We only come to Lewiston a few times a year and usually just make do with the casino gym. While we…read moreget our workouts done there, they're pretty subpar and don't really challenge us. This time, my fiancé found Pro Muscle Lifting Club on Instagram and reached out, and from the very start, the owners (or account manager) were incredibly communicative and welcoming. The gym is in Buffalo, about a 15-20 minute drive from Lewiston, but it's absolutely worth it. The equipment is some of the best we've ever seen--seriously impressive--and they even have dumbbells that go up to 150 lbs. they also have cardio machines. We were there during Thanksgiving week and wanted to workout on Thanksgiving Day. To our surprise, they responded to our Instagram message promptly to let us know they'd be open! Meeting them in person only made us more impressed. We liked it so much we upgraded our day passes to a weekly pass, even though we were only going to be there three days. The gym itself is spacious, well-organized, clean, and free of clutter. They have a few machines and attachments we'd never seen before, which made for exciting and challenging workouts that left us both sore in the best way. There was no crowding at all--maybe 20-25 people when we were there--which made for a comfortable and focused workout environment. For bodybuilders, this gym is a dream--there's even a posing room! On top of that, the owners suggested a really tasty and healthy lunch option that we truly enjoyed. This gym has officially become our New York "gym home," and we can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a top-notch workout experience!

I've had my best workouts here, and the owners and trainers are extremely friendly and helpful. Whether you're a competitor or just starting out, I highly recommend this fitness center to anyone serious about lifting and getting results

I'll say the same here that I have told Planet Fitness when they send out their member survey emails. Of all the gyms out there you can join, Planet Fitness is definitely one of them. It's an OK spot to go and push heavy things against gravity, but mostly it's a cardio gym. They have a good variety of equipment but very limited in some aspects of what they provide. The main negative issue I have is the fact for someone who goes solo to the gym most of the time, the equipment I want to use is often occupied by people who want to spend more time sitting and looking at their phones than actually using the equipment, which creates a frustrating experience. And while I wait for people to be done with the one or two pieces of equipment I want to use, behind me will be a row of a dozen or more cardio machines with only one or two in use. It's a gym. It's a national brand. They're not hitting home runs, but they're not striking out either. Remember, three stars should be "average." Not failure. I will give props to the employees - always on the ball, and friendly. They do seem to have a bit of employee turnover every few months.

The carpet between the walls and machines could use a vacuuming up all the dust bunnies. I stayed here for about 20 minutes and left. The Alameda location in California and Hamburg location in NY put this club to shame. Management makes a huge difference. When the machines are cluttered too closely together it makes for an unsafe environment. I was using an overhead press and when I went to lift and press overhead my machine bumped into the machine next to me. Disturbing a lady who was working out then she felt the need to apologize even though it wasn't her fault the gym has no space or room between machines. Try storing some of the machines until construction is finished. And buy a mop, bucket, and vacuum.

When i talked to the staff they told me "that's outdated, all we have is 17$ a month". How about take the sign down? I then signed up for the regular price on 3/28, when i walked in in 4/1 they had a special going for 1$ down and first month free. The front desk couldn't have warned me that maybe I should wait one day to sign up? I asked them and they said nothing could be done. So in summary, their staff is purposefully misleading people to take money. Go to Catalyst instead or anywhere else really.
