I'm writing this 80% for the service I received and 20% for the merchandise. To be clear, I really…read moreloved quite a few of the clothing and accessories here. Even though the style of the pieces seemed to be going through a bit of an identity crisis, I saw enough I really liked to definitely come back (and I bought a few things). Their jewelry was also exceptionally cute. But what inspired me to write this was the great service I got from the person working that day. It was just one girl working and I think her name was either Sophie or Sophia. She had the coolest and nicest personality and made my entire visit just a pleasant experience. No matter what the likelihood was of not having my size in stock, she always was more than happy to check the back and she was engaged and helpful throughout my visit. She was the only person working and I noticed even when it got busy she took the time to greet & acknowledge everyone that came in the door. I know this is a long post but having had my share of rude and/or ambivalent salesperson experiences, I consider myself a customer service snob so when I get great service I take note. A big thanks to Sophie/Sophia for making my shopping visit enjoyable. I will be returning!

The store is small but has a bounty of clothing given varying taste. I stumbled upon a lovely pair of printed flowy black & white pants which were a must have. Also, grabbed a pair of sweaters and tops to add to my wardrobe. Many of the items are trendy but you can find a few staple items. This is a boutique so the prices tend to be a bit pricey. Somethings are worth the added value yet some of the designer items don't seem to be the best quality. I suggest this place for those who like trendy pieces and if you like pieces you can mix and match.

Bottom Line: A lovely collection of accessories, décor, clothing and gifts…read more The Cottage, a long time staple in Severna Park, has opened a new location in downtown Annapolis in the spot previously occupied by Kokopelli. To differentiate between the two locations they are calling the downtown Annapolis store The Cottage on Main and the Severna Park store The Cottage in The Park. The inventory between the two stores seems very similar. I can almost always find something to buy at this great local, small business. Here are some of my most recent finds: - Avanti greeting cards often featuring funny animals. They are the best! - Keva leather jewelry. It's light and so comfortable to wear. - Farmhouse Fresh lotions and soaps. Great quality and not overbearing scents. - Hobo purses and wallets. Awesome colors, practical designs and yummy leather. - A variety of thoughtful and sweet baby gifts. Lots of pretty prints. - Boho bandeaus. I really like these for working out in the yard. - Rifle Paper Co. stemless drinking glasses. Seems great for anything. - Although not personally a favorite of mine, popular brands like Vera Bradley, Kendra Scott and Swig. Since this location is in downtown Annapolis parking is a consideratoin. On an early weekday morning you might be able to grab a metered spot our front. The Noah Hillman Parking Garage is nearby too. Or you can always drive 15 minutes to the Severna Park location where parking is plentiful. Overall, The Cottage on Main is a great addition to downtown Annapolis.

Annapolis has got a ton of little clothing shops and odds and ends but THE COTTAGE's selection was top notch. They had bracelets, bags, decor, clothes...you name it. I'm from the south and live in Ohio now, but this shop was reminiscent of the shops in the south. Classy and prices reasonable for the quality they carry, plus the staff were so hospitable. Hopefully I'll be stopping in on a regular basis if I get a Mid class 2031.

They are very professional, polite and patient whoever we're choosing items for our family's gift. My family loved their products too. We chose fresh sourdough bread, goat cheese with truffles, and another with figs and honey. Sounds yummy. A tasty white wine to go with the bread and cheese is a great accompaniment. Thank you AnneBeth. I appreciate you for having this establish for all. And it's all priced fairly. I'll be back and will tell friends and family about our experience. Marcia M.

East to find with street parking right across the street. The space is small, but they have a decent cross section of wine, beer and harder stuff. If you're thinking booze warehouse you will be disappointed, but if you prefer more human scale, you can find happiness with Annebeth. We needed a six pack for our dinner at a local crab house. We were able to select a mix and match half dozen of their mostly local brews, which our lovely shopkeeper was able to put together with transferable can clips into one unit. There appears to be other things for sale in the way of snacks and light lunches, but we didn't pay much attention to them. We knew we would be stuffed with Maryland Blues, chowder and key lime pie that night and were saving our appetites until then. It was cool to buy our night's beverages in a shop that might have been selling grog and heavy ales for the last 250 years!
