On Wednesday night, there were no flowers. I contacted him, and he claimed he had confused the date, telling me, "I'm sitting right here looking at it, just need to finish it." He promised he would deliver them the following day and refund me 50% for the trouble. Today, the services took place. There were absolutely no flowers, no refund credit has been issued, and he has completely ignored all of my emails and phone calls. Sharing this so other couples - especially those planning from out of town - know exactly what they may be walking into. I want to be fair: Christopher is creative with a genuine passion for florals. But passion alone does not make a reliable wedding vendor. If you need professional communication, organized consultations, and follow-through for one of the most important day of your lives, please read every review carefully before signing anything or handing over a deposit. The consultation started badly before it even began. We were given a warehouse address in advance that turned out to be a dilapidated locked shared space - confirmed when my planner arrived 30 minutes early. We then received a last-minute text less than 30 minutes before our appointment redirecting us to an outdoor flower stand in front of a well-known Richmond restaurant. We arrived on time with our wedding planner and stood outside in nearly 100-degree heat for over 15 minutes with no call, no greeting, and no one looking for us. He only called because his assistant happened to drive by and spotted three people waiting on the sidewalk. He had been sitting on the back patio the entire time and never came to meet us even after that call. Rather than moving indoors, we held the entire meeting outside on a patio shared with strip mall tenants in the heat with no water offered. Our planner had to go into the restaurant herself to get us water while Christopher stepped away for 20+ minutes to make an example bouquet at his stand while simultaneously serving other walk-up customers. Once the meeting began, Christopher did not stand to greet us or introduce himself to our planner. There were no design visuals, no mockups, and no printed proposal, despite having two computers open. A standard floral consultation runs about an hour going through the proposal line by line with all parties having a reference sheet. Ours lasted an hour and forty-five minutes in scorching heat with none of that structure. Verbal discussion was our only reference, he went on tangents, and we found ourselves continually redirecting the conversation back to the meeting objectives to help facilitate his own consultation. Key contracted items including guest table arrangements and cake florals were never discussed. When we raised the sweetheart table he seemed unaware it was even in the proposal. He called my fiancee and our planner the wrong names throughout. When asked about our venue - which he had never worked - he said no to any logistics questions, adding he had stopped by it a month earlier on a drive to New Jersey. Stopping by is not the same as knowing a venue. At the close of the meeting, as we said cordial goodbyes, he made an unprompted inappropriate comment speculating that if he and I ever got into an altercation at a club, I would be the aggressive one throwing fighting words and my fiancee would throw a punch at him to defend me. We had been professional, friendly, and gracious throughout. Our planner with 11 years of experience kept apologizing and said it was a first for her in over a decade. The comment came completely out of nowhere directed at two people who had been nothing but professional throughout a meeting that had already tested our patience at every turn. I emailed a termination request the next day and included the exact email address in a follow-up text since he had multiple addresses in use throughout - adding its own layer of confusion. He confirmed he had seen the text and would review it. He later claimed he never received the email - yet I had written to him not once but twice with the exact address included. When I filed a Venmo dispute after receiving no response - the only thing that got his attention - he called immediately, said I was rude for filing it, that he was not making any money off of me anyway, and that I had never communicated with him despite acknowledging my text two days earlier. He claimed he would have just given me the refund if I had asked - which I had, in writing, twice. What followed was nearly two weeks of broken promises, unanswered texts, and repeated calls before he finally accepted the dispute. His refund Venmo dispute reply was finalized on day 12 from the Venmo dispute original date and day 16 from my original written request - both outside his own stated 7-10 day refund policy. I waited even longer for Venmo to finally process. I anticipate a response disputing this. I was cordial throughout. I confirmed directly with Venmo that he needed to respond to release the funds and communicated this to him. He knew what was required and still took nearly two weeks. It began with an online order made a week in advance and paid upfront. On the day of the requested delivery date, the delivery was not made. I had to call the next day to find out why the delivery was not made. I heard excuses, promises of a refund and then promises of call backs that did not arrive. I gave Christopher a week to redeem himself and a chance to redeliver the arrangement. The sad fact is that he failed to make any attempt at rectifying a bad situation, good. I don't live in Richmond and assumed it was a brick and mortar shop. Nope! It's a stand outside the Can Can Brasserie in Carytown. I went with my fiancé and best friend the day before our wedding. We had a ton of things to do that day. It was very hot out in June. The two ladies by the stand clearly did not have my floral order and had no knowledge about the order. There was lots of internal miscommunication which I blame solely on Christopher, the owner. They told me that they would drop off the flowers at my hotel later that day. I did not trust them to do so. Thus, I said we would return when the flowers were ready to be picked up. They said to come back in an hour and told us to pick up the bouquet at a warehouse location in south richmond. (Btw, I may not be from the area but this is on the tougher side of town. Not some place u would want to go.) We walked into a storage facility. They had a tiny room where his employees were rushed and trying to put my flowers together based on a photo I had sent to Christopher three weeks prior. They were nervous because they were rushed and felt pressured because we were watching them. The final product was pretty, but massive! It was very heavy and looked more like a tablescape than an actual bridal bouquet. The whole experience was unnecessarily stressful and completely unprofessional. This man is a fraudster. I ordered a birthday bouquet for my mother's birthday. On the day of pick up there was Noone there. I waited for hours. People walking by asked if I worked there because whomever was working left flowers unattended in buckets. I reached out through every line of communication available to me but this charlatan keeps his voicemail full, emails ignored, and messages unread. He did reach out the next business day with his story of supply chain issues and offered to deliver a different (aka not at all what was ordered) bouquet to my mother the next day. That didn't happen. It took another day of playing phone tag for my mother to receive anything at all. A pretty fall bouquet that my mother liked but left my sister and I completely underwhelmed and a note promising more flowers in the coming weeks. It has been a month since that exchange and she has received nothing. I never received a refund but honestly the worst was the time wasted. It was my mother's birthday and instead of spending time with her I was waiting for a florist who never cared to begin with. This whole experience has left a sour taste and a distrust of using small businesses. If I had known then I would have used a big corporate company because while I know the product would have been substandard at least it would have existed in the first place. read more

