise! The regular pain I was experiencing is gone and I'm feeling so much stronger, so much so that I've started running again on a regular basis. And for anyone that knows me, was not something I wanted to do ever again after years as a soccer player. I highly recommend Dr. Mike and team if you're experiencing any nagging physical issues. Everyone in the office is friendly and encouraging, even when they're making you work hard and kicking you butt!

"I gotta guy." is usually reserved for a good mechanic, electrician or plumber and not so much for…read moresurgeons as you may see one, once or twice in your lifetime. But as you see, I have Dr. Schwartz on that list to whomever asks me about a great shoulder-guy. (I work in the electrical industry; we get a lot of shoulder and knee problems.) Anyway, I was warned by my coworkers who've gone through similar shoulder surgeries about all the post-surgery problems, mainly pain and recovery I will encounter. Not true after my surgery with Dr. Schwartz. Yes, your mileage may vary but the worst part for me was having to wear a sling. My pain was minimal and recovery was very quick. (I had the full-meal deal; rotator cuff and bicep reattachment and I guess my collarbone had to be shaved.). Dr. Schwartz was very patient and actually listened to my concerns both pre and post-op. He explained everything from my injuries, my upcoming surgery and what to expect afterwards. He's pretty proud of his work, even showing me a video of my surgery. And his staff was awesome! I liked his work so much, I had my other shoulder repaired three months after my first.. this shoulder's recovering fine as well. One thing to note: getting something surgically repaired is not like taking your car to the mechanic. You can't expect to just go take boxing lessons after you leave the shop. It takes time and a lot of physical therapy to properly heal, as Dr. Schwartz told me on my very first visit. Follow your post-op instructions handed to you and actually DO your physical therapy routines and you'll be fine. So if you're looking for a really great shoulder-surgeon, "I gotta guy...."

I had been dealing with shoulder pain for over a year when I finally saw Dr. Schwartz. He decided…read morethat surgery would be the next logical step and said that he would find a repair whatever was wrong. He did find and fix a couple things that were wrong, and said that if I followed my PT my shoulder would be as good as new. Almost 6 months after surgery and following PT strictly, my shoulder is in more pain than before the surgery with no end in sight. Dr. Schwartz ordered another MRI and I feel like I'm right back where I started, having wasted 6 months and a lot of money. I was terrified of having surgery by Dr. Schwartz assured me that it would end up solving my problem. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I'm 52 and totally understand the complications and risks with this type of surgery. I felt what could go wrong went wrong. The problem with a lot of people is they do not understand that when something goes wrong, almost all of the time it has nothing to do with the surgeon performing the procedure. Things just happen. Dr. Keem has always been professional and straight forward with me as well as the staff that works around him. I knew the risks and accepted what happened as part of that but Dr. Keem is great. I'd go to him again (this was my second procedure with him...the first being 7 years ago). The staff at the surgery center was amazing. All of them were great compared to my previous visit. I'd like to give a huge shout out to all of those who cared for me but the one that stood out the most was Morgan. She seemed so much of a real person than a robotic nurse that i had experienced with my previous surgery. She was easy to talk to and seemed relatable to my life experiences. Again...all of the nursing staff was amazing this visit but Morgan stands out the most. Thanks again.

My most recent experiences, however, show a complete lack of professionalism. My CT scans from a month ago have not been reviewed, and multiple calls to my surgeon have been ignored. Dr. Basamania has enjoyed a stellar reputation but I think his recent performance is subpar. I have been living with pain and a completely useless left shoulder since his revision surgery nine months ago. I understand that my situation might be complex, but to simply not respond to a patient is unconscionable.
