    Chicken souvlaki wrap and carbonara
    John L.

Tried out their chicken souvlaki wrap and carbonara a few weeks ago for dinner. The chicken souvlaki had good flavours. The chicken was well marinated and tender. Portion size was small and just a few pieces of small chicken in the wrap. The carbonara was more disappointing. Wasn't enough sauce and tasted very bland. I needed to add more cheese and some creamy sauce I had in the fridge to make it more exciting.

If I could give zero star, I would... On the Father's day we ordered a seafood plater. It's not our first time getting this. We had the same seafood plater back in Feb and it was always delightful. However, this time is super awful: The mussels were clearly rotten as many of them were not complete mussels, they smell and taste both rotten. I can't imagine any restaurants in the world that would be serving rotten seafood to customers! The same problems existed with the lobster. First of all they were very small and some parts were turning black... In February the restaurant provided the tools needed to eat the lodster, the shell cracker and the small fork to open the lobster/mussels, but this time we had to ask for the utensils and they said they don't have any... which might make sense as the food was all rotten so we didn't need them to eat them at the end... There were also a lot of food flies at our table. It's not even a hot/humid summer time. Either because the food was rotten and it attracted the flies, or there is a serious hygiene problem in the restaurant... or both! We asked for hot water and the waiter said there's no hot water in the restaurant.... We used to think Christinas is one of our fav restaurant in Greektown. However something must have gone wrong with the management. On the father's day we saw most of the neighboring restaurants were packed but including us there were only 4 tables of customers in Christinas! Looks like they are closing down or something. I still can't believe that we had to spend over $100 for rotten food!!! I would NEVER go back to this restaurant ever again!

    Hummus platter

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Greek dinner at Christina's on The Danforth! Their hummus was extra earthy, I believe thanks to a hint of coriander??? The Greek salad looked great but I could barely taste the dressing unfortunately. I had Moussaka for the first time (meat, not vegetarian) and it was delicious!!! Super tender and tasty, I loved it. Out server was absolutely fantastic and said we could stay for hours as he left the restaurant after his shift ended. Sadly the restaurant did not agree and turned off the music an hour early before closing time. We were the last ones in the restaurant and felt that we should leave which is unfortunate because I would have liked to have stayed longer. As a result I can only give my experience 3/5. I could forgive the lack of flavour in the salad dressing but feeling kicked out an hour early is kind of unforgivable. We even turned around to say good night and there was no one there. ~ Suzie The Foodie

Went to Christina's on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't very busy when we went so it made for a nice environment for a catch-up dinner with the girls. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I got the greek fries and chicken souvlaki. Came up to about 35 dollars. They were able to make substitutions so I got pita instead of rice. Food was overall good - not the best greek food that I've had but still yummy for the price! I especially liked the greek fries and tzatzik. Will definitely come back!

Mediterranean Seafood platter for two - photographs missing - Greek salad, steam vegetables and rice

Picture this. Saturday night, midnight. Just had a super long day and just wanting to eat geek with le boyfriend. We felt adventurous and wanted to try something than our normal - 3 restaurants. To our surprise this restaurant was still open and more than willing to serve us. We sat down on the patio because it was such a beautiful night. Looked at the menu (let me point out le boyfriend is extremely picky) and we both decided that the Mediterranean Seafood Platter for two is the choice that we wanted to go with. After the waiter had taken our order he had brought over the drinks and the bread. Pre buttered with fresh garlic butter - le boyfriend is celiac so he took the risk of eating it (8 hours later we found out he doesn't react to that bread which is FANTASTIC) he couldn't stop because it was sooo delicious. The food came out. Beautiful presentation and everything tasted excellent. The salmon and white fish was cooked to perfection. The shrimp and the lobster tail was a little on the dry side however none the less still very appetizing. This spot has been added to our go-tos list. Also the service was wonderful. Very pleasant and efficient, thank you for a wonderful time.

Used to love this spot a while back but it's not the same anymore. Very expensive for a very small portion size.

High price, small portions, bad fries, gluey dolmades. The meal was underwhelming at best.

