On my second visit to this salon I was with stylist Nuvia (spelling?) and she gave me the WORST cut of my entire life, seriously - #1 worst cut. I have short hair, an inverted bob, and she cut entire sections of my hair out, leaving half an inch over my ear and on the crown of my head. I left in tears and it took 11 months to grow back to where I could get the cut I liked again. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is that the stylist who did my eyebrows did an amazing job. I have work with Nichole who is absolutely amazing, did I say AMAZING! She is top best, AAA++, did has done the best color I have ever had. She is truly sincere and kind and works with with people to help you accomplish your ultimate beauty dream. My husband's ex wife was a hairdresser and he was completely impressed, and he told me " you can't go any where else - that lady did an amazing job! You look great! ". Nichole also did an amazing cut on my teenage daughter who has long thick chestnut colored hair. She did an absolute perfect cut both on my thin air and my daughter's long think mane of hair. Chris is awesome! Hard to find a good salon for a guys haircut in North Phoenix. Chris is affordable, fast, and always cuts my hair right. I hate going to a place where the haircut is different every time you go. She is very consistent and just knows how to really cut hair. I'm a guy, and I've been going here for years now. I wanted a place that did good cuts (not one of those cheap 10 dollar cuts places), but not some snooty "high end" salon-the owner (and the girls) are genuine, talented, always smiling, and they do great work. When I told my wife about the place, that I was impressed with it, and suggested that she go there, she started explaining to me that I didn't understand what it was like when a woman finally finds a stylist and a place that she feels comfortable with...then something happened with her stylist and she figured she would try the place once-not only does it cost less, but she hasn't gone anywhere since... Love this salon! Relaxing atmosphere. I started getting my hair highlighted a year ago and I wasn't happy with my previous salon so I started coming here. Majority of the women in my family get their hair done here and they all have great hair so I switched to Chris Le Salon. So happy I made that choice! Nuvia does my hair and she pays attention to detail and I have been thrilled with the results every time I have gone in. All the employees are kind and courteous as well. Went to this salon for the first time. Got there a fee minutes early. There were 6 women in the place, only one of which was a customer having their hair done. The others were sitting around doing nothing. Of course the hair dresser cutting the woman's hair happened to be who I was waiting for. She did an ok job but basically this seemed like an overpriced cost cutters. Will be looking for somewhere else. They asked little to no questions about what I was looking for. Had no suggestions on what would look right with my facial features, etc. I would say if you are looking for a place that can offer feedback on hairstyles and coloring this is not the place. read more

I came in with a coupon for hair color and it was ok so I found out they did make up and came back for a hair and make up consultation for my wedding day. When I came in on my wedding day, they couldn't duplicate the half updo and when I wasn't happy she told me I was being picky! The make up girl was fine except she insulted me with her comments on my "tiny" eyes and how my eyebrows were weird because the hair grew down. What a way to make me feel good on my wedding day! Why would I ever go back!? The best part was the table of snacks and champagne, but I still couldn't wait to get out of there! read more

I went to this salon and dealt with Neuvia. She completely butchered my hair. I have short hair already and wanted it cleaned up and cut into a pixie. I had a picture available that she glanced at. It did use clippers on the bottom of the cut 3 gaurd. Then it was to be blended down and textured on top. She shaved my head all the way up to the crown and cut all the length of the top. It not only is uneven in the fading portion but the top is 3 different lengths I have to wear hats now through the holiday season. I am embarrassed beyond belief. I will NEVER return to this shop. She argued with me until I showed her the picture again. Her response, oh I didn't see that the first time. I told her that is why I gave you the picture as refrence. I walked out. I should have known better when she started. This is absolutely modifying. I don't want to give this a start but I have too. If you decide to go to this salon avoid her at all costs. read more

First, let me say that I can only rate the wax service at Chris Le. I came in here on a whim after seeing decent reviews because I was in need of a brow wax. The salon is nice and relaxed inside, but I couldn't believe the "waxing area" was the same as the shampooing area. I was not expecting to have my head hanging in the sink while the waxing technician stood over me and waxed my brows. I avoid getting brow waxes at nail salons and malls, but this experience didn't seem much different. Not to mention, the woman who waxed me seemed completely uninterested and somewhat irritated that she was asked to help me. The whole thing took five minutes and I now wish I didn't spend my money here. read more

i chose chris le salon because it is close to my house. the girl that helped me is melissa. in the beginning of june i was in the hospital with pneumonia and extremely ill. after came rehab. during this time i thought of nothing but getting well. when i could i called the salon and made an appt for fri at 2pm. the next day melissa called and said she was cancelling my appt because i did not call and cancel the previous appt. and would put me on a walk in bases. what stupidity. who does she think she is. frankly not that good but has a very high opinion of herself. this does not say a lot for the policy of the shop. i would never recommend the shop to anyone. p.s.i told them about why i had not called and they didn't care if i was sick or not. read more

I've never written a review on anything, and I'm only taking the time to do so now because I am so upset and I don't know how else to express it. I was referred here by a friend who said I'd get like 20 percent off my first time(I didn't). I had a picture of what I wanted and the lady that was originally supposed to do my hair understood and seemed confident in what she was doing. Unfortunately she couldn't do my hair because it would have overlapped with her next clients appointment. Long story short my hair was done by someone else and I left with it looking not even remotely close to how I wanted it. I thought I'd just give it a chance, but my boyfriend, best friend and sister all said they did not like it at all. I agreed. I went back to have it redone and left again totally unsatisfied. I had a brief conversation with the lady that was originally supposed to do my hair and she still understood what I wanted, but unfortunately she was not the one that redid my hair. I'm only expressing my dismay about this because as a broke college student I'm lucky if I can even get a hair cut more than once a year. To have spent 145 dollars on hair color that couldn't have looked worse if I did if from a box, is overwhelmingly upsetting. read more

This salon was by far the worst salon I have been to. It is unwelcoming and customer service is horrible. I was greeted by my stylist who was not so friendly. Then I asked for highlights and she took three hours by the time we were finished my hair was broken off three inches from my scalp! I got no apology! Then I asked just for a trim and asked her not to put any layers in she cut 4inches off my hair with really short layers in effort to try to blend with the hair that she had just broken off! They charged me 110$ then chits sat down with me and offered to fix it the fallowing week, they had called to confirm my appointment and little did I know it was with the same stylist! Not chirs! I nicely said no thanks I would not like to see her again and just asked for a refund on the service the receptionist hung up on me and when I tried to call back she hung up again. I went to the salon and they still refused to refund me, and told me the sylist had done nothing wrong! Watch out! I would never go back! read more
