In June 2017, we had a complete 'do over' of our pool; plaster, tile, grout, deck expansion joins, new railing on the steps out of the pool, LED pool light, and pump room electrical. We made the decision not on the cost (Christal Clear Pools was not even close to the lowest cost) but because of the owner - Chris. July 10, 2018 UPDATE...we just discovered a SERIOUS crack in the plaster and was advised by the owner that "he knew about the crack potential BEFORE" the plaster work was done but went ahead with the job. When we make this repair it will be with SOMEONE OTHER THAN Christal Clear Pools because how can I trust a company that doesn't stand by the work they 3 yr warrantied to me!! read more

I chose Christal Clear Pools because they are a local shop and seem to have good customer service. That is, until I used their services this season. I had instances where the pool girl didn't show up and they would make up for it another day. There were other instances where she didn't show up and no one made up for it even though they told me someone came out to clean it. My pool girl ended up getting fired for habitually not showing up to clean pools, so I was not the only one getting stiffed on the service! In October, with another person, the same thing happened so I cancelled my service. No one has come out to my house in weeks, yet they keep charging me for the monthly service fee! I keep having to call and get the price credited back, yet today, Chris insisted that someone had been coming out to my house every week. He told me he has photos of my pool from the service tech. I asked how the tech has gotten in my backyard with the gate locked and cameras. It was only then that he back pedaled and tried to cover his mistake. Be careful and WATCH YOUR BILLING with this company! They also started charging for their credit card fees without my approval, so I've having to get credits back for that, too. Find another company or be prepared to watch them very closely! read more

07/30/2020: I cancelled my new pool contract due to breach of contract and lies. Therefore, I asked for my deposit money back, but it has been a month and still have not received a firm response from the owner when I can get my money back. The owner Chris keeps giving me excuses and excuses, lies and lies, for why my money is not available to refund me. This is ridiculous and very frustrating. As of right now 09/16 after I sent Christopher Demand letter for my money back, he still has not responded or given me an update when he will return my money. read more

We hired them to have the pool re-plastered. We went with the pebble finish, and it's just beautiful. They did a great job with the cleanup as well. My pool area hasn't looked this nice since we moved in 6 months ago. I needed a new pool pump also, and they gave me a great price on it. Can't wait to be able to swim this coming summer. read more

My patience finally ran out. Horrible service, they do not return calls nor they stand behind their warranty. I have had a nail in the bottom of my liner creating a small leak. I have called at least 40 times/visited them in person 4 to 5 times this year, they keep giving excuses. The install went smooth but the service response has been no-show. Owner took my money along with others and is refusing to respond. When he does respond he makes promises to finish the work that he's been paid for and never comes through. He doesn't show up when he supposed to, his contractors do not show up when they're supposed to partly because they are also not being paid in a timely fashion. I hired them to complete my pool in January 2020, as of today September 2020 my pool is not complete. My project has been paid in full but the owner has ran out of money therefore cannot pay the contractors to finish my job. Do not use this company. There are others in my same position that began to do business with this company, made payments, our money was excepted but yet the work was not completed and in some cases has never been completed. We were impressed with the company ... in the beginning. But once they got half of our $10,000 payment for a full pool renovation, it began to go downhill. In our opinion, the work was way less than professional, took 6 months plus and still didn't complete it. They became agitated if we asked when something would be done...for the 3rd or 4th time because all previous promises had not been fulfilled. When we were told the renovations would be completed on a particular day, we were asked to be sure and have a check ready that day for the balance, which we did and it was cashed within hours....but the work that day did not end up completing the job and we are now 3 months past that...and still not completed. Their weekly maintenance crew that was doing weekly cleaning during the clean up period advised us they could continue to service our pool after hours if we would like (that part of the company seemed to be trustworthy and dependable), so we continued maintaining our pool with them and paid them directly. Only to be told by the owner that "we" were unethical for using them behind their back and that they would not complete our pool. Turning a company's poor business running and performance in to the customer's fault...not good. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...EVER! read more

We have purchased chemicals for our pool from this company for years and they have always had the best prices in town. We had to have our pool refinished, and their price was the best around. We decided to refinish our pool with pebble tech and re-tile the water line. Stevie and Chris were very patient with us when we were trying to decide which tiles to pick. The crew that came out to refinish the pool were very professional and did an excellent job. Christal Clear Pools then went above and beyond to balance our water chemicals after the resurfacing. Having difficulties with my pool filtration. I stopped in on a Saturday and requested a service call. Filled out a form with description of the problems I was having and was told that a technician would be in touch with me on the way to my home on Monday or Tuesday . No one ever came or bothered to call to say they wouldn't be coming or to reschedule. read more

We are very happy with the service from crystal-clear pools. Thanks to Al in the service department for doing a great job replacing 30 year old pool equipment. When the pump motor could not be repaired he replaced the pump motor and pump for a very fair price installed in one day. Give these guys a try! read more

At first I was excited to find this place, the staff seems very friendly and helpful, that is until I actually wanted them to do the work on my pool. I filled out a service order request, was told not to waste my money on my chemicals because they would be coming out to clean and give me an estimate on closing my pool for the winter. Weeks went by nobody showed, I went up there, was told they are behind because of all the rain and it would be another week, two more weeks go by and no show, I call and I'm told that they are really behind still from all the rain and wind lately, the man helping me on the phone can't find my service order and says he still has a guy in the field and he will call me first thing in the morning with an update, no call... no show I go up there again they are closed... during their normal hours no sign on the door nothing.. I call the next day no answer... this continues for weeks. I drive by today and the are actually open... and the guy tells me that it's my fault my pool is now green (no chemicals, plus rain and leaves will do that) because I didn't take care of it, (mind you this is what he told me to do) and then proceeds to ask if I would ignore my kids needs for months and I shouldn't have waited for them to come clean my pool... Um I'm sorry there is a huge difference between my children and my pool. At this point I still politely say I'll get this figured out and he says he will give me the free chemicals. Free stuff if not why I went in there today. I'm 4 months pregnant (why I filled out a work order for this in the first place) I don't want nor should I be dealing with the chemicals. I just wanted to know why my work order had been passed up for months. Here is my stance... don't allow someone to complete a work order request and say you will send you guys out to do the work, if that's not the case. Be up front and honest with your customers, if you didn't want my business that's fine, as a company you have every right to decline it. Instead you accepted it, didn't follow through and now I have a bigger mess to deal with and to top it all off don't blame your customers for your mistake. This was horrible customer service and I won't be back. To those who try this place, please beware of the potential for this to happen to you as well. read more
