Dr Fortes was amazing and, even though he's straight and married, I just felt like I was with a good girlfriend!!!! My nose get infected and he went on vacation and no one in his office would see me to give me antibiotics, After emergency room fees and my infection healing he had me come to his office where he said he would repair the damage. I lived 24 years with a horribly scarred nose disfigured and lopsided. Between Leis, Joseph , and Patt I can only imagine the next doctor would be Shemp the fourth stooge. Thank God for Dr Amy Xue for repairing my face even though I will have limited time to enjoy it at 72 years old now. I cannot imagine the cost in dollars and cents of the loss in production, self esteem, promotions , and sales this jerk cost me I know in my heart God will sort him out and I guess I can take some solace in that.

I never received a call or email about my online inquiry. So, I decided to go ahead and call. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and informative. My review concerns their scheduling policy. I find it to be highly unethical. I was told that if I wanted to get a consultation and surgery within the year, I had to put down a nonrefundable 10% of the cost of surgery. So, you are forcing me to commit to a very invasive, risky, and expensive surgery without ever having informed consent from the surgeon, whom I have never met? I think people who are seeking information about serious surgical body modifications should be able to make decisions concerning these things after meeting the person who will be permanently modifying their body. A consultation is not only about informed consent. It is also when the patient gets to meet the surgeon and determine if this is the person they want to perform their surgery with. And what if I decide to do no surgery based on the information I am given? People should not feel forced to make decisions like this uninformed and on the spot. What if I decided to go with a different surgeon? So that means I lose $3k? Also, I have no idea precisely what I need because I rely on the surgeon's expertise. When I spoke to the woman to give me a quote, I was guessing which procedures I needed. Anyhow, personally, this is a major RED FLAG. I believe it to be completely unethical and exploitative. I think charging a no-show fee for those who don't attend consultations is warranted. But forcing people to put down payments on serious surgeries without information about the pros and cons and never meeting the surgeon makes me question the character and ethics of this doctor.

A huge piece of asphalt flew through the window & smashed my face. I had a broken nose, broken teeth, & my jaw was dislocated. The accident happened on our way to Dallas. I was in the passenger seat and the ambulance took me to the closest emergency room. My 4 year old daughter was in the back seat & is still dealing with the trauma of the experience. Thankfully I'm the only one who was physically hurt. The Doctors at the ER were pulling pieces of road off of my face and trying to stitch small cuts on my face. The whole experience happened very fast. I remember stopping them and saying I didn't want anyone touching my face except Dr. Mentz. I chose him several years prior & knew if I ever had any work done I only trusted Dr. Mentz. We called Dr. Mentz when we got home and his waitlist to see new patients was over 3 months. I was able to speak to his nurse and explained the urgency of my situation. Thankfully the nurse cleared a spot for me. Dr. Mentz was kind, caring, & exuded confidence & I immediately felt a calmness come over me. The damage to my face was so severe he asked for pictures of what I looked like prior to the accident. I was able to pull up some Facebook pictures that he studied for a long time. He then called in his nurse, started rambling off medical terms & instructions. He called an amazing cosmetic Dentist named Stryker Davis. Dr. Mentz explained my situation to Dr. Davis. He then immediately sent me to the cosmetic surgeon & dentist. Dr. Mentz explained it was necessary for me to see the Dentist first because of the trauma my face & mouth endured. And if the dental work was extensive it could affect what he needed to do to my face. I went to the Dentist & was treated like a rockstar. They saw me immediately, he did an examination then called Dr. Mentz & the two came up with a care plan for me. I was scheduled for plastic surgery on my face 2 days later. During my 2nd consultation with Dr Mentz he suggested we do some minor shaping on my nose. Honestly all I wanted was to be able to breathe again & feel normal. It took about 3 months for all of my swelling & pain to settle down. To this day I am so thankful I had it mentally together enough to stop the ER Doctors from working on my face. And of course I also wish I had taken Mentz's suggestion to sculpt my nose. It's on my list now & I plan on making a beeline to his office the moment I have everything in order (financially & time off work). Dr. Mentz is the best plastic surgeon in America! Do your research & you will see all of his before & after pictures. They're real people and his education is top notch! I highly recommend Dr. Mentz & have sent several friends to him. They were all very pleased with his work. I could argue that he probably saved my life! The procedure he did on my nose was one that he created. Weeks later friends & family could not believe the improvement of my face. Every day it got better. My whole family & I always pray for Dr. Mentz & his family and will continue to do so. This man/genius gave me so much that words could never express how grateful I am to him. If his waitlist is still months long go ahead & get on the list. You won't regret it! Also, once you're an established patient you get priority placement so the waitlist goes down to maybe a week or so.

This left me uneasy enough that I immediately called back to cancel my consult. When I did, I was told I couldn't receive a refund, and the person I spoke to was curt and sounded annoyed that I called back at all. This review is not a reflection on the doctor, whom I never met. However, first impressions matter--especially in this field--and I did not feel comfortable or cared for from the very first interaction. I went to this establishment for a "Neck-Tite" procedure in January 2023. The procedure was supposed to be chin liposuction with a series is a skin tightening treatments. The first photo is before any procedures. After my initial treatment, neither I nor Dr. Roth were happy with the results. He offered to do the procedure a second time. The second and third photo is what I look like today more than a year after the procedures and after $8000 were spent . I came in for my chin, but in the end, all of my buccal fat was removed, which is something I have never wanted. So much so that for the first time of my life, I have heavy jowls and I'm in my 30s. I hate looking in the mirror and wish I had never done anything. All I wanted was to get rid of my double chin and now I'm left with so much loose skin and no baby fat on my face that I look 20 years older than I am. I feel botched. I regret coming here everyday.
