Never rushed and her "out of the box" thinking is refreshing considering the managed medical environment most of us experience these days. She has managed me through some on the blackest days my psyche has undergone of late and has bent over backwards to provide me with the tools and documentation I've needed to move forward with life. In all, this is a physician with whom I wish to move forward with, for many years to come.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This doctor was SO incredibly rude. I was at a loss for words…read morefor how awful she was to my family member. She first was annoyed that we asked her to speak Spanish. When on her bio mentions she speaks it fluently. Her demeanor towards us left us wanting to leave the appointment immediately. Made my family member feel incredibly bad about themselves to the point that she felt her blood pressure raise and was left shaken from the worse experience ever from a doctor. Very insensitive to so many questions. Zero bedside manner. No sense of patience or care AT ALL. She was annoyed that I was prepared with lab work as if that isn't her job to look at it. I don't know how she considers herself a doctor. If she hates people so much, she shouldn't work there. Perhaps the DMV is a better job. I truly feel sorry for anyone that has her. We've never had bad experiences in doctors until today. We will be reporting her to the insurance. This was unacceptable. And incredibly unprofessional. Do not go to her unless you want to feel berated and unappreciated. Unbelievable.

Although Dr. Lee was not in the clinic that day, his nurse, Kimberly, handled my call with genuine care and professionalism. She was patient, compassionate, and made sure my concerns were promptly communicated. Dr. Lee returned my call very quickly after receiving the message. He even spoke directly with my mother to gather more information and carefully assess her condition before recommending appropriate next steps. He advised that she go to the ER; however, my mother was reluctant. When we asked about alternatives, he thoughtfully prescribed medication to help with her dizziness. Despite it being after 5 p.m., Dr. Lee personally called in a prescription to her pharmacy and followed up with me to confirm it had been done. I am incredibly grateful for both his and Kimberly's patience, kindness, and expertise. It's clear that Dr. Lee truly puts his patients first. I highly recommend him as a provider. Thank you, Dr. Lee and Kimberly for the great care of my mother Vivian C.

Anyway,I was 22 minutes late for the new patient appointment and the receptionist told me I need to reschedule despite I told her I had spent more than an hour in traffic to get here from Dana Point. I was referred to this place by a friend who's mom used to be a patient here and that was like 6 yrs ago. Doctor had incredible memories and still remembered some details. As to the background of the doctor Lee Ching, his father practiced traditional Chinese medicine. He was influenced by it and won't ask you to take medication unless necessary. In contrary, he also told me he does not think the Chinese Medicine treatment I had been through can cure my heart problem...etc. The doctor spent lot of time for my first visit and ordered few lab tests that seem complete including all problems. I never feel rushed and I normally get anxious when I am at doctor's. Now I understand why I was late for the 1st visit and they had to ask me to reschedule. all I have to say...it totally worth the drive....

He is not only an excellent physician with integrity who takes the commitment of his oath with pride but, hilarious and giving and super loving to all of his patient's. He once viewed my labs even though I was out of network and no longer his patient. He gave me a second opinion and helped me advocate for myself with my new providers. He treats everyone like family. I trust him wholeheartedly and love his approach to treatment which is to find the root cause of the problem and not just treat the symptom. I've also seen Dr. Prechel in his practice and Dr. Young. Nora is in the front office and she has been a total blessing when we need to get my grandparents medications refilled. I can't say enough to express the gratitude I have for Dr. Shams and his whole team, but what I can say for sure is if you stick with him he will become like family. After being his patient for about 20 years he is definitely a part of my family! Thank you so much

The lack…read moreof communication, organization, and follow through from this office has been extremely frustrating and concerning. I have personally had to contact the doctor's office, pharmacy, and insurance company repeatedly, made countless phone calls in an effort to get this resolved. I even had to go to the office in person and contacted the pharmacy myself after being told the office had been unable to reach them for days. What made this even more frustrating was being told that the office did not have my mom's pharmacy information, despite the fact that I had previously called, emailed, and my mom personally came to the office and provided the pharmacy's phone number to the office. As a family member advocating for my mom, I should not have had to coordinate every step of the process just to obtain medication. My experience with Julie at the front desk was also extremely disappointing. I felt she was rude and dismissive, and during one interaction, she called me "stupid" while I was advocating for my mom. I found that completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I am not someone who likes leaving negative reviews, but this experience has been incredibly frustrating. Patients and their families deserve better communication, respect, and follow through when it comes to their healthcare. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.

Allergy Test Request: I specifically told him that I'm allergic to seafood, nuts, and eggs. I even mentioned that I accidentally ate shrimp recently and wanted to get an allergy test for confirmation and reassurance. Instead of helping me, he just brushed it off and said, "Oh you're allergic if you feel something, no need for a test. Are you sure you ate fish? Maybe it's something else you're allergic to." Basically gaslighting me -- even though my medical record already shows I've had an allergic reaction to fish sauce before. How hard is it to just order an allergy test? 2. Eczema (Lifelong Condition): I've had eczema since I was born. I went in with obvious flare-up symptoms: dry, flaky, itchy, white skin. I asked for a stronger prescription (hydrocortisone 2.5%) because the OTC 1% wasn't cutting it. I saw this guy FOUR separate times: 1st visit: He misdiagnoses me with keratosis pilaris (wrong). 2nd visit: He finally says it's eczema but claims that if I just moisturize and take cetirizine (basically prescription Zyrtec) it would "cure" my eczema. Which is absolute nonsense. 3rd visit: He literally frowns at me, asks me why I'm even there, and dismisses me in like two minutes. 4th visit: He finally caves and gives me a referral to a dermatologist. Now let me emphasize -- his office is always empty (literally maybe two people max in the waiting room) but somehow it takes 45 minutes to an hour to be seen. Then when he finally sees you, he barely spends more than 2 minutes in the room before dismissing you. If he's going to make patients wait that long, the least he could do is actually address the issue instead of brushing it off every single time. After the 4th visit, I switched him out as my PCP immediately. Saw the dermatologist and guess what? I DO have eczema, no, it does not just "go away" with cetirizine, and yes, I did need a steroid cream to manage the itching and flare-ups. Also, Dr. Tran confidently told me that using hydrocortisone could make me "turn albino." My dermatologist flat-out confirmed that's completely false. Overall: This doctor has a serious ego problem, dismisses patients, gives incorrect advice, and acts like he knows it all when he clearly doesn't. If you actually want answers and real medical care, don't waste your time here.