Our initial meeting with Christopher was excellent. We were planning a late November wedding. He brought sample flowers and we discussed our expectations. The proposal was exactly as we agreed to. However, some aspects of the flower delivery and set-up did not match with the contract, and were therefore disappointing. The contract with us stated, "Floral items will be delivered by 9:30 AM and set up completed by 10:30 AM." The wedding began at 5:00 pm and the set-up occurred at 4:15 pm. We had 3 little girls as attendants and we discussed having flower crowns for the 3 little girls instead of nosegays. One floral crown was delivered and it was way too big for a little girl's head. We took it apart and put the flowers on their flower petal baskets. We also requested 3 small corsages. Two were delivered and they were to be attached by ribbons which just didn't stay on the wrists. The contract stated "1 balloon sculpture: purple and pink with artificial burgundy flowers." There was no balloon sculpture delivered. The contract called for "10 Tabletop Centerpiece Arrangements: Centerpieces will consist of a trio of vases of submerged flowers. Each table will include purple, burgundy and pink accompanied by fairy lights." There were 10 tabletop flower arrangements in glass vases. There were no fairy lights. To be fair, however, the centerpieces were beautiful. My bouquet was lovely. So although the flowers we received were lovely, we were very disappointed that the promises in the contract were not fulfilled. Some mixed reviews like always here but you learn to 'read' reviews after awhile and I felt like this shop was a good bet. Ordered online, a well working website that made it easy, and the arrangement and price selection was as good as any I've seen. So for about $80 delivered I got this bouquet and expected next day Saturday delivery. No word all day that they were received and I didn't want to ask and spoil the surprise, and I was a bit irate, but today I learned they did arrive - at almost 9pm Saturday night. I think it was the owner - he told my wife and friends there that he'd been just slammed by a wedding that day, some short staffing issues etc, and he was just now catching up with deliveries. I paid for an upgraded bouquet of flowers from the website photo, asking for additional blue delpheniums to be added. There were NO blue flowers seen in the delivery photo sent upon delivery confirmation! Additionally the bouquet was not well arranged and clashing hot pink daisy-like flowers had been added that did not enhance the arrangement at all! Other local florists included their delivery charges in the cost of the flowers, but an extra $10 was paid on top of the flower costs with the expectation that it would be a beautiful sophisticated arrangement as shown in the website photo. I am writing this review for soo many reasons. I initially reached out to Christopher on Sat. 2/2 to inquire about a flower called Gladiolus for my in-laws for Chinese New Year. I was informed that he wouldn't have them available till Mon. 2/4 and would be available for delivery before noon (which was fine since Tues was the actual New Years Day). I emailed him Saturday afternoon with all my information (address to be delivered, COLOR I needed, and my contact info). Monday rolls around and I hadn't heard anything from him so I called around 2 knowing they would need my CC info. I asked again when they would be delivering the flowers and Christopher now saying around 4 (not the time I was hoping since we had agreed earlier it would be before noon. But again, it was fine). I had asked why it was a later time and he said because there was no CC info. When I clearly stated in my email to call me for CC info bc who would send those over email? Tuesday rolls around and nothing was delivered to my in-laws. I called around 11 asking why and was told, "the driver couldn't deliver it" Honestly, I was really upset and he asked if there was anything he could do, ie credit me back for rearrange them. I said at this point I just wanted the flowers delivered to my in-laws please. I do not need anything else. The flowers were finally delivered at 4 Tuesday Night. BUT they were WHITE and NOT RED. If anyone knows Asian culture, white associates with DEATH. My in-laws called and I got an earful as to why I would be soo cruel to send such bad omen on NEW YEARS DAY?? I was furious!! I specifically asked for RED flowers and Christopher said he had them. I immediately called Christopher and asked whyyyyy?! In all fairness I guess he really didn't know and I get that but he should have called me when he didn't have the colors I wanted. He then said he will make things right and resend new flowers the next day to my in-laws with an explanation as to what happened. Today is Thursday 2/7. I waited 2 days before writing this review because my in-laws still HAVE NOT received their explanation and new flowers. I am very upset as to why this had happened to me. I used Christopher Flowers for my wedding last fall. We didn't want a ton of flowers and he was by far the cheapest option and the easiest to work with. The flowers for the wedding were gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. That being said, there were a couple major issues that keep me from leaving a 5-star review. For one, the flowers were extremely late. I think his mother was the one delivering them and she didn't arrive until an hour before the ceremony was about to start. We wanted pictures taken before the ceremony, and because she was so late, we had to take most of the pictures without flowers which was hugely disappointing. Additionally, I had asked to have my bouquet wrapped in my mother's wedding veil. We even took a special trip down to Richmond from DC to drop off the veil. When the flowers arrived, we realized it was definitely not wrapped in the veil. My wedding coordinator reached out to him to see if we can get a partial refund or the veil returned and we never heard anything. Luckily, this wasn't hugely sentimental to my mother or me (just a sweet gesture) so neither of us were in tears over this. But I could see how some brides would be extremely upset about the issue.
