I'm going to start by saying that I was skeptical upon receipt of the whimsy stick flirt pole. I practically monopolized the Chris- owner's and entrepreneurs-time for at least an hour asking questions due to being unsure of what to do with the stick. Chris was awesome and so patient with me. He immediately and personally anwered all my questions and guided me through what was to be a GREAT toy for my dog! Thank you Chris. Now after more experience and time with the pole, I would HIGHLY recommend this to ANYONE who has a dog- I'm serious. Chris was incredible with our dog Wally. He also provides a ton of knowledge to us as dog owners to ensure we are giving Wally instruction in the best way. We used his 3 week bootcamp service which helped reset Wally's boundaries in our own home as well. We called Chris in a desperate attempt of getting are 1 year old Rottweiler Yogi under control. Yogi's a very smart and powerful dog and he knew it . He pushed his way around are house doing as he please and we had no idea how to reverse his habits. Chris was confident from the first call that it was no problem for him. After the boot camp Yogi returned a different pup. He listens takes corrections very easily. He doesn't walk us any more, He's doing great as we continue his leash training . This Texas snowstorm was really ruff. But seriously it was. One of the good things that came out of it was that these 3 dogs became new best friends (out of necessity). But it wasn't easy, and our journey started far before this week. Drago (my dog, bottom right) has a lot of fear, which sometimes presents itself as aggression. Specifically towards other dogs. And it has been like this for a long time. But we have been working with Chris from @instinctualbalance for a few months and the results have been incredible. Update: we continue to use souls for paws for on going adventures and overnights! There's no one we trust more than Chris with our dogs! We hired Souls for Paws when we adopted a rescue Rottweiler 8month old pup in addition to our previously adopted Pitbull who had some major previous trauma. When the trainer first came the Rottie actually tensed up and growled I was shocked but it made me even more glad I hired them. Since that point our rottie has become much more confident from being initially leash aggressive, cowering sometimes when meeting new people or being petted and peeing when we came home or meeting new people, to a much more balanced dog. She does wonderfully meeting new people and dogs. We now know how best to exhaust her mind and body so she isn't chewing on furniture and whatever else she can find. She hasn't had an accident in weeks. The pitbull has been learning obedience and has become much calmer when greeting new people and handles crating much better as well. As owners we also have a better understanding of our dogs behavior now and we feel more confident working with them and reinforcing the training. I can't recommend Souls for Paws enough read more

My aussie doodle was walking me on the leash and Chris taught me exercises to take the control back while maintaining a mutual respect relationship with my dog. We were so nervous leaving our fur babies for such a long time but Chris stayed at our home with our 4 very spoiled and needy fur babies for 9 long days. He was AWESOME!! He sent us several videos daily and was very quick to respond to any messages we sent him. He was even so kind to check our mail and water the plants so they wouldn't die in the heat. Chris was fantastic!! I have a large pit bull who was very aggressive towards dogs. He was so aggressive I was unable to take him on walks. Chris was amazing. We scheduled an hour long session with him to help us with leash training for our year old pup. Chris was professional, patient (answered all of our questions and explained things thoroughly), punctual (arrived 10 minutes early for the session), and really seemed to understand our dog. During the hour, we made great progress, learning and practicing Chris's techniques. After two days of practice on our own, we have already seen tremendous progress from our dog. We feel that Chris laid out a clear and effective roadmap for us to train our dog and make walks with her more enjoyable. Last thing to know about Chris is that he really cares about dogs and stresses humane training practices. The training is rooted in fostering mutual respect between the human and animal. Chris stops by our house and picks up our two dogs a few times a week for "pup adventures". So much cooler and way more fun than a dog walker (no offense!) because my dogs get to play in a large group, get tons of off leash time, and get a little taste of the wild. It has also helped them understand boundaries around recall and how to respect their limits of freedom. They also get lots of social time. It's clear he has a natural knack for working with dogs, they listen to him better than they listen to me. They come home tired and happy. We recently adopted Atticus, a 70 pound German Shepherd/Lab mix, and needed some help with impulse control and leash walking. Walking Atticus was not pleasant, he is strong and it took a lot of effort to keep him under control. In only a few sessions, Chris taught us how walk Atticus in a calm, confident manner. Chris taught us to establish ourselves as the leaders of the pack in a humane and respectful manner. It took some practice and patience, but walking Attics is a lot of fun now. Chris did a great job teaching us how to motivate Atticus to comply with our commands. He presents the information in a a clear and direct manner which we really appreciated. We called a couple of dog behaviorists the day we brought Attics hime, but after speaking to Chris for a few minutes, it was clear that he was extremely knowledgable and experienced and we're really glad we were able to work with him. read more

My dog was aggressive and anxious when i first adopted him. I was basically in tears when i called Chris with Souls for Paws. He took on my pup for behavior training and within days i saw a difference. I like that he come and works with both the pup and the owner. Chris is the absolute best! I have a 1 year old cocker spaniel mix who was acting so horrible and I could not get him under control for the life of me. I've never had a puppy before and I had no idea what I was doing. He was jumping, barking and nipping at me and had crazy separation anxiety. I was at a loss and honestly thought he couldn't be fixed without a train and board program or be fixed at all. I couldn't even sit down and watch tv without him basically "attacking" me and begging for attention. I came across instinctual balance and it SERIOUSLY changed my life!