It said established in 1919, so we thought it's a good sign it's been in business over a century; although not this location specifically. Their history in the 20th century was that they started in Berlin, Germany in 1919, but they were a Jewish family who ended up immgrating to Israel in 1933, opening their store there, and expanded locations throughout Israel. Their history in Toronto & North America (including some in the US) is much more recent since opening in 2017. Unfortunately, my closest is New York City; none in Maryland or DC area. This location is in busy downtown Toronto. We sat outside on their big patio area as the weather was warm and could enjoy the view of the buildings, people, cars, etc. Server was friendly answering our questions. I ended up getting an egg benedict with salmon in a croissant. It was creative and delicious take on egg benedict. The only issue was it was messy to eat in the croissant, but I didn't care as it was so delicious. My girlfriend got a Belgian waffle with blueberries, whipped cream, etc. It was unique and very good & sweet too as I tried a bite. Overall, this was a 5-star experience with great food, service, & atmosphere.

Service: It was not great. We sat for a while and no one took attention (we were outside and they were busy but no excuse for them -- they should do better). We had folks come in and out and were somewhat nonchalant and not attentive. Food: This was the great part of the experience. - Berries and Granola with Greek Yogurt: My brother in law got this an he devoured it and said it was great. - Farmers Breakfast: My wife got this and she LOVED it. She went back to get their Halwah Latte (which she said was just OK) - Egg white Omlette Skillet: I customized my food and it was good -- for reference I've had better only because the cheese was feta and it was unclear that this was the only option as I don't love feta. Also I'm pretty sure while I asked for egg whites there was normal egg (i.e., eggs). If you order egg white make sure the server hears you. They screwed this up for me. This is why I'm giving it three stars -- I could have made a stink but didn't think it was necessary to do so. All in all -- I'd recommend this spot to folks but don't go there thinking the service will be great.

The open fish market adds to the experience, and the drink selection is solid. Parking isn't the easiest (expect nearby office garages) but if you're there for a weekday dinner, they offer complimentary valet at the St. Regis, which helps. Service 5/5 Top tier. Staff are polished, attentive, and actually know the menu. Recommendations were on point, and everything felt seamless without being overbearing. It's the details that make it stand out, the attention to detail and the care when serving and presenting the food. Food 4.5/5 Went with the lunch menu (great value with an appetizer and main). Quality is consistent with what you'd expect from Milos: fresh, simple, and done properly. They're also mindful of time; if you mention you're on a tight schedule, they can accommodate a one-hour lunch without making it feel rushed. Had the salmon along with salmon tartare and the octopus. Good variety for the prix fixe lunch menu too. So far the best salmon tartare I've had in city.

The four-course Sunday Family menu seemed like a great intro, especially after a lot of travel. We were celebrating my wife's birthday with another couple and added the Milos Special and extra Santorini Fava. Highlights: crisp, well-seasoned eggplant and zucchini from the Milos Special, and sublime grilled octopus -- charred outside, tender inside. The lamb chops were delicious, though juices from the steamed veg made the fries soggy. Service is where it fell apart. No one explained that the Santorini Fava was a puree, not whole beans -- tasty, but clearly meant as a dip we never got instructions for. I used it on my lamb instead. At the end of the meal, a passing server (not our actual waiter, who'd vanished) told us the set menu didn't include dessert. We believed them. Then servers brought out one slice of birthday cake with a candle, a great gesture but kind of odd for us all to sit around with this one slice. My wife asked for a few more forks so we could pretend we were eating at the trough, so befitting for this calibre of restaurant right? Our waiter reappeared with a table service à la carte dessert selection we weren't interested in. Only later, at home, did we learn the set menu actually included dessert -- karydopita or seasonal fruit. Another service disappointment that sours one's taste. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet our waiter disappeared repeatedly. What was with that? We looked, he wasn't serving others. No surprise there's no Michelin star or Bib Gourmand here. The food was mostly excellent, but the service was unacceptable for this tier. We won't return, and we'll warn friends off. Management should follow up with our waiter, Margelo, to see if this was a one-off.

It was probably about 15 minutes between the time I ordered and when I got the food, so this is clearly not the place to go if you're in a rush. But I'd say the food was worth the wait. That cheese crust is the obvious star of the show here, while the fresh, soft bread is also quite delicious. The other components are tasty too, but the patty itself is the weakest link. It didn't have any kind of crust and just seemed a little on the bland side. But that's a minor complaint for a rather decadent lunch that I quite enjoyed eating.

Unfortunately, they don't allow you to switch your carbs to a salad, thus forcing you to pay an additional $3, for a salad and yogurt. That works out to be almost $20 with a soda... a bit pricey given this is more of a take-out fast food joint. The food is alright. Pretty average, typical Persian food.
