The prices are very fair and Mr. H. and co. are always, always friendly. If you go early in the season proper you can get cider and cookies in the red barn at the farm. You can also rent the cabin on the property. You can't miss it. It is rustic and charming. I mean the cabin, but the whole farm has an aura of warmth and secret places among the trees. Make sure you call first, as the trees go fast. The farm is easy to find- the road will curve twice, you go slightly uphill, and bam. You're there, ready to later beg for yet more Target ornaments and to begin a new memory of cheer and goodwill.

I went there yesterday, 12/12/10.] Bill Hicks and his family own property on a hill by a creek with plenty of Christmas trees of varying sizes and varieties. It's a very pleasant time, walking around, checking out trees and appreciating the ambiance of a cool fall day on a farm. The trees are $25, no matter the size - not a bad deal! Mr. Hicks is a very nice person, allowing us to take an additional small plant home for us to plant ourselves. He has been in the Christmas tree business for some time, but he has a greater passion of promoting agricultural education in the community as well as in schools (he is a high school physical science teacher as well). Our toddlers are now yelling "drop that sick Santa beat!" due to some of the bass-tastic music choices. Purchased ahead of time, it was only $25 for our van full of five people. It looked like $30 if you pay at the door. The line from the highway wasn't too bad. We probably waited 15 minutes on a Tuesday around opening at 6 to turn into the stadium drive and another 30-40 or so to pass the ticket booth and experience the lights. The line was all the way out past the exit to the highway by the time we left around 6:45, so go at opening on a weeknight to avoid long wait. We did not stop in the indoor Santa/Santa pics, pony ride, concession area due to COVID and countless unmasked people but look forward to doing that in the future. For anyone who is CoVID-conscious, the woman at the entry ticket booth had gloves on and didn't touch my phone to scan, which is awesome. However, she did have her mask on as a chinstrap. Overall, great experience. Looking forward to making it a tradition.

It was in the evening and the sky sparkled with stars matching with the brightness of the lights draped across the tree farm. When you entered the entrance with the sign Merry Christmas above you in deep red letters, anticipation began of memories that were going to be made that night. There was a large copper fire pit with flames leaping around the tree stump stools. There was free hot cocoa with fluffy marshmallows.My grandson is all about the cocoa, which is strange since he doesn't like regular chocolate milk. It was a cool night so the hot cocoa was appreciated. What took it over the edge was the s'more kits that were given at no cost. These are the memories of a 8 year old who fell in love with this tree farm ,that when his stem class offered a special project of making a mini Christmas float, he made it from his experience at Raise the tree. I added the picture of his float in the pictures. This year we have been so busy that the day we decided to go it was pouring down rain. We didn't think it was going to be open, but there was Ian the owner greeting us in the rain ( a sprinkle by now). He seemed so happy to see us. We told him we were thankful he was open. He said he was going to give it a shot to see if anyone would come. We told him how much our Grandson love it last year and showed him the picture of his float. He was so touched that he gave my grandson a free table top tree. My grandson was over joyed! We were there in the early afternoon and because of the rain there was no fire or hot cocoa, but Ian encouraged us to come by tomorrow at night for the full experience. What took it over the edge was that when they prepped our tree with colorful netting they cut a little of the trunk of the tree for water absorption, they took that little piece of wood and made a personal ornament for the tree. They also have a pumpkin patch that next year we have to visit. Make some great holiday memories and visit Raise the Tree!

While in Tennesse I had to visit a Christmas Tree Farm instead... Because local is better of course. Want to buy a pre-cut tree? Alright. Want to buy a tree and cut it down yourself? Even better! Christmas Trees are very reasonably priced. Of course it wouldn't be a Tree Farm without the nicknacks. They sell tree stands, candles and other little items to please your shopping experience. I bought my Tree after Thanksgiving Day and to this day (January 9th), the tree is still with full pines and standing up straight. Not taking this tree down until it comes down by itself. The only issue I did have was with my Chase credit card (Visa), for some reason the 'Square' dongle didn't want to accept it although it accepted a Mastercard.

The place has various buildings and they are packed with items, tons of hardware,tools,knives, fishing gear, boots, t-shirts, china, signs, ammo storage containers, flooring, trees, silk flowers, stickers,etc ...It's hard to see it all, you can miss stuff, and the cashiers were super nice!
