Now, that was a pleasant surprise for Lulu and me last Saturday. We stayed sitting at one of the tables, watching the games. But there's more here; it's a children's playground, several trails throughout the wooded areas, and the paths are cleared of debris. It's a really clean park, the tables aren't stained. There are plenty of garbage cans throughout. It's plenty of parking; even on Saturday, when the park was packed, we still got a place. I was hiking alone on a trail once in 2023 and a light green snake rose from the ground and intensely stared at me. This snake was taller than me and I'm 5'6 for reference. The specific trail I was on was connected to the playgrounds. This was a terrifying and honestly traumatic experience; but I wanted to share my experience as a warning because I know lots of people bring their kids and pets there. Please be safe if you choose to go; but no matter how beautiful it is I can't recommend due to safety issues concerning the wilderness. I only walked away from the snake incident unscathed by the grace of God.
