The grass is lush and well kept, and there are even trees being planted for future shade! What I love the most is how HUGE the space is for the big dogs. The only thing though is that it's just a damn shame there are still some nasty pet owners who don't take responsibility for their own pet and pick up after them. They have 2 play structures, a baseball field, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball area, and a soccer field. They also have a large, covered picnic area right in the center of it all. You can reserve this space from the city of Pittsburg on non-holiday weekends. The only bad thing about this park is the wind. We all know that when we are playing a sport, the wind can carry the ball in unwanted directions. That's my only reason this park didn't make the 5 stars cut.

This place hasn't changed too much since I was last in here. It was nice and clean. A lot of seating in the lobby. I can't wait to see what she does in the clay class! It's a drop off only. I really enjoy these classes that the Antioch recreation center offers! A lot of selection and inexpensive. If you're a resident, you get a little discount too.

With such a large area, it seems like they should have a fenced in dog park. Also, there's no basketball courts or other sports facilities. There's some at the school, but I'm not sure if those are available to the public. Overall, it's a quiet place with wide open turf and shade trees. Park along street, no off-street lot. Country Manor Park is a small park in Antioch that I used to frequent as a kid. Before I actually…read morelived in the Bay Area, my Dad would take my siblings and I here to watch the fireworks on top of the hill when we would come to visit. It became somewhat of a ritual when I moved to Antioch, and our family friends would join us here to watch the Fireworks on the Fourth of July and sometimes on New Years Eve. I started coming here on my own with my friends when I was in high school and it became our little hangout spot. Fast forward to today, and this park still offers an amazing viewpoint of the Antioch Bridge, Mount Diablo, and the city of Antioch itself. Every so often, I would take a trip down memory lane and drive down to this park to take a walk and to enjoy the view on top of the hill. I will admit that it's been too many years too long since I've visited this park, but I'm glad that I made a stop here recently. Aside from the wonderful viewpoint, the park offers a nice playground for young kids to enjoy, a paved path for walking your dogs (or just for yourself), a large grassy field, and even a batting cage and dugout for hosting baseball and softball games. There are a few benches and tables along the path and one barbecue pit at the opposite end of the parking lot. The park itself is very peaceful and it has never been crowded during the many years that I have come here. There is a small parking lot that rarely ever gets full and ample street parking as it is located in a residential area off of Asilomar Drive. They also have restrooms but they were closed during my most recent visit due to maintenance. The paved path circles around the field, but it connects to another path that will lead you on a trail behind another residential area. To access the view point, you can take the narrow dirt trail next to the batting cage that will lead you up to the top of the hill. There is one part of the trail that is extremely muddy because of all of the rain and should be proceeded with caution as slipping can be possible. The hill is a short walk up but very steep. The views are totally worth the trek up to the top! Usually this area is pretty well maintained, but it was really grassy when I last visited. I hold this little park near and dear to my heart. It's always nostalgic for me when I do come to visit, even after years of not going. It's a great place to go if you're looking for a local park to take your dog for a walk, your children out to play, or even just to relax and take in the wonderful views on top of the hill.

On our way there we passed by several homeless people and potheads which I thought wasn't a safe environment for children to play around. We also saw several piles of glass on the bridge next to the park. The actual park was dirty and had leaves and insects everywhere. There were two playgrounds across from each other with a few benches. They were quite small and lame and the padding underneath the wood chips was sticking up. There is also a giant facility next to the park with large trucks carrying metal beams.
