They have 2…read morelarge, full size basketball courts, an indoor swimming pool for the university swim team, a sauna connected to the locker rooms with showers. And they have just about every machine and free weight you can ask for. Now this gym is a little older, and the equipment isn't in pristine condition, but it's equal to, if not slightly better than any gym you'll find on a deployment. Being faculty at the university, I have free access to the gym and I can get in after hours via my faculty ID. Just swipe it and you're in. That's key, as the employees don't arrive until 0630, however our ROTC PRT program begins at 0600 every morning. The gym is also used in the morning by several of the university athletic teams. They hold practice and strength and conditioning training there during the colder winter months. It's not the only gym on campus, but I believe the facilities in the D1 Dwyer Center are just for the D1 athletes. No worries though, this gym and the university's allowing us free reign of it, is more than enough for our future Army leaders to train in.

Adam Ferchen at Elite Fitness will singlehandedly change both your mental and physical approach. I have trained at numerous gyms and with multiple trainers with moderate success, but nowhere have I been as satisfied as here. The gym has such a unique atmosphere and a diverse range of occupants, anyone will feel right at home. I commute 30 minutes to workout here when I live less than a mile from LA fitness. With flexible training packages and various forms of coaching, you really can't beat this place.

Long story short, signed up for a membership, finances changed drastically and attempted cancelling. My situation was unique as children were involved but nope, these guys cared about their income. Monica "The Owner" speaks over you, she went as far as to judge "the type of person I am", yells at you, hangs up on you, requests more emails after I personally called to cancel (while forwarding the email of the previous request over the phone which was sent 10 months ago). FYI, my contract was up, they were paid in full, I allowed them to take their full payment every month to avoid trouble. I just called to cancel understanding my contract was up and was met with hostility. Yes, although a contract was signed, consideration should be shown to customers in certain situations. As per Monica, they will not make exceptions for a single customer. Don't believe me? Go find out yourself.

There was a member who cut in line to put her name on an aquafit class signup sheet that already had ten members signing up for which was all that was allowed. He basically allowed this and cut me from the class while I was in the pool waiting for the class to start. He knew the lady was coming for the class as she had called to say she wanted to attend the class. To deescalate the problem Johnathan should have told the ten people waiting that someone would be bumped from the class instead he said I don't decide who gets into the class I just drop the sheet and all of you decide who gets into the class. So the lady arrives five minutes before the signup sheet gets dropped on the counter and she grabs the sheet that was intended for the tenth attendee to sign. Very childish behaviour from a Manager who should have told the member she was too late to sign up as there was already ten people in the class. Once again, Johnathan, you failed to be a responsible Manager and failed to treat all acquifit members respectfully. You really need to take a course on how to conduct yourself professionally and how to handle oncoming conflicts. Removing someone from a class does not solve the problem. And then saying that all early arrival aquafit attendees are taking up space and shouldn't arrive early just to get a spot in line for the class.

Upon entering, I witnessed a member of the club (I recognized him), a man about 5'10 in red shorts and a "Trump 2024" hat, harassing a Hispanic woman and her teenage daughter as she loaded groceries into her car. Men walked past this before me and into Crunch, notifying management. After the altercation ended with me, 5'2 29 y/o woman, getting in his face and telling him to "leave her alone" and that she "wasn't doing anything to him," I also reported this to management (it appears they were aware as it was happening and chose to do nothing) I was informed they were speaking with manager, Bella, whose resolution was "there's nothing we can do about it" and this man allowed to stay and workout at this location. This is not his first time harassing another human being, as I was told he followed another member home previously, enraged at him for hitting his vape in the gym. As I was going to leave, the man was sitting in his car in the parking lot for well over 30 minutes. I was scared to walk to my car, not wanting him to follow me. This man is unhinged and dangerous. Management was aware and chose to do nothing. Let this be a warning to any woman or other minority who frequents (or works at) this location, as you are likely working out with someone who wishes you harm and appears to be comfortable acting on that wish. And Crunch is okay with that. The sign on the wall, "We have the right to refuse service to anyone," is proof that doing nothing was a choice by this management team. Safety is not a priority here. "Silence in the face of oppression is complicity with the oppressor." I am very disappointed and will not be coming back. Stay safe and practice good morals, speak up even if your voice shakes

There are 2 different lanes, one is for checking out/exit (to keep the capacity count) and one is for checking in, which your temperature will be taken. I'm so glad that they have sanitizing areas throughout the gym where members wipe down the equipment before and after use. There's also a staff with cleaning equipment who constantly clean, ensuring that other surfaces are wiped down. Thank you for keeping everyone safe. Don't forget to wear your mask!!

Ryan, who is on the maintenance team, is really on point in trying to keep the gym as clean as possible, which is no small task during the winter when there is a constant tracking of snow and salt on the floor; the man is constantly mopping the floor and does a great job at it. Plenty of equipment, sauna, showers, and lockers.

A really great setup for Muay Thai Kickboxing. I really loved Craig's class today (Saturday at…read more11am). This was my first time here, and out of about 5 other kickboxing gyms I've tried, this was by far the best. We started with a 3 minute warm-up with consisted of free style of your choosing. Then we started on two minute rounds on several different types of bags, bags I've never even used or even seen before. I loved being able to try out different bags like this, which gave you a better opportunity to learn technique. I'm between some rounds we did some push ups or jumping jacks, and at the very end of class we did sprints and side sprints. There were a total of 8 people in this morning's class, which I feel like was the perfect amount. I really don't like going to classes where there are too many people and the instructor cannot work with you one on one at all and show you proper technique. I get exercise fatigue quite easily, was getting a little too winded, then Craig handed us some Vitamin C drops which seemed to help wonders. I can't wait to come back in two weeks!
