I have always been insured by Statefarm, but when I got married, we combined all of our insurance with Allstate. This included home and three vehicles. For over a decade, we paid our ever increasing premium on time with Allstate. Having an impeccable driving record, I never required the use of Ms. Holmes' office or my insurance. Unfortunately, a few years back, I was hit head on by an elderly driver attempting to make a left turn. When I finally needed their services, the office was unresponsive, unhelpful and just useless. Although the accident was not my fault, they were trying to increase my premium. When I decided to inquire about different insurance companies and their rates, I was shocked to find out the extent to which we were over paying. I was getting quotes for the exact same coverage (and in some cases, more coverage) for less than half our yearly premium from very good insurance companies. When I called the agent about how it is that our rates are so high despite not having filed any claims, their response was let me see what I can do for you now and oh, I see we can save you some money by... Needless to say, I cancelled our policies and went with another company. It was only then Ms. Holmes herself started to call me about coming back to her agency. After repeated requests to stop the phone calls, I finally reached out to the Allstate corporate office to stop the harassing phone calls and emails. Only then was I completely freed from them. Shame on me for wasting all that money paying the exorbitant Allstate premiums for all those years. Please do not make the same mistake. You can find full coverage for all your insurance needs from A+ rated insurance carriers without having to pay thousands of dollars per year. And stay away from this particular agency.
